The genesis of the research emerges from reflection about the space dynamics of the capital and to the capital. The expansion and the incorporation of territory for capital reveal, in part, strategies of the capitalism production way, which shows the search for accumulation conditions, expanding the alternatives of territory use that is, nowadays, selective and uneven. The present work verified the mechanisms where the capital imposes its practices through the agrarian structure and the valuation of land market, meaning, in our knowledge, that the reproduction of inequalities is showed, many times, by the wide land speculation and the fast land valuation. For this, the snip space will be the Sibaúma community, belonging to Tibau do Sul district, located in Rio Grande do Norte state. It‟s a rural area that has, gradually, changing through the advent of urban characteristics, given the association of public and private investments, both domestic and international. Through the empirical observations, inside the Sibaúma community, it was found expansion strategies, incorporation and appropriation of territory by capital. As a result of this practice, it‟s occurring the land valuation and the presence of a process of socio-spatial segregation, through the encouraging the opening of new subdivisions, mainly for construction of second homes and tourism enterprises in order to meet the demand of a higher socioeconomic level. The areas still available in Sibaúma, constitute into a reserve of value for the achievement of capitalist rent, being a mechanism of capital reproduction. In this way, to studying the socio-spatial transformations, caused by spatial valuation, we turn to the project of social space designed by Santos(2006), from the perspective of capitalist production of space, by understanding the historical process of formation, the mechanisms and the actions of social actors that produce and consume space

O presente relatório resulta do estágio curricular realizado no hotel Vila Galé Marés, localizado em Guarajuba, no estado brasileiro da Bahia. O estágio realizado no âmbito de um programa de estágio – Erasmus, decorreu entre setembro 2014 e junho de 2015, com uma duração de 9 meses, no total de 1620 horas, e insere-se no âmbito do Mestrado em Gestão e Direção Hoteleira da Escola Superior de Turismo e Tecnologia do Mar do Instituto Politécnico de Leiria. Apresenta-se sucintamente o grupo Vila Galé – Sociedade de Empreendimentos Turísticos S.A. e o hotel Vila Galé Marés e procede-se à descrição e análise crítica das atividades desenvolvidas durante o período de estágio e que abrangeram os vários departamentos do hotel: housekeeping; receção; animação; F&B; reservas; grupos e eventos; recursos humanos; economato e assistente operacional. Aborda-se ainda uma proposta de plano de ação que resulta do conhecimento e experiência adquiridos no decorrer do estágio e que pretende intervir para a mudança da situação atual de evidente desmotivação e alienação dos colaboradores. O plano assenta na criação de um sistema de incentivos e na planificação de uma ação de formação que visa sensibilizar e formar os supervisores dos setores do hotel, a fim de os auxiliar na coordenação das suas equipas.

The present study seeks to describe the features and peculiarities of the relationship between organizational culture and the quality of tourism services, specifically in the restaurant sector, attempting to contribute toward maintaining the tourism sector of the city of Natal/RN. Thus, a descriptive and correlational study, with qualitative and quantitative approaches, of thirty-seven restaurants that are located in areas that compose the tourism corridor of Natal was undertaken. To collect the quantitative dada, the Organizational Culture Evaluation instrument of Cameron and Quinn (2006) was applied and the SERVPERF instrument of Cronin and Taylor (1992) was used to measure the quality of the services. The results suggest that the Clan and Innovation Cultures are associated with better levels of quality of services than those of the Market and Hierarchy Cultures. The relationships that were identified in this study are consistent with results found in other studies and the information reported here can serve as a basis for managers of the restaurant sector to reach excellence in their services, satisfying their customers and contributing to maintaining the tourism sector

The present work aimed at investigating the small hotel managers perceptions from Natal/RN concerning the environmental practice uses as a competitive factor. This study is characterized as a descriptive exploratory research that used an aleatory probabilistic sample followed by the application of collect data instrument (questionnaire). The small hotels located in Natal/RN were the study participants and the specific location where 35 questionnaires were answered. Based on the data and on the mangers point of view, it is possible to comprehend that, among the presented indicators, the development of environmental programs in the hotel enterprise is showed as the least important for the client s choice. As the main conclusion it is relevant to argue that, according to the small hotel managers, the guests do not still search for hotels that implement environmental practices. On the other side, the interviewed managers believe that the use of these practices can generate a great competitive advantage in relation to their competitors. The information obtained by this present research will be able to contribute to establish a contemporary panorama in relation to the importance attributed by the managers concerning the use of environmental practices in small hotel enterprises in Natal/RN. In addition the correct use of this information can generate possibilities of major competitiveness in this segment

