Ridge-shape phase distribution adjacent to 180 degrees domain wall in congruent LiNbO3 crystal

The digital holographic interferometry is used in the dynamic and static measurements of phase variation induced by domain inversion. For the first time, to the authors' knowledge, they observe the existence of ridge-shape phase distribution adjacent to 180 degrees domain wall in congruent LiNbO3 crystal. During the domain wall motion, the phase variations are not uniform but have obvious relaxations. In the static measurement, the ridge elevation can vary linearly with the uniform electric field. The reasonable assumptions are proposed to explain these effects. (c) 2006 American Institute of Physics.

利用15 4 Sm( 31P ,5nγ) 180 Ir反应产生并研究了双奇核180 Ir的高自旋态 .实验中进行了180 Ir核的在束γ测量 ,包括γ射线的激发函数测量、X γ和γ γ符合测量 ,首次建立了双奇核180 Ir由 5个转动带构成的能级纲图 .依据从实验数据中提取出的带内B(M1 ) /B(E2 )值与理论计算值的比较 ,以及相邻双奇核的带结构特征 ,给出了转动带的准粒子组态 .在推转壳模型的理论框架中 ,定性地讨论了转动带结构特征的组态依赖性

Combination of CH4 oxidative coupling reaction with C2H6 oxidative dehydrogenation by CO2 to C2H4

A new process has been suggested for converting natural gas to ethylene by combining oxidative coupling of methane with ethane dehydrogenation to provide an efficient method for the utilization of thermicity and CO2. From their thermodynamics, it is clear that the exothermicity from CH4 oxidative coupling reaction (DeltaH(800degreesC) = -174.3 kJ mol(-1)) can support C2H6 dehydrogenation by CO2 (DeltaH(800degreesC) = + 180.2 kJ mol(-1)). Meanwhile, the two reactions can be conducted under the same reaction conditions, such as the reaction temperature and reaction pressure as well as space velocity. In addition, the CO2 yielded from CH4 oxidative coupling reaction can be directly used for C2H6 dehydrogenation. Two kinds of catalyst are developed for this combined process with an achievement, from which C2H4 content in tail gas can reach attractively 16.4%, which can be used directly to produce ethylbenzene by the alkylation of benzene. Upper and lower bounds of 180 degrees unit element of a ridge waveguide: Calculations and measurements

The upper and lower bounds on the actual solution of any microwave structure is of general interest. The purpose of this letter is to compare some calculations using the mode-matching and finite-element methods, with some measurements on a 180 degrees ridge waveguide insert between standard WR62 rectangular waveguides. The work suggests that the MMM produces an upper bound, while the FEM places a lower bound on the measurement. (C) 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.

Ordered 180 degrees ferroelectric domains in epitaxial submicron structures

Large range ordered La(0.7)Sr(0.3)MnO(3) and SrRuO(3) epitaxial dots were fabricated by pulsed laser deposition using stencil masks and were embedded in ferroelectric PbTiO(3) epitaxial films. PbTiO(3) films grown on top of La(0.7)Sr(0.3)MnO(3) dots form arrays of 180 degrees domains that are switchable and have good ferroelectric properties. PbTiO(3) films made on top of SrRuO(3) dots have a monodomain polarization state. These observations point out the importance of the electronic properties of the bottom electrode in the selection of a preferential polarization state in epitaxial ferroelectric films and propose a route of fabricating large arrays of switchable 180 degrees ferroelectric domains.
