Synthesis, X-ray crystal structure and reactivity of the polymeric copper(II) dicarboxylic acid complex {Cu2(η1η1μ2-oda)2(py)4(H2O)2}n(odaH2 = octanedioic acid, PY = pyridine)

An aqueous solution of the α-ω-dicarboxylic acid octanedioic acid (odaH2) reacts with [Cu2(μ-O2CCH3)4(H2O)2] in the presence of an excess of pyridine (py) to give the crystalline copper(II) complex {Cu2(η1η1μ2-oda)2(py)4(H2O)2}n (1). structure of 1, as determined by X-ray crystallography, consists of polymeric chains in which bridging oda2− anions link two crystallographically identical copper atoms. The copper atoms are also ligated by two transoidal pyridine nitrogens and an oxygen atom from an apical water molecule, giving the metals an overall N2O3 square-pyramidal geometry. If the blue solid 1 is gently heated, or if it is left to stand in its mother liquor for prolonged periods, it loses one molecule of pyridine and half a molecule of water and the green complex {Cu (oda)(py)(H2O)0.5}n (2) is formed. Spectroscopic and magnetic data for both complexes are given, together with the electrochemical and thermogravimetric measurements for 1.

Binuclear and polymeric manganese(II) salicylate complexes: synthesis, crystal structure and catalytic activity of [Mn2(Hsal)4(H2O)4] and [{Mn2(sal)2(Hsal)(H2O)-(H3O)(py)4•2py}n](H2sal = salicylic acid, py = pyridine)

The two air-stable manganese(II) salicylate complexes [Mn2(Hsal)4(H2O)4]1 and polymeric [{Mn2(sal)2(Hsal)(H2O)(H3O)(py)4·2py}n]2(H2sal = salicylic acid and py = pyridine) have been synthesised easily, and their crystal structures determined. Both contain unsymmetrically bridging salicylate ligands. In the presence of added pyridine 1 and 2 vigorously catalyse the disproportionation of H2O2.

On the synthesis and structures of the complexes [RuCl(L)(dppb)(N-N)]PF(6) (L = CO, py or 4-NH(2)py; dppb=1,4-bis(diphenylphosphino)butane; N-N=2,2 `-bipyridine or 1,10-phenanthroline) and [(dppb)(CO)Cl(2)-Ru-pz-RuCl(2)(CO)(dppb)] (pz = pyrazine)

The ""Ru(P-P)"" unit (P-P = diphosphine) is recognized to be an important core in catalytic species for hydrogenation of unsaturated organic substrates. Thus, in this study we synthesized six new complexes containing this core, including the binuclear complex [(dppb)(CO)Cl(2)Ru-pz-RuCl(2)(CO)(dPPb)] (pz = pyrazine) which can be used as a precursor for the synthesis of cationic carbonyl species of general formula [RuCl(CO)(dppb)(N-N)]PF(6) (N-N = diimine). Complexes with the formula (RuCl(py)(dppb)(N-N)]PF(6) were synthesized by exhaustive electrolysis of these carbonyl compounds or from the precursors [RuCl(2)(dppb)(N-N)]. The new complexes were characterized by microanalysis, conductivity measurements, IR and (31)P{(1)H)} NMR spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry and X-ray crystallography. (C) 2010 Elsevier Ltd. Efeitos de Confinamento de Vórtice Magnético em Nanodiscos de Fe e Py

Spectroscopic and electrochemical characterization of polyaniline and a ruthenium complex, mer-[RuCl3(dppb)(py)], in the form of Langmuir-Blodgett films

Langmuir monolayers and Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films have been produced from polyaniline and a biphosphinic ruthenium complex, referred to as Rupy. Strong, repulsive interaction between the two components led to a nonlinear change in area per molecule and surface potential with the concentration of Rupy in the mixed film. Molecular interaction was also denoted in the spectroscopic and electrochemical properties of the Y-type LB transferred films. The Raman spectra of mixed PANI-Rupy films indicated that the degree of oxidation of PANI increased linearly with the concentration of Ropy. With PANI being increasingly oxidized by presence of Rupy, the electroactivity of the mixed films decreased with the amount of Rupy, to become undetectable when the mixed LB film is 501 mol in Rupy. The presence of Rupy caused the electrical properties of the mixed LB films to be less sensitive to environmental changes. The electrical capacitance of a mixed film changed only by 15% when the sample was taken from vacuum to air, whereas the change was 215% for a pure PANI LB film.

Partindo de considerações teóricas acerca do conceito de Etnogênese, a dissertação aborda o processo dos Xikrin de REfazer, REestruturar, REconfigurar e REelaborar suas relações políticas, sociais, culturais e econômicas em todas as áreas de sua vida, diante do encontro com o ―outro‖, desencadeando uma nova identidade individual e coletiva. Verifica-se, desde os tempos míticos aos dias atuais, que o processo histórico da relação Xikrin versus ―outro‖, pode ser percebido a partir dos traços existentes em seus corpos através da pintura e ornamentação, sendo a pintura corporal uma das ferramentas utilizadas como arma de resistência, no intuito de manter a existência de sua comunidade da melhor maneira possível, dentro de suas perspectivas de vida.