The common practice of reconciliation is based on definition of the mine call factor (MCF) and its application to resource or grade control estimates. The MCF expresses the difference, a ratio or percentage, between the predicted grade and the grade reported by the plant. Therefore, its application allows to correct future estimates. This practice is named reactive reconciliation. However the use of generic factors that are applied across differing time scales and material types often disguises the causes of the error responsible for the discrepancy. The root causes of any given variance can only be identified by analyzing the information behind any variance and, then, making changes to methodologies and processes. This practice is named prognostication, or proactive reconciliation, an iterative process resulting in constant recalibration of the inputs and the calculations. The prognostication allows personnel to adjust processes so that results align within acceptable tolerance ranges, and not only to correct model estimates. This study analyses the reconciliation practices performed at a gold mine in Brazil and suggests a new sampling protocol, based on prognostication concepts.

Edi????o, que ?? um guia consagrado em n??vel internacional que re??ne as melhores pr??ticas reconhecidas na ??rea de gerenciamento de projetos, com base em experi??ncias diversas de empresas de distintos ramos, p??blicas ou privadas. No desenvolvimento da pesquisa, apresentou-se uma perspectiva hist??rica das pol??ticas federais para os assentamentos prec??rios no Brasil e informa????es institucionais relacionadas ?? unidade, de forma a auxiliar na compreens??o de suas atribui????es e de seu funcionamento. Para o levantamento das pr??ticas de gest??o realizou-se entrevista direcionada aos monitores dos empreendimentos e aos gerentes do DUAP. O referencial te??rico forneceu base conceitual para realiza????o das an??lises relacionadas ??s informa????es institucionais do Departamento e aos dados obtidos por meio das entrevistas realizadas. A pesquisa possibilitou perceber que as pr??ticas de gest??o dos empreendimentos de Urbaniza????o do Departamento poderiam, em alguns aspectos, passar por um processo de revis??o e aprimoramento tendo como objetivo estabelecer procedimentos gerenciais espec??ficos que auxiliem no desenvolvimento da atividade de monitorar os empreendimentos de Urbaniza????o e, conseq??entemente, na execu????o das interven????es propostas por tais projetos

Atreladas a uma estética própria e “efeitos de verdade” (PELLEJERO, 2008), as videografias turísticas acabam por compor linguagens fartamente informativas sobre aquilo que se quer dizer sobre os lugares. Suas cenas são as apontadas para propagandear uma imagem a ser consumida, delas esperam-se o melhor ângulo a ser fotografado, experiências únicas e roteiros alternativos e naturais para se conhecer o lugar. Sendo assim, são as imagens turísticas, na atualidade, linguagens potentes para se entender as narrativas sobre os lugares, suas imaginações espaciais, bem como as construções de ficções sobre determinada realidade. Uma vez envolvidas as produções de ficções hegemônicas, os vídeos turísticos e as imaginações espaciais que temos deles podem promover modos cristalizados de se pensar o espaço; distanciando-se dos propósitos de entender o espaço a partir das suas conexões-desconexões e multiplicidade de trajetórias (MASSEY, 2008). Nesse contexto, essa pesquisa tem como objetivo principal discutir como os vídeos turísticos, em especial dois vídeos da atual campanha da Secretaria de Turismo do Espírito Santo, “Descubra o Espírito Santo”, apresentam uma imaginação espacial. Também seguem como interesse: refletir e analisar a política visual e a estética das videografias turísticas; entender e analisar a produção de uma ficção para construção e mobilização de uma imaginação espacial e estudar autores e produções videográficas que se dedicaram a pensar possibilidades outras de mobilizar e desterritorializar uma imaginação espacial e as estéticas videográficas.

The innovation contributes to business success and increased competitive advantage, one of the concepts that has deserved more attention among researchers in the field of management. Innovation is not exclusive of tangible products or services and can naturally extend to the process itself, the organization or marketing. Although it is not easy to gather a universal concept for innovation, do not seem to be no doubt that its importance is such that allows the company to build on the foundations of this future development, regardless of past success. This work has as its central purpose the study of process innovation in the supply outlook for tourism, given its importance in achieving business success. The recognition of its value assumes it as a challenge, making it necessary to distinguish with product, marketing and organizational innovation, either in substance or in the organizational competencies. Will be presented in this work, a brief description (as well as evolution of the concept) as a way of contextualizing and, then, clarified the distinction between the concepts process innovation and innovation process. Search will bring together the key distinguishing features from the perspective of tourism as a means of achieving competitive advantage for business. We will also discuss implications for management and future studies.

