A globalização e a demanda de ações sustentáveis do mercado atual, exigem cada vez mais das empresas a busca da melhoria contínua. Os gestores das empresas buscam a todo o momento alcançar o máximo de resultados positivos para obtenção de lucro, com baixos custos de produção e que suas atividades sejam cada vez mais sustentáveis. A utilização de sistemas de indicadores de desempenho é uma alternativa para mensurar o desempenho organizacional, sendo reflexo desta preocupação. Este desempenho deve ser avaliado não apenas em informações financeiras, pois desta forma seria insuficiente para a compreensão do ambiente de negócios dinãmico da atualidade. A utilização de sistemas de indicadores constitui-se uma das principais iniciativas que podem ser implementadas para acompanhar a necessária modernização e evolução da indústria da construção, na busca de aumento de eficiência, eficácia e gerando efetividade nos diversos processos que constituem o sistema de produção. A estratégia de pesquisa utilizada é um estudo de caso, pois tem como objetivo compreender os sistemas de indicadores de desempenho utilizados na região metropolitana de Belém e a relevãncia destes para a tomada de decisão empresarial. Para a pesquisa foram realizadas 5 etapas: 1) elaboração de templates para coleta de dados, 2) seleção de empresas para realização da pesquisa, 3) levantamento de indicadores utilizados, 4) reuniões com as empresas participantes e 5) proposta de sistema de indicadores padronizados. Os principais resultados obtidos foram: (a) entendimento da dinãmica de utilização dos indicadores de desempenho na região; (b) compreensão do comportamento empresarial das empresas da construção civil da região metropolitana relacionados ao uso de sistemas de indicadores de desempenho; (c) proposta de um padrão de sistema de indicadores de desempenho como uma ferramenta de gestão para auxiliar na tomada de decisão empresarial. Verifica-se com os resultados obtidos a necessidade de desenvolvimento de estudos acadêmicos que estimulem a criação de ambientes propícios para a realização de práticas gerenciais colaborativas, na linha de gerenciamento da construção civil, em especial no desenvolvimento de clubes de boas práticas utilizando indicadores de desempenho.

Normalmente, os programas de manutenções implementados nas empresas de geração, transmissão e distribuição de energia elétrica buscam evitar que falhas venham a provocar a retirada do equipamento do sistema elétrico, o que significa grandes perdas financeiras, seja pela diminuição do faturamento, seja pelo pagamento de multas a agência reguladora, alem da diminuição da confiabilidade do sistema. Para evitar esses inconvenientes, a engenharia de manutencao lanca mao de ferramentas estrategicas para a gestao e solucoes dos problemas, visando a otimizacao, juntamente com circulo virtuoso de melhorias continuas nos processos de manutencao. Este trabalho tem por finalidade fazer uma analise da Metodologia de Analise e Solucao de Problemas (MASP), como ferramenta de gestao estrategica na busca e solucao de problemas no ambito da engenharia de manutencao. Para isso, inicialmente, apresenta-se uma serie de informacoes sobre a gestao da manutencao, bem como todo o arcabouco que envolve qualidade e ferramentas gerenciais. Com o capitulo que trata especificamente do MASP, tem-se uma nocao mais exata do quanto cada ferramenta e necessaria para que se possa desenvolver um bom trabalho, visto que ele retrata que essa metodologia nada mais e do que o somatorio de todas as ferramentas existentes, colocadas de maneira ordenada. Por fim, apresentam-se quatro estudos de casos, pelos quais pretendemos demonstrar a Metodologia de Analise e Solucao de Problemas e a aplicabilidade na gestão estratégica, com visão em resultados no ambiente da engenharia de manutenção no pilar das manutenções programadas e autônomas - MP/MA, no ambito da Divisãoo de Transmissão de Ji-Parana/RO - ORDJ, vinculada a Centrais Eletricas do Norte do Brasil (Eletronorte). Na conclusao, faz-se uma analise critica do uso da metodologia na prestação de serviços, baseada na aplicaão supracitada.

Arguments that lean manufacturing can positively relate with the operational performance of companies have been spreading the literature since the 1990s. However, there is a theoretical and empirical gap on this issue that needs further empirical evidence to validate or refute these arguments to the Brazilian reality. Hence, this research aims to, empirically, verify if the lean manufacturing positively influences the performance of the operations of companies in the Brazilian automotive industry, focusing on the segment of automotive parts and components. Methodologically, we carried out a survey of 75 companies in the mentioned sector. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling, a second-generation multivariate analysis. The main results of this research are: in fact, lean manufacturing positively affects the operational performance of the studied companies, validating the main hypothesis stated in this article, but this relation is just considered weak, although positive; all lean manufacturing practices analyzed were encountered in the reality, especially for the variable continuous improvement, with the highest average and the correlation between the adoption of Kanban and Just in Time; the operational performance construct has some practices/measures identified by the literature, which have not been validated by the studied sector, as innovation (new products) and quality.

