L'objectiu principal d'aquest treball de fi de carrera ha estat aprofitar la importància que Internet ha adquirit com a canal de comunicació per a dissenyar i desenvolupar una aplicació, basada en tecnologia .NET, que gestioni l'activitat d'una penya ciclista.

Patient Client Experience Standards

Patient Experience is a recognised component of high quality care_. Within the six Health and Social Care Trusts, there is a comprehensive programme of work in place to support the implementation of the Patient and Client Experience standards. Trusts are required to submit quarterly progress reports to the Public Health Agency (PHA) and Health and Social Care Board (HSCB). This report sets out the key findings and highlights the key actions arising from the findings.�

Quality Standards for the Delivery of Specialist Stop Smoking Services in Northern Ireland September 2011

Cigarette smoking is the major cause of preventable ill health in Northern Ireland. It accounts for 2400 premature deaths every year. Fifty percent or one in every two smokers will die prematurely due to their addiction; many will suffer chronic ill health and poor quality of life before their death (DHSSPS, 2007; ASH, 2008). Approximately 340,000 people smoke in Northern Ireland or 24% of the population over 16yrs. The Public Health Agency (PHA) commissions specialist stop smoking services across Northern Ireland. It has enabled the establishment of specialist stop smoking services in a range of settings including GP practices, pharmacies, hospitals and community settings. Tobacco control activities are overseen locally by the PHA's Tobacco Control Groups. The multi-agency groups oversee and advise on tobacco control initiatives.All stop smoking services are required to comply with the requirements of 18 standards. This report highlights the standards.

Global regulation of the knowledge-based economy: The rise of standards in educational services

This article examines the extent and limits of non-state forms of authority in international relations. It analyses how the information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure for the tradability of services in a global knowledge-based economy relies on informal regulatory practices for adjustment of ICT-related skills. Companies and associations provide training and certification programmes as part of a growing market for educational services setting their own standards. The existing literature on non-conventional forms of authority in the global political economy has emphasised that the consent of actors subject to informal rules and explicit or implicit state recognition remains crucial for the effectiveness of those new forms of power. However, analyses based on a limited sample of actors tend toward a narrow understanding of the issues and fail to fully explore the differentiated space in which non-state authority is emerging. This paper examines the form of authority underpinning the global knowledge-based economy within the broader perspective of the issues likely to be standardised by technical ICT specification, the wide range of actors involved, and the highly differentiated space where standards become authoritative. The empirical findings highlight the role of different private actors in establishing international educational norms in this field. They also pinpoint the limits of profit-oriented standard-settings, notably with regard to generic norms.

Which European Public Sphere? Normative Standards and Empirical Insights from Multilingual Switzerland

Since the beginning of the 1990s, the EU has been increasingly criticised for its democratic deficit, which is intrinsically linked to the absence of a public sphere at the European level. Whereas scholars consider the emergence of such a public sphere as a necessary requirement for the democratisation of the EU, they disagree on the conceptualisation and normative requirements for a meaningful public sphere at the European level. This article takes an empirical perspective and draws on the nation-state context of multilingual Switzerland to get insights into what a European public sphere might realistically look like. Based on a content analysis of the leading quality paper from each German- and French-speaking Switzerland by means of political claims analysis, it shows that three of the most often cited criteria for a European public sphere - horizontal openness and interconnectedness, shared meaning structures, and inclusiveness - are hardly met in the Swiss context. On this basis, it concludes that the normative barrier for finding a European public sphere might be unrealistically high and should be reconsidered.

L'objectiu principal d'aquest treball de fi de carrera era consolidar els coneixements adquirits durant tots els estudis i, a la vegada, assolir un cert domini dins l'entorn de desenvolupament de programari de Microsoft ?anomenat .NET?, que abans de començar desconeixia completament.

SIG i Arqueologia : el riu Llobregat i la seva relació amb el territori en l'època romana

L'objectiu principal d'aquest Treball és construir un sistema d'informació geogràfica (SIG) que permeti l'anàlisi de la relació del llit del riu Llobregat amb la ubicació dels jaciments arqueològics i les vies de transport del Baix Llobregat en l'època romana.

Gestió de factures electròniques amb VSTO

El present treball de final de carrera s¿ha realitzat en el context de l¿àrea temàtica .NET amb l¿objectiu de crear una aplicació basada en aquesta plataforma tecnològica, utilitzant VSTO (Visual Studio Tools for Office) i generant documentsamb certificat digital.

L'objectiu d'aquest treball és seleccionar un sistema de gestió de continguts de codi obert i dissenyar el web d'uns estudis de la UOC amb el programari escollit. Per a això, es comproven les capacitats d'aquest programari en la gestió del contingut del web: creació de nous continguts, expansió, permisos d'accés, flux de treball, etc.

El Riu Llobregat i la seva relació amb el territori en l'època romana

El Geomedia© facilita agrupar tota la informació com: perfils de terreny, tipus de jaciments, mapes geològics, fonts històriques... per establir la ubicació del riu en època romana i finalment, avaluar els efectes d'una riuada.

El projecte és una aplicació de gestió d'un catàleg de productes realitzada amb la tecnologia .NET. En concret he fet servir l'entorn de programació Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 i el llenguatge Visual Basic .NET com elements principals.

L¿objectiu del projecte es estudiar el que és i el que no és un sistema d¿informació geogràfica,conèixer la tecnologia associada a aquests sistemes, així com el tipus i format de les dades que fan servir. Tanmateix, l¿estudi no és només teòric i, per conèixer els mecanismes de automatització que ofereix GeoMedia, s¿implementa una petita eina de gestió de vèrtexs geodèsics centrada al territori de Catalunya que fa servir Oracle, com a gestor de bases de dades.

Aquest treball final de carrera té com a finalitat aprofundir en el coneixement de les plataformes tecnològiques que permeten el desenvolupament de solucions e-business, i conèixer el negoci del comerç electrònic, en aquest TFC es proposa desenvolupar una aplicació de comerç electrònic usant tecnologia J2EE.

Anàlisi de Requeriments per un Model de Xarxa de Telecomunicacions amb aplicació des d'un Sistema d'Informació Geogràfica

La idea principal és crear un model d'una xarxa de telecomunicacions gestionable des d'un programari d'informació geogràfica (GIS). Es tracta de dissenyar una xarxa simple de fibra òptica similar a les que es fan per a la connexió directa de clients amb aquesta tecnologia.