Tourism activities are among the most relevant drivers for economical growth and development in various economies. Every year, competition increases tourist destinations (Farhangmehr & Simões, 1999), making it an increasingly complex and geographically diverse range of activities (Pearce, 1991).Such relevance is reflected in the proliferation of studies in the overall area known as tourism, under various perspectives and backgrounds. Previous studies conducted in such contexts suggest that cross-border regions are an attractive and desirable idea, yet requiring further theoretical and empirical research (Studzieniecki & Mazurek, 2007). The new configuration of many cross-border regions calls for a debate on issues concerning its development, raising up important dimensions, such as, organization and planning of common tourism destinations. In particular, there is still a gap in the understanding of destination management in cross-border regions and the customer profile and motivations. Overall this research aims at attaining a deeper understanding of the profile and behavior of consumers in tourism settings, addressing the predisposition for the destination. To address our question we will take an interdisciplinary perspective bringing together inputs from areas, such as, marketing, tourism and local/regional economics. We developed a theoretical model entailing the following constructs: involvement, place attachment, destination satisfaction and loyalty. We then establish potential the relationships among these variables. We suggest that involvement has a positive and direct effect in the two dimensions of place attachment, as well as indirectly, through the construct of satisfaction. Additionally, satisfaction has a direct effect on destination loyalty. Implications for future research are presented.

Desta forma, o processo de criação assume-se como um dos fatores críticos no seu desenvolvimento, tanto a nível global como regional. O trabalho de reflexão aqui proposto reúne e sistematiza os principais aspetos inerentes ao processo de criação numa ótica de turismo, em específico no que concerne à gestão de destinos turísticos. Pretende-se também proporcionar uma melhor compreensão no que diz respeito à essência do empreendedorismo e do processo criativo, em termos de fundamentos teóricos e implicações práticas

Este estudo tem como objetivo principal explorar as perceções dos residentes sobre o turismo induzido pelos filmes e os impactos destes sobre o desenvolvimento de um destino. Especificamente, o estudo analisou a perceção dos residentes sobre os impactos sociais, económicos e ambientais na vila de Arcos de Valdevez, em resultado da gravação e exibição da telenovela da TVI “Deixa que Te Leve”. Os dados foram recolhidos através de um questionário on-line, onde foram solicitadas as perceções dos residentes deste município dos impactos na localidade induzido pela telenovela. A maioria dos residentes concordam que a gravação e exibição (na televisão) da telenovela foi importante para o município e contribuiu para o aumento do número de turistas. Para os residentes, os impactos positivos foram mais significativos do que os impactos negativos, pelo que eles apoiariam o investimento necessário para a gravação de uma outra telenovela no seu município. Atendendo a que gestores dos destinos e as autoridades ligadas ao desenvolvimento do turismo visam planear um desenvolvimento turístico ideal, ao mesmo tempo que procuram minimizar os impactos negativos deste desenvolvimento nas comunidades locais, monitorizar as opiniões dos residentes sobre os impactos percebidos é uma boa forma de incorporar a reação dos residentes no planeamento e desenvolvimento do turismo. Os resultados deste estudo podem fornecer informações úteis nesse sentido.

Este artigo examina, à luz das principais teorias da localização industrial, a problemática da localização de incubadoras tecnológicas e de empresas de alta tecnologia. Inicialmente, aborda pontos da Teoria Clássica da Localização e os principais avanços teóricos em relação às obras seminais, buscando identificar quais fatores são mais relevantes para impulsionar o surgimento e o desenvolvimento de empresas dos setores de tecnologia avançada. Em seguida, investiga a relação das incubadoras de empresas de base tecnológica no Brasil com o meio em que estão inseridas, tentando-se avaliar quais fatores locais são mais relevantes para impulsionar a criação e o desenvolvimento dessas iniciativas. Os dados apresentados resultam de pesquisa nacional, realizada com o universo disponível das incubadoras tecnológicas em operação no país, e refletem os pontos de vista dos gestores desses empreendimentos quanto aos aspectos locacionais dos negócios.
