O turismo de cruzeiro tem vindo a ganhar uma importância cada vez maior nas ilhas atlânticas das Canárias e da Madeira. Como consequência, as despesas dos passageiros dos cruzeiros contribuem cada vez mais para a economia local. O objetivo deste trabalho é investigar as determinantes da despesa do turista de cruzeiro, nomeadamente os efeitos das características sociodemográficas e das características relativas à viagem no montante e no padrão dessa despesa. Estimamos dois modelos de regressão, um modelo Logit e um modelo Tobit, para a despesa agregada e desagregada, utilizando os dados obtidos num questionário realizado nas ilhas da Madeira e das Canárias, no período de 2001 a 2005. Os resultados mostram a existência de diferentes perfis do turista de cruzeiro que estão associados a níveis diferentes de despesa. Verificamos que o perfil do turista que mais gasta é um passageiro do sexo feminino, trabalhador, com um curso superior e de nacionalidade não britânica. Níveis de escolaridade superiores estão associados a gastos maiores em quase todas as categorias da despesa. Além disso, o turista que deseja repetir a visita ao destino revela-se também como sendo mais gastador em qualquer categoria da despesa.

Nowadays the discussion about providing a quality education for all students is more and more recurrent, including for those who have special educational necessities. The discussion increases regarding that it is not enough to include these students in the regular school, but also to provide conditions of learning and development. This requirement implies changes in the educational system, as well as in the teachers‟ everyday; and these changes manifest themselves through the complexity of the functions which are assigned to the teachers and the school. The news that are generated from the perspective of the inclusive education asks for new formative models for teacher‟s performance, once he tries to (re)build knowledge, knowings and doings among troubles and conflicts as a way to decrease the impact caused by the necessary transformations. This research approached this context in order to understand the social representation about the inclusive education from teachers who work in the regular public school system in the Municipality of Cruzeiro do Sul, State of Acre. To approach the symbolic content, we elected the Multiple Classification Procedure (MCP) as the methodological approach. For that, it was necessary to apply the Technique of Free-Association of Words (TFAW) to 60 participants what provided data to the first step of the chosen methodological procedure. The criterion of choice of the participants took into account if they dealt with student who has special educational necessities and with public schools. Later, we applied MCP to 50 teachers from specialized course in inclusive education subgroup 01 and 30 teachers who has no specialized formation subgroup 02. The collected data from this step was examined through multidimensional and content analysis for a better understanding of their symbolic dimensions. The results from the multidimensional analysis showed that the subject inclusive education‟ for subgroup 01 involved the following facets: circulating discourses that meant the naming of the characteristics that teachers think indispensable to inclusive education; teachers in relation to the inclusive practice that was focused on the relation between teaching and included student, and repercussion to the student that showed the advantages that the inclusive education provided to the student who has special educational necessities. Subgroup 02 dealt with the following facets: characteristics of the included student that approached teachers‟ view on this student; negative aspects that regarded the naming of the obstacles in the achievement of inclusive education; and teacher‟s relations to the inclusive education that approach professional, affective, and formative elements. The content analysis revealed four categories: disagreeing concepts; conception of inclusive education; dimension of the teacher‟s inclusive doing, and difficulties and resistance to carry out the inclusion of a student who has special educational necessities in the regularschool. Both analyses multidimensional and content one showed that the constitution of elements in a social representation of inclusive education was a mixture formed by the characteristics of this sort of education and the school integration, materialized on the figure of the different‟ student. The representational field of the subject inclusive education‟ was associated to the social representation of the student who has special educational necessities, making clear the deficiency/ difference, and causing the difficulty of the teachers in achieving what they say about the phenomenon

Este artigo tem por objetivo identificar padrões na distribuição espacial dos casos de dengue ocorridos no município de Cruzeiro/SP, no ano de 2006. Trata-se de um estudo ecológico e exploratório que utiliza as ferramentas de análise espacial na elaboração de mapas temáticos, com dados obtidos do SinanNet. Foi feita uma análise por área, tomando-se como unidade o setor censitário do IBGE; a análise considerou quatro meses do ano de 2006 que mostra a ocorrência da doença no município. Os mapas temáticos foram construídos pelo programa computacional TerraView 3.3.1; assim como os valores dos índices de Moran Global (I M) mês a mês e o estimador de Kernel. Foram georreferenciados 691 casos de dengue (taxa de 864,2 casos/100.000 habitantes); os Índices de Moran e p-valores obtidos foram I M = 0,080 (março) p = 0,11; I M = 0,285 (abril) p = 0,01; I M = 0,201 (maio) p = 0,01 e I M = 0,002 (junho) p = 0,57. Os primeiros casos foram identificados na região nordeste e central e os últimos casos, na região norte, nordeste e central. Foi possível identificar os setores censitários onde a epidemia teve início e como ocorreu têmporo-espacialmente no município.

