Que políticas o Estado brasileiro tem adotado em relação a seus emigrantes? Como essa política tem evoluído? Quais são as motivações e os propósitos dessa orientação e a quem se destina prioritariamente? Estas são algumas das questões que Fernanda Rais Ushijima analisa e para as quais ela busca respostas neste trabalho. Fruto das indagações da autora sobre as responsabilidades e a atuação dos países de origem dos emigrantes de modo geral e, em especial, do Brasil, em relação à emigração, a obra aborda a adaptação do Estado brasileiro nessa área entre 1990 e 2010, enfocando as mudanças estruturais promovidas no Ministério das Relações Exteriores. As conclusões da autora sustentam-se nessas mudanças. Ela escreve: A política para os brasileiros no exterior representa uma tentativa de extensão da soberania para além do território contíguo, por meio da extensão de direitos, que implica também deveres, e da formalização das remessas, o que as colocam sob controle fiscal. A obra trata não somente da política voltada para os brasileiros que deixaram o país, mas também à destinada a seus descendentes nascidos no exterior, mostrando que a legislação abrange, além da cidadania emigrante, a cidadania extraterritorial.

Neste livro pretende-se analisar, por meio dos comentários publicados pelo jornal O Estado de S. Paulo, os rastros deixados pelos colaboradores que, durante os anos de 1938 a 1945, interpretaram os acontecimentos do campo internacional como transformadores da realidade interna. Nesse sentido, não se trata de estudar os fatos que marcaram a Segunda Guerra Mundial, mas sim de demonstrar de que modo os articulistas construíram imagens que se firmaram ao longo do tempo e que destoavam, em grande medida, das diretrizes propugnadas pelo Estado Novo.

The Comando dos Trabalhadores Intelectuais (CTI) was a group, a space of organization and representation of brazilian intellectuals and artists and that, previous to the military coup in 1964, participated of the debates and fomented the inclusion of sectors of the national intelligentzia in the democratization’s process of the culture. His insertion politics, of the point of view of the effervecence lived for the organized socials movements in Brazil in the years of João Goulart’s government, bring elements to detail the dynamics of the cultural left’s organizations that had emerged of the review’s process of Brazilian Communist Party (PCB), since 1958. The relevance of CTI is confirmed when understand it like an organization that congregated many intellectuals and artists that, after of the military coup in 1964, had been presents in the artistic and cultural brazilian scene, doing resistance to the military governments that if had occurred in the next decades.

This work aims to understand the ways that have led Brazilian geographers to use the gender category as an analytic element in other to understand the production of space, through the theoretical perspective of Feminist Geographies. Thus, it is important to consider, in the history of geographical science, the theoretical and methodological foundations which enabled the inclusion of gender in researches, since this subject belongs to the field of Anthropology and Sociology and it rarely appears in geographical investigations. It is understood that the gender, as an analytical category of intertwined social relation of space, comprising not only the femininity as well as masculinity and transexualities, analyzed in a relational perspective. However , greater emphasis on the understanding of woman as an agent of space will occur, due to the importance of taking the role of women in building the world out of the hidden of history. Therefore, some works produced in Geography in Brazil will be presented and discussed in order to give visibility on the treatment of space and gender relationship

Due to the popularity and need to learn sign language, there are tools that help in this type of communication. In Brazil, for example, the government offers professional Sign Language to assist communities, however, if think the hypothesis that people live in places difficult access, there is a difficult in movement of professionals to such places, besides bringing government overspending. Thus, a tool that simulates the movements of professional, fully exploiting the technological resources (cost-benefit) to enrich and provide a tool for communities, it becomes possible order to fill this gap. The system provides resources for editing movements, and these, later, are retrieved by tool for the visualization and representation of signals in a Virtual Environment. The resources used, provide two unconventional devices for tracking body, the Wiimote controllers and P5 glove.

This study aimed to verify the existence of articles on human resource management and sustainability in the major journals in the administration area in Brazil. Were selected for the study 24 national journals Qualis A1 to B3. The results indicated that the interaction between these two areas is recent in Brazil, since the first publications appeared only in 2006, and found 170 articles that investigated the human resource management only nine established relationship with sustainability.

Tomando como punto de partida la invisibilidad de la producción científica de enfermería, en la perspectiva antropológica, en las revisiones de la literatura sobre antropología de la salud en Brasil, el objetivo de este artículo es realizar un breve análisis crítico de la relación entre enfermería y antropología puntuando las particularidades del contexto brasileño en comparación con países como Estados Unidos, Gran Bretaña y España y, en especial, discutir los dilemas (problemas y límites) en las relaciones existentes entre las dos disciplinas y señalar algunos desafíos para su desarrollo y consolidación. Por último, los argumentos y análisis comparativo de la construcción de esta relación en los diferentes países permiten ver ciertas hipótesis que apuntan a contribuir a los futuros debates y estudios en Brasil.

