Pseudogynes (=sécrétergates) et répartition des individus à l'intérieur d'une fourmilière de Formica lugubris Zett (Hymenoptera, Formicidae)

Following the discovery of numerous pseudogynes (= secretergates) in a polycalic colony ofFormica lugubris Zett, the author describes the qualitative and quantitative aspects of the distribution of individuals inside the nest. Workers are distributed in three clusters, the first (21 %) could consist of foragers, living in the upper part of the nest, and is distinguished by a low percentage of secretergates (1 %). The two others contain mainly domestic workers. Queens inhabit two areas (intermediate and deep). The percentage of secretergates increases with depth in the nest. Measurements of normal workers and secretergates show that the latter are significantly smaller.

Les principales caractéristiques biomécaniques de la prothèse inversée (cupule sur le versant huméral et sphère sur le versant scapulaire), cet implant semi-contraint, consistent en une médialisation ainsi qu'un abaissement du centre de rotation. Par ce biais, le bras de levier du deltoïde est augmenté. Les fibres musculaires du deltoïde antérieur et postérieur sont ainsi également recrutées pour devenir principalement abducteur. La congruence relative des composants (semi-contrainte) confère également à la prothèse inversée une certaine stabilité primaire, importante pour pallier la déficience de la coiffe des rotateurs (sus-épineux).

Probabilistic Assignments of Identical Indivisible Objects and Uniform Probabilistic Rules.

We consider a probabilistic approach to the problem of assigning k indivisible identical objects to a set of agents with single-peaked preferences. Using the ordinal extension of preferences, we characterize the class of uniform probabilistic rules by Pareto efficiency, strategy-proofness, and no-envy. We also show that in this characterization no-envy cannot be replaced by anonymity. When agents are strictly risk averse von-Neumann-Morgenstern utility maximizers, then we reduce the problem of assigning k identical objects to a problem of allocating the amount k of an infinitely divisible commodity.