Neste estudo foi realizado o monitoramento das vibrações geradas por explosivos em uma lavra de calcário e argilito localizada no município de Limeira (SP), com o objetivo de desenvolver equação de atenuação das vibrações e verificação da existência de variação nos níveis de vibração gerados pelo desmonte em diferentes níveis litológicos e estratigráficos. Os registros da velocidade de vibração de partícula e sua freqüência foram obtidos utilizando sismógrafos de engenharia, concentrando-se em área localizada a 300 m a sudoeste do empreendimento mineiro, no Bairro Belinha Ometto. Os trabalhos foram realizados em duas etapas. Na primeira foi gerada uma equação de atenuação que foi utilizada pela empresa e reduziu os incômodos causados à população pelas operações de detonação. Os valores obtidos na etapa seguinte indicaram que o principal fator na dispersão das velocidades de partícula seria a variação, em relação aos nominais, dos tempos de retardo dos acessórios de detonação que foram utilizados durante os trabalhos. Nas condições encontradas, considera-se imprópria a elaboração de planos de fogo que contemplem intervalos de tempo nominais entre a detonação de minas ou grupo de minas menores que 25 ms quando da utilização de acessórios de iniciação da coluna de explosivos dotados de tempo de retardo superior a 200 ms.

Magazines such as O Cruzeiro are part of the Brazilian collection. In its pages, the female presence is constant. From the concepts of Greimas’ way of life and happening and routine from Zilberberg, we analyse a photoreport which highlights the actress Ilka Soares, comparing her to texts of the session “To the woman”. The analysis of such texts lets us verify the behaviour of a distinguished professional which is different from the traditional model of the housewife of the fifties. Reconstitute the ways of life of these women is to make up for the memory of the country

This article aims at the application of semiotic theory of French line to soap advertisements publicized in the magazine O Cruzeiro in the year 1949. Our objective is to reconstruct the women’s figure present in these texts and to establish its relation to the persuasion of the reader who is led to acquire not only the products, but mainly the values hidden in the announced objects. From the theory we use the generative course of meaning, focusing on the discourse level and assimilating the consumption axiologies proposed by each advertisement. Finally, we intend to assimilate the standard behavior of that society post-Second World War.

From the concepts of way of life by Greimas (1993) and of happening by Zilberberg (2008), we analyze texts taken from O Cruzeiro magazine, which highlights the singer Linda Batista, comparing her to others from the column “Female matters”, by Maria Teresa, love consultant of the women who read the publication. The analysis of such texts lets us verify the behaviour of a woman in distinction that identifies herself with a female profile of a professional who is configured in a style that can be recognized as a modern way of life, different from the model of a traditional way of a housewife in the forties.

Objective: to identify patterns in the spatial and temporal distribution of cases of dengue fever occurring in the city of Cruzeiro, state of Sao Paulo (SP).Methods: an ecological and exploratory study was undertaken using spatial analysis tools and data from dengue cases obtained on the SinanNet. The analysis was carried out by area, using the IBGE census sector as a unit. The months of March to June 2006 and 2011 were assessed, revealing progress of the disease. TerraView 3.3.1 was used to calculate the Global Moran's I, month to month, and the Kernel estimator.Results: in the year 2006, 691 cases of dengue fever (rate of 864.2 cases/100,000 inhabitants) were georeferenced; and the Moran's I and p-values were significant in the months of April and May (TM = 0.28; p = 0.01; I-M = 0.20; p = 0.01) with higher densities in the central, north, northeast and south regions. In the year 2011, 654 cases of dengue fever (rate of 886.8 cases/100,000 inhabitants) were georeferenced; and the Moran's I and p-values were significant in the months of April and May (I, = 0.28; p = 0.01; I-M = 0.16; p = 0.05) with densities in the same regions as 2006. The Global Moran's I is a global measure of spatial autocorrelation, which indicates the degree of spatial association in the set of information from the product in relation to the average. The I varies between -1 and +1 and can be attributed to a level of significance (p-value). The positive value points to a positive or direct spatial autocorrelation.Conclusion: we were able to identify patterns in the spatial and temporal distribution of dengue cases occurring in the city of Cruzeiro, SP, and locate the census sectors where the outbreak began and how it evolved.
