The present study aims to investigate the constructs of Technological Readiness Index (TRI) and the Expectancy Disconfirmation Theory (EDT) as determinants of satisfaction and continuance intention use in e-learning services. Is proposed a theoretical model that seeks to measure the phenomenon suited to the needs of public organizations that offer distance learning course with the use of virtual platforms for employees. The research was conducted from a quantitative analytical approach, via online survey in a sample of 343 employees of 2 public organizations in RN who have had e-learning experience. The strategy of data analysis used multivariate analysis techniques, including structural equation modeling (SEM), operationalized by AMOS© software. The results showed that quality, quality disconfirmation, value and value disconfirmation positively impact on satisfaction, as well as disconfirmation usability, innovativeness and optimism. Likewise, satisfaction proved to be decisive for the purpose of continuance intention use. In addition, technological readiness and performance are strongly related. Based on the structural model found by the study, public organizations can implement e-learning services for employees focusing on improving learning and improving skills practiced in the organizational environment

Soil use for the development of activities as agriculture and livestock has been causing great alterations in the environment, mainly when these are practiced intensively, disrespecting the fragility and aptitude of the natural resources. Therefore, it is essential that the planning of the agricultural activities is done, taking into consideration the several environmental criteria involved in the decision-making process. Thus, this study aimed to analyze the agricultural aptitude classes of lands from a watershed through geographical information system (GIS). The Arroio Ajuricaba watershed is located in the Municipality of Marechal Cândido Rondon - PR among the coordinates UTM 787309m E and 793892m E; 7275026m N and 7281310m N, in the Spindle 21, presenting an area of 1681ha. Soil maps, in semi detail scale, was the digital cartographic base used. The results allowed to conclude that 42.41% of the basin presented a good aptitude for farming in handling level of high technology (handling level C), regular aptitude for B, and restricted aptitude for A [class 1(a)bC] and that 12% of the area had regular aptitude for farming in the three handling levels (class 1abc). The watershed lands (14.24%) presented regular aptitude for farming in handling level C, restricted aptitude for B, and inapt for A [class of aptitude 2(b)c]; 15.85% presented good aptitude for planted pasture (class 4P) and 12.21% were considered without aptitude for agricultural use (class 6). We can say that 71.94% of the lands has aptitude for farming, although they present different degrees of limitations that request different treatments for its conservation.

Narrow spectrum antimicrobial activity has been designed to reduce the expression of two essential genes, one coding for the protein subunit of RNase P (C5 protein) and one for gyrase (gyrase A). In both cases, external guide sequences (EGS) have been designed to complex with either mRNA. Using the EGS technology, the level of microbial viability is reduced to less than 10% of the wild-type strain. The EGSs are additive when used together and depend on the number of nucleotides paired when attacking gyrase A mRNA. In the case of gyrase A, three nucleotides unpaired out of a 15-mer EGS still favor complete inhibition by the EGS but five unpaired nucleotides do not.

This paper examines 'availability' and the input metrics of operational expenditure (OPEX) for wave energy projects and reports on a case study which assesses the impact of these inputs on project profit returns. Case study simulations modelled a 75 MW wave energy project at two locations; the west coast of Ireland and the north coast of Portugal. Access and availability with respect to weather windows at both locations are discussed and their impact on energy output and wave farm operations is quantified. The input metrics used to calculate OPEX of wave energy projects are defined as well as the impact of OPEX on project net present value (NPV) and internal rate of return (IRR). Results indicate that access and resultant availability factors have a significant impact on case study results by reducing energy output and correspondingly financial returns. Furthermore, the technology maturity level designated for a project also impacts on availability factors and consequently energy output and NPV. Case study profits proved to be very sensitive to annual OPEX, especially if overhaul and replacement costs were accounted for. As a result of the impact of 'availability' on project profit returns. Feed-in tariffs will need to be tailored to the location in question as well as the device technology maturity level, with case study simulations indicating that high FIT will be required to support early stage WEC projects. Existing studies on global sourcing strategy have implicitly adopted a cJosed-systems perspective in which sourcing activities are managed within a multinational company across national boundaries. Produd and process innovations and components procurement that are jointly managed by a consortium of cooperating firms have not been examined. In this paper, we empiricallyexamine the issues concerning sourcing partnerships in an open-systems perspective. Findings suggest that even in a sourcing partnership arrangement with a foreign supplier, the principal firm's ability to procure and control the supply of major components has a positive bearing on its market performance.

New technologies in prostate cancer are attempting to change the current prostate cancer pathway by aiming to reduce harms while maintaining the benefits associated with screening, diagnosis, and treatment. In this article, we discuss the optimal evaluation that new technologies should undergo to provide level 1 evidence typically required to change the practice. With this in mind, we focus on feasible and pragmatic trials that could be delivered in a timely fashion by many centers while retaining primary outcomes that focus on clinically meaningful outcomes.

This paper argues the need for the information communication technology (ICT), labor exchange (job boards), and Human Capital ontology engineers (ontoEngineers) to jointly design and socialize an upper level meta-ontology for people readiness and career portability. These enticing ontology research topics have yielded "independent" results, but have yet to meet the more broader or "universal" requirement that emerging frameworks demand. This paper will focus on the need to universally develop an upper level ontology and provide the reader concepts and models that can be transformed into marketable solutions.
