A estética discursiva nos contos da literatura oral mirandesa: uma abordagem estatístico-pragmática

Neste artigo, pretendo destacar a forma como o discurso dos contos da literatura oral obedece a regras e leis que podem ser medidas e verificadas.Para tal, analisarei três narrativas, em língua mirandesa, recolhidas na Terra de Miranda onde este idioma é falado. Em seguida, procederei à descrição da sua estrutura, assim como à trajectória e organização discursiva, que sobressai para além da aparente simplicidade e desorganização. Na primeira parte, de carácter empírico, descreverei algumas particularidades desta região, reflectindo sobre o papel dos contos da literatura oral na construção da identidade mirandesa. Na segunda, de âmbito estatístico, será feita a análise dos dados lexicais, textuais e discursivos. O método de trabalho baseia-se na estatística paramétrica. Esta análise é confrontada com os dados teóricos que acompanham, corroboram ou contestam, os dados estatísticos. O estudo completa-se com a apresentação dos textos e das ecografias lexicais de cada conto.

Zusammenhänge zwischen Persönlichkeitseigenschaften, betriebswirtschaftlichem Denken und beruflichem Erfolg

Für diese Studie wurden 38 Führungskräfte der mittleren und der oberen Managementebene sowie 36 Studierende der Betriebwirtschaftslehre und der Wirtschaftsinformatik zu Persönlichkeitsdimensionen, der Fähigkeit zu wirtschaftlichem Denken sowie zum Karriereverlauf befragt. Die Führungskräfte sind tendenziell emotional stabiler und weisen signifikant höhere Werte in der verbalen Intelligenz auf als die Studierenden. In den Persönlichkeitsdimensionen Emotionale Stabilität, Extraversion, Verträglichkeit, Offenheit für Neues und Gewissenhaftigkeit unterscheiden sich Führungskräfte und Studierende hingegen nicht signifikant. Auch in der Persönlichkeitsdimension Psychopathie unterscheiden sich beide Gruppen nicht signifikant. Psychopathie wird in dieser Untersuchung als Persönlichkeitsdimension operationalisiert, nicht als psychopathologische Kategorie mit Krankheitswert. Ein substantieller Zusammenhang zwischen Psychopathiewerten und der Fähigkeit zu wirtschaftlichem Denken wurde nicht festgestellt. Es wird vermutet, dass der fehlende Zusammenhang auf die unzureichende Operationalisierung von wirtschaftlichem Denken zurückzuführen ist. In den Folgeuntersuchungen wird wirtschaftliches Denken umfassender operationalisiert werden.

User modeling In adaptive hypermedia educational systems

This document is a survey in the research area of User Modeling (UM) for the specific field of Adaptive Learning. The aims of this document are: To define what it is a User Model; To present existing and well known User Models; To analyze the existent standards related with UM; To compare existing systems. In the scientific area of User Modeling (UM), numerous research and developed systems already seem to promise good results, but some experimentation and implementation are still necessary to conclude about the utility of the UM. That is, the experimentation and implementation of these systems are still very scarce to determine the utility of some of the referred applications. At present, the Student Modeling research goes in the direction to make possible reuse a student model in different systems. The standards are more and more relevant for this effect, allowing systems communicate and to share data, components and structures, at syntax and semantic level, even if most of them still only allow syntax integration.

Besnoitia besnoiti and Toxoplasma gondii: two apicomplexan strategies to manipulate the host cell centrosome and Golgi apparatus

Besnoitia besnoiti and Toxoplasma gondii are two closely related parasites that interact with the host cell microtubule cytoskeleton during host cell invasion. Here we studied the relationship between the ability of these parasites to invade and to recruit the host cell centrosome and the Golgi apparatus. We observed that T. gondii recruits the host cell centrosome towards the parasitophorous vacuole (PV), whereas B. besnoiti does not. Notably, both parasites recruit the host Golgi apparatus to the PV but its organization is affected in different ways. We also investigated the impact of depleting and over-expressing the host centrosomal protein TBCCD1, involved in centrosome positioning and Golgi apparatus integrity, on the ability of these parasites to invade and replicate. Toxoplasma gondii replication rate decreases in cells over-expressing TBCCD1 but not in TBCCD1-depleted cells; while for B. besnoiti no differences were found. However, B. besnoiti promotes a reorganization of the Golgi ribbon previously fragmented by TBCCD1 depletion. These results suggest that successful establishment of PVs in the host cell requires modulation of the Golgi apparatus which probably involves modifications in microtubule cytoskeleton organization and dynamics. These differences in how T. gondii and B. besnoiti interact with their host cells may indicate different evolutionary paths.

Synthesis and structural characterization of new Piano-stool Ruthenium(II) complexes bearing 1-Butylimidazole heteroaromatic ligand

New cationic ruthenium(II) complexes with the formula [Ru(eta(5)-C5H5)(LL)(1-BuIm)] [Z], with (LL) = 2PPh(3) or DPPE, and Z = CF3SO3-, PF6-, BPh4-, have been synthesized and fully characterized. Spectroscopic and electrochemical studies revealed that the electronic properties of the coordinated 1-butylimidazole were clearly influenced by the nature of the phosphane coligands (LL) and also by the different counter ions. The solid state structures of the six complexes determined by X-ray crystallographic studies, confirmed the expected distorted three-legged piano stool structure. However the geometry of the 1-butylimidazole ligand was found considerably different in all six compounds, being governed by the stereochemistry of the mono and bidentate coligands (PPh3 or DPPE).

The impact of the Board of Directors’ composition on companies’ performance This paper studies the impact that the board of directors’ composition has on companies’ performance in the Italian market. The research has been carried out by using a sample of 10 Italian companies, across different market sectors, over a period of 10 years (2005-2014). The characteristics of the BoD taken into consideration are the following: board size, board diversity (% of female directors), board independence and CEO duality. Results from the sample data collected concluded that these factors have a statistically significant impact on the performance of the companies that have been analysed.

The case outlines the history of Jerónimo Martins and the Dos Santos family in the context of a dialogue between the pater familias Alexandre and his successor Pedro. The case idea analyses the problems associated with next generation entrance in the family business and the outcomes on the different stakeholders and environment, with a particular focus on the evolution of the relationship between family, family holding and the JM group. The case is designed to assess the sustainability of a traditional succession strategy in the context of the challenges of globalization and growth of the company and family, analysing the reciprocal influence in a long-term strategy.

Après avoir par volumes abregez ostencion faicte des actes gallicanes et ultransmontaines choses encommancées à la fin de l'an mille quatre cens quatre vingts dix huyt et icelles continuées ... » et finit (fol. 230) par : « ... et puys très devotement celebra la joyeuse feste de Pasques, sur laquelle mectray paille à mon escript, jucques à temps, en faisant fin au recit de ce present historial volume contenant les faictz de France de l'an mille cincq cens et ung continuant jucques à l'an mille cincq cens et six ».