Este trabalho é uma descrição e análise sócio-histórica da Igreja do Nazareno nos aspectos mais importantes que contribuíram para sua inserção e expansão no Brasil. Descrevemos a trajetória formativa dessa Igreja nos Estados Unidos, partindo das considerações históricosociológicas dos valores teológicos que ela agrega, como o Arminianismo, a tradição wesleyana e a doutrina da santidade. Buscamos entender, primordialmente, como se deu o processo de inserção e expansão da Igreja do Nazareno no Brasil, sua estrutura de governo, sua prática litúrgica, a formação de pastores, a forma de agregação de membros e a relação que se estabelece entre esses pastores e os membros. O estudo sobre essa denominação ainda é incipiente no meio acadêmico brasileiro, assim, buscamos suplantar a ausência de informações sobre ela, nesse meio. Portanto, ressaltamos os aspectos de um enfoque sócio histórico institucional que podem se distanciar da forma eclesial como os próprios nazarenos compreendem sua denominação. Na abordagem desse objeto, enfatizamos a pesquisa bibliográfica, a análise documental, a utilização de recursos audiovisuais, bem como a observação participante. Este trabalho possibilitou o entendimento de que a Igreja do Nazareno, desde seus primórdios, conduz sua prática pela distinção no meio protestante em que se insere. No caso do Brasil, em que existem muitas outras denominações, a Igreja se firma sobre sua principal distinção, a doutrina da santidade, a qual, por um enfoque da teoria das economias religiosas, tem servido de produto para atender determinado nicho do mercado religioso brasileiro.

This work has as its main purpose to investigate the contribution of supply chain management in order to obtain competitive advantage by companies from the textile industry and from Ceará footwear industry, focusing its analysis mainly in the interorganizational relations (dyadic). For this, the theoretical referential contemplates different explanatory streams of the competitive advantage, detaching the relational perception of the resources theory, as well as, the main presuppositions of the supply chain management which culminates with the development of an analysis sample that runs the empirical study; the one which considers an expanded purpose of the supply chain which includes the government and the abetment institutions as institutional environment representatives. Besides supply chain management consideration as a competitive advantage source, the work also tried to identify other possible competitive advantage sources for the companies of the investigated sectors. It represents a study of multiple interpretive cases, having four cases as a total; meaning two cases in each one of the sectors, which used as a primary data collecting instrument a semi-structured interview schedule. Different methods were used for the data analysis, the content analysis and the constant comparison methods, the analytical procedure originated from the grounded theory research strategy, which were applied the Atlas/ti software recourse. Considering the theoretical referential and the used analysis sample, four basic categories of the work were defined, including its respective proprieties and dimensions: (1) characteristics concerning to the relationship with the supplier; (2) the company relations with the government; (3) the company relations with the abetment institutions and; (4) obtaining sources of competitive advantage. In general, the applied research in the footwear sector revealed that in the relationships of the researched companies related to its suppliers, there is a predominance of the partnership system and the main presuppositions of the supply chain management are applied which contributes for the acquisition of the relational competitive advantage; while in the textile sector, only some of these presuppositions are applied, with little contribution for the relational competitive advantage. The main resource which was accessed by the companies in both sectors through its relationships with the government and the abetment institutions are the tax incentives which, for the footwear companies, contribute for the acquisition of the temporary competitive advantage in relation to the contestants who do not own productive installations in the Northeast region, it also conducts to a competitive parity situation in relation to the contestants who own productive installations in the Northeast region and to the external market contestants; while for the companies of the textile sector, the tax incentives run the companies to a competitive parity situation in relation to its contestants. Furthermore, the investigated companies from the two sectors possess acquisition sources of the competitive advantage which collimate with different explanatory streams (industrial analysis, resources theory, Austrian school and the dynamic capabilities theory), although there is a predominance of the product innovation as a competitive advantage source in both sectors, due to the bond of these with the fashion tendencies

Considering the need of communication between public management and society and its citizens, in a way which is more effective and transparent, the aim of this research was to analyze the transparency of public information presented by the managers of the portals of southern Brazil’s Federal Institutes. It is a qualitative and quantitative research, applied as its purpose, and exploratory as its aim. In order to explain the issue from the theoretical frameworks published, it will be used as a procedure the bibliographic research and the further study field research in the six southern Brazil’s Federal Institutes. Therefore, the theoretical framework approaches aspects about public transparency, concepts of information and communication in the public sector, and it presents measurement indexes of public transparency. The data collection with the Institutes sought to measure in the portals the level of transparency of the information presented by the managers, applying a search tool which provided the transparency index of eleven categories of the researched items, besides verifying the presence of the required items by Access to Information Law. In the sequence, it sought to verify the Institutes managers’ perception of the aspects which composes the proposed theme, for the purpose of observing how the process of communication between public agencies and the citizen is happening. The main results obtained emphasize, in a general way, a low level of public information propagation, with a lower average of propagation to the information about social, environmental and economic responsibility, and a greater average to the information related to the institution’s general data from its management structure to its ordinance. It was also observed that no institution which was researched fully comply with the demands of the Access of Information Law. The results about the manager perceptio demonstrate a tendency in publishing the produced information, however, elements such disorganization of information in the portals, lack of standardization of the virtual structure and type of language to use, and lack of procedures of popular participation and interaction in the portals are determiners to bring problems in the access and in the communication with the public. Besides, the short time of institutions’ creation and the short time of the managers assuming their functions must be considered as a reflex of the found results. Therewith, the present study highlighted the importance of Public Transparency theme and it reached a positive result to a scientific and social contribution.