The private for-profit institution necessarily works with a focus on continuous improvement of the results of its operations, thus ensuring the entry of assets. The archive is often consulted in order to obtain answers to questions of legal, administrative, political and diplomatic. This study aimed to delineate the organizational structure of a renowned brazilian company in the segment of photography in order to meet the tasks, activities and routines specific to the industry named “archive albums”, contextualizing it and providing elements for an effective organization of the ser-vices provided by industry. The study opted for a descriptive-exploratory method through observation of daily routines and interviews with the application of semi-structured questionnaire to industry officials and heads of departments. The results of data collection were synthesized by flow chart and a functional organizational structure that allows us to understand the activities developed by the sector.

The increase of the world population and their consumption power requires companies to increase their production capacity to meet demand. This production process is often performed without control and degrades the environment. In view of the stiffness of the legal requirements and the increasing of environmental concerns, companies need to act in a sustainable way to continue existing. The main objective of this study is to investigate how sustainability reports that follow the guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) can bring benefits to companies in the continuous improvement of its processes and the competitiveness of the sector. The sector chosen for the study was the automotive industry, due to its importance in the national economy and the significant impacts caused to the population and to the environment. The methodology consists of reading the GRI sustainability reports of companies and then performing a comparison among them and the bibliography of the subject. The results confirm the importance of the GRI sustainability reporting for companies and show how the selected indicators can contribute to the corporate management and to the control of its processes

There is a growing search for continuous improvement within the companies which creates an obligation of reducing and when it is possible eliminating waste. Production Planning and Control Department (PCP) is not out of this question, making necessary the application of methods and creation of tools that eliminate steps which do not add value to the planning process. This paper aims to develop a tool which concentrates in just one place all the necessary information to make the packaging material requirement planning (MRP) in a agribusiness company. Besides, it also aims, in a more visual way and using devices that prevent mistakes (Poka-Yoke), to reduce the number of reviews and mistakes made by analysts. As a result, an Excel spreadsheet was developed. This spreadsheet shows what happens with the status of planning and receiving of packaging, giving some advices when some critical situation happens. The use of Lean Manufacturing Method and the action research method helped to well define the problem and to reduce the number of steps, spreadsheets and time of process in 80%, 60% and 75%, respectively

This study aims to assess the implementation of Lean Six Sigma in the preparation of plates and hot lamination process for a company of aluminum rolled products, to improve the quality, productivity and process efficiency. As a basis for achieving these goals, the DMAIC methodology and various quality tools such as Cause Effect Diagram, Process Flow, SIPOC, Pareto, FMEA and Control Chart were used, trying to propose improvements to processes and increase their efficiency. The results were significant and were the basis for the continuation of a continuous improvement project throughout the factory

In an industry, being a big one or small one, the process improvement is always a focus for it to increase in the market. The improvement, if searched in a simple meaning, brings the unique meaning of change to better. However the meaning of process improvement can take much more than a superficial point of view. Kaizen, Process improvement, Continuous improvement, they are some denotations much more comprehensive of a such a term carried of so many meanings. A good concept of improvement if to search inside processes a more appropriate way, a more succinct, a more economic way to realize it. The idea is to make the process in a better way. In this graduation thesis, there will be presented a process improvement realized in a Vale do Paraíba company. For that, it was used the DMAIC to obtain, measure and control the process improvement. The Measurement System Analysis (MSA - Measurement System Analysis) is a statistical methodology developed to study and analyze the behavior of the measurement systems, and, therefore, allow the increased of the confidence readings performed by measuring instruments. It’s widely used in the automotive industry since the 90’s and is a mandatory requirement for the approval of the parts according to ISO Standard of the automotive sector. However, the aerospace industry doesn’t require this type of Study, once which the vast majority of aeronautics parts have characteristics (dimensions) with very tight tolerances, closed, ie, at the home of microns. This work aims to create lists of recommendations for definitions of measuring instruments in developing of control plans, which correlates tolerances fields of characteristics for different settings and acceptance of the instrument, classified as optimum, recommended and not recommended, through of the study of R&R (Repeatability and Reproducibility) in aeronautics parts. Every methodology of the experimental part was based on modern strategy of continuous improvement, the DMAIC (Define Measure Analyze Implant Control), in order to achieve better measurement method used in the control of milling aeronautics parts, identifying and reducing the variations of the measurement process. The results of the R&R Study in large part of measuring instrument manuals were considered acceptable and/or recommended, ie with values of %P/T and %RR lower than 30%, providing statistical data which have enabled the elaboration of tables of recommendations, which, from this work, have turned into very important documents and aid for Process Engineering, having in their hands a technical study able to identify which is the most appropriate instrument to get a more robust dimensional... In today's competitive environment the search for continuous improvement becomes an important factor for maintaining competitiveness. The present work aims to enable the reduction in the number of interruptions of production in a wire drawing mill, with the method of analysis and problem solving (MASP) and the use of quality tools. In this study, it was observed that the use of quality tools is indispensable when it comes to routine management or process improvement because it will enable the identification of improvement opportunities, as well as the definition of an action plan
