Habitação e meio-ambiente : uma abordagem crítica para o projeto sustentável

Este trabalho trata das questões ambientais vinculadas ao projeto de empreendimentos habitacionais. Inicialmente, apresentam-se as bases conceituais, discutindo, especialmente, o significado de termos como : ecologia,meio ambiente e desenvolvimento sustentável, aplicados à arquitetura. Como forma de ilustração destes conceitos, analisa-se obras relevantes. Segue-se a caracterização das várias fases de um projeto desta natureza, destacando o planejamento, a construção, a ocupação e a desativação. Por fim, aplica-se estes conceitos através da análise de um conjunto habitacional, monstrando se o mesmo é sustentável ou não. Dessa forma, colabora--se na compreensão das interdependências ecológicas e verifica-se o desempenho desse conjunto habitacional referente à sustentabilidade.

Mobilidade urbana sustentável em projetos estruturantes: analise urbanística e ambiental do corredor de transporte da Avenida Bernardo Vieira Natal/RN

The search for a sustainable urban mobility, has recast the public policy of transport and movement for all, in order to contribute to the welfare economic, social and environmental. Within this context, has as its main objective review here in the city of Natal in the state of Rio Grande Norte, the deployment of the new road infrastructure of the transport corridor of Bernardo Vieira Avenue and checking at least with regard to urban areas and environmental chosen here, as will indicators to assess sustainable urban mobility, that the theory has been well constructed, but in practice little way to apply the proposed guidelines for sustainability. To achieve this result, is initially a literature review with the principal investigators of the matter, since the concepts of indicators of sustainable urban mobility. And a second time, participating in to the case study, using the methodology of environmental awareness, through analysis photographs, notes and testimony in the study area ace to reach conclusions

Comunidades tradicionais em áreas protegidas: convergências e lacunas da Política Urbana e Ambiental na Reserva de Desenvolvimento Sustentável Estadual Ponta do Tubarão/RN

This work presents a reflection on possibilities and boundaries of consolidation and expansion of human settlements characterized as traditional communities that are located within protected areas, using as study reference the State Sustainable Development Reserve Ponta do Tubarão, at Rio Grande do Norte state. The main topics highlight the conflict between the right to housing and the prevalence of fundamental rights of traditional populations, opposed to the diffuse right to environment, according to the regulatory framework of the Brazilian Urban and Environmental Policies. At the same time that these settlements, historically built, are substantiated by the principles of recognition of rights to traditional populations, they are in a condition of complexity to the resolution of conflicts in its urban dimension and lead to an impairment of natural sites. This work questions how the instruments of land use and occupation are defined and relate to environmental planning, especially considering that the settlements are located in Permanent Preservation Areas (APP). It aims to further the discussion of the urban dimension in settlements, characterizing its formation and growth process, to identify the gaps and convergences between the Urban and Environmental Policy, under the foundations of a socio-environmental approach. The results spotlights the conflicts between occupation and natural areas, inferring that the definition of Urban Policies instruments and its integration with Environmental Policies instruments account for essential and priority actions to the achievement to the rights to a sustainable city, as determined in the Cities Statute and environmental protection goals, defined for the Conservation Units

The ecology and sustainability have never been in question as they are today, this is because the planet has reached a situation in which problems related to consumption and waste production can not be ignored. Cities have become unhealthy and quality of life of urban man is increasingly impaired. As a form of escapism from the major centers, a significant number of people are looking for isolated communities and ecological order that there, in those isolated places, they are able to rescue the idea of community. The journalistic product The Village of the Mountain shows the daily life in an ecovillage and describes the challenges and ideologies of these people trying to build a more suitable place to live

Hotel de lazer sustentável: na cidade de Itatiba, SP

O projeto de pesquisa aqui apresentado é referente ao Trabalho Final de Graduação do curso de Arquitetura e Urbanismo da Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho a ser desenvolvido no ano de 2011, com o tema “Hotel de lazer sustentável”. A proposta de projeto do hotel será realizada na cidade de Itatiba, interior do estado de São Paulo, com a finalidade de atender a demanda turística não só da região como também das cidades vizinhas. Desta forma espera-se levantar dados sobre o tema hotel e sustentabilidade para se ter um maior embasamento na criação do programa do hotel e diretrizes para a realização de um projeto sustentável

Um mundo radicalmente melhor: criatividade, colaboração e padrão de redes como estratégias para o desenvolvimento sustentável

There are substantial evidences that the period experienced by humanity globally is unprecedented and is heading towards a major transformation that results from the Globalization. Totally conditioned to the addictions of the dominant and predatory capitalism, humanity has, for decades, exhausted natural resources, disregarded the nature of its own social existence and walked away from its humanity. It is notable, however, an impressive flow of factors that dialogue and support each other as trends that go towards sustainable development, based on the harmonious integration between Technology, Culture, Society, Environment and Economy. This emerging moment can be seen from the perspectives of the Creative Economy as economic paradigm centered on the subjectivity and the human capacity to undertake innovative services, products and solutions guided by social values. Within this fluid and dynamic global context, initiatives that legitimately intend to act sustainably are gaining space. This socioeconomic moment fosters and is fostered by new kinds of work and organization guided by the Collaboration and social structuring on Network Patterns. These new social models significantly transform the understanding and insights about the Communication flows. The HUB São Paulo, as creative and social organization that operates under the logic of Collaboration through a Network Structure, was the subject of a case study used to sustain the defense of this emerging scenario and also to perform an analysis on the new role of Communication, at perspectives of transformation of mental paradigms towards sustainability and establishment of meaningful connections

Proposta de metodologia de abordagem ao projeto de uma habitação sustentável - a qualidade do espaço interior

Face às prementes questões da falta de condições de habitabilidade na habitação, das transformações climáticas e da descaracterização do território que enfrentamos no século XXI, torna-se fundamental o contributo que a arquitetura e o design podem ter na resposta a estes desafios. Uma habitação sustentável, um conceito multidimensional que é baseado no resultado do seu desempenho aos níveis ambiental, social e económico, pode ser uma das resposta-chave para os problemas atuais. Este conceito está relacionado com: um ambiente interior saudável e confortável; a preservação da identidade cultural; a otimização do potencial do terreno e das condições climáticas; o baixo consumo de energia; a diminuição das emissões de CO2; e a redução dos custos do ciclo de vida. A presente dissertação reúne um conjunto de informações sobre práticas de planeamento e construção, que partem do utilizador e de uma análise geográfica, que inclui a caracterização da localização, do clima, do terreno, da incidência solar e da predominância de ventos, e terminam no estudo de materiais de construção (que podem provir de matérias-primas locais) e de infraestruturas. Este conjunto de premissas traduz-se numa metodologia de projeto, que pretende ser suficientemente flexível e simultaneamente prática, de modo a poder ser utilizada em diferentes circunstâncias nas quais o objetivo seja o desenvolvimento de uma habitação sustentável
