Técnicas de Bioengenharia Aplicadas ás Áreas de Preservação Permanente Urbanas – Presidente Prudente, São Paulo

There is a demand to incorporate the nature in the city in order to meet the wishes of the entire population. The valuation of water, a key component of the quality of the landscape, becomes a key element in this context both for its ecological potential because of their potential for recreational activities. The areas that suffer most impacts are the Permanent Preservation Areas (PPAs) and this paper will be a weighting on the urban interface - PPA. With the study area the basin of the stream of Limoeiro, in the context of the Friendship Fountain Balneary, especially the source contained between residential neighborhoods Maré Mansa and Parque Imperial, the city of Presidente Prudente and Álvares Machado, Sao Paulo, this paper aims to search and use of knowledge about technologies and techniques of environmental restoration, with emphasis on bioengineering, through an environmental characterization of the basin, with a view the incorporation of nature in the lives of the urban population. The methodology includes: literature review priority issues related to the PPAs, linear parks, relevant environmental legislation, environmental characterization of the watershed of the stream Limoeiro; study of technologies and techniques for environmental remediation of soil bioengineering and implementation of parks linear, development of proposals for the environmental recovery of PPA in the basin of the stream Limoeiro, focusing on emerging... A questão cultural no município de Álvares Machado: a importância de políticas públicas no processo de preservação urbano-ambiental

This work analyzes the importance of public policies in the process of urban-environmental preservation of the Alvares Machado city at state of Sao Paulo in Brazil, where priority was given to questions related to cultural heritage. Adopting the concept of territory as base to understand the complexities in the city, this work clarifies and contextualizes the historical heritage legislation through the Master Plan and the City Statute. The work also focuses on the contribution of the geographer toward studies related to urban-environmental planning.

Steam generation plants have several industrial applications, being important for the national and global energetic matrix. Operational knowledge of steam plants is extremely important to forming a Mechanical Engineer. The facilities from Faculty of Engineering of Guaratingueta have a no operated steam pilot plant, named Thermal Machine Lab. Nowadays, the Energy Department from the faculty cannot explore this lab for its classes, even being essential to consolidate the theoretical concepts with tests simulating industrial applications. The goal of this project was to restore the operational condition of equipment of steam laboratory by fixing the equipment, and creating operational scripts for them. In a close future this lab could be used for classes, research and other applications

Transformação da paisagem da área de preservação ambiental APA no Município de Botucatu-SP

The Environmental Protection Areas (EPA) are a type of sustainable use conservation unit, therefore its territory have public and private areas. To establish and reorganize the use of EPA’s territory, aiming the environment conservation along with human actions, it is necessary a management plan that should be conducted within five years from the date of its creation. The EPA Botucatu, established in 1983, does not have its management plan completed until the present day. The consequences of lack of organization about the use and occupation of its territory can be observed in a comparative study of territorial classification between the years 1985 and 2010, which was the objective of this study. As a result, it could be observed the decrease of the remaining fragments and intense fragmentation of them, pointing to the need for projects that aim the restoration, conservation and connectivity between these fragments and the subsequent application

Mil e Uma Noites do Sertão: As Políticas Públicas para Indutrialização, a Construção do Patrimônio Agroindustrial e os Desafiios das Políticas de Preservação do Patrimônio em São José do Rio Preto - SP

Este texto tem por objetivo apresentar as relações entre as políticas públicas para a industrialização, a construção do patrimônio agroindustrial e os desafios das políticas de preservação do patrimônio em São José do Rio Preto (SP). Nesse sentido, partimos da problematização histórico-teórico do tema, as políticas públicas para a industrialização no Brasil, e seus desdobramentos, e abordamos a construção do patrimônio agroindustrial em Rio Preto, temática vinculada à preservação do patrimônio ambiental urbano , conforme Castriota (2009, p. 87). Problematizamos especificamente as questões relativas aos intelectuais e a organização da cultura , especialmente os libaneses em Rio Preto. A questão dos Intelectuais e a Organização da Cultura , sob uma perspectiva gramsciana (Gramsci, 2001), foi abordada em diversos trabalhos ao longo de nossa trajetória acadêmica (Villela, 2003; 2005; 2008). No sentido de exemplificar tais questões, escolhemos um intelectual orgânico da construção do patrimônio agroindustrial de Rio Preto, Murchid Homsi (1895-1959). Ao analisarmos as práticas destes intelectuais orgânicos , emerge a necessidade de políticas de preservação da Memória do Lugar , no sentido apresentado por Hayden (1997), especialmente do patrimônio de Rio Preto.

Preservação do patrimônio escolar no Brasil: notas para um debate

This article comprises of a reflection on the challenges of the school heritage conservation in Brazil. First, it analyses the place for school heritage thin in a much more ample field of cultural heritage. Then, it points out problematic questions assumed in the debate on heritage in the education area and examines the consequent sense of the school converted in “place of memory”. The text defends the indispensability of the insertion of the school heritage in the public, political and specialized debate in the field of conservation as a condition for the development of education heritage in the country.
