Este trabalho objetiva aprofundar uma reflexão sobre os aspectos socioeconômicos e ambientais das atividades de coleta, prensagem e reciclagem de metal, plástico e papelão na cidade de Imperatriz/MA, a partir de elementos ou a relação entre o homem e a natureza, apontando as questões ambientais oriundas, assim como a geração de resíduos que podem ser reaproveitados e reintroduzidos no ciclo produtivo, a partir de como estas atividades atingem três tipos de atores:coletadores,empresas que fornecem este material para a coleta e as empresas que se dedicam às atividades de prensagem e reciclagem desses materiais. trata-se de uma atividade importante, na medida em que se constitui como economicamente viável e ambientalmente responsável, visto que a um só tempo, gera emprego e renda para determinados segmentos da população local e contribui para diminuir as demandas por matéria prima extraída diretamente da natureza para produção de bens de consumo.

A concepção estrutural como expressão plástica: um olhar tectônico sobre arquitetura em madeira

This work regards to the structural conception as a formal element of design in wood architecture. On this approach, the group of projects studied is formed by some realized works of two important Brazilian architects: Severiano Porto and Marcos Acayaba. The time interval comprises the period from 1971 to 1997, which correspond respectively to the years of the creation of first and the last of the analyzed constructions. The research perspective concerns to the relationship between the parts, the whole and the building techniques adopted in each project. Moreover, the analysis focuses on the structure as the link among the different projectual ideas. Thus, the research method firstly includes a survey of specific bibliographies and documents which refer to the structural conception in wood architecture. Secondly,the buildings are analyzed according to the methods of architectural composition discussed through this work.

Beco da lama: formas e cores de uma plástica da vida

Our research goes a remarkable setting of Natal-RN. This is a place where we find art practices and artworks territorialities building the margin of museums, art galleries and institutional galleries. Its geography includes an area popularly known as Mud Alley. Along geography that we critically about how some processes of sociability, which formed the margins of institutional fields, can, and its progeny, compose new possibilities to relate to art and artistic practices. Thinking about the dialogues and clashes that positioning the margins can offer, we investigated the role of bookstores, bars and other spaces of the Alley in the promotion and dissemination of artistic practices, focusing on how these spaces handle the work, the artists and the patrons Beco da Lama. Our integration into the search field resulted in collecting testimonials, pictures and watching expressions which, together with sensations obtained during the years of integration in that setting, help make our empirical material. To follow us methodologically this investigation, we looked at a higher frequency, a theoretical support of authors: Gilles Deleuze, Félix Guattari and Giorgio Agamben. With them compose an investigative diagram to think about the art of Alley, noting the relationship of the Alley with the established field of art, as well as towards the rest of the city. The results point to the view of a singular event that shows artistic practices writing in the margins of institutional spaces, new territoriality for contact with art. The term territoriality points to situations formed by practices, feelings, wishes, expressions, and poetic subjectivity that can tell us we are confronted with an event comprising it as the moment of realization of potentialities, desires, subjectivities and spatialities training, flocks, movements. In our case, the event while the Mud Alley Alley Arts forced us to rethink the role and the place of art and artist in Natal-RN

Distribuição da energia no interior de uma estufa plástica no período inverno

This work aimed to study the energy distribution in protected environment during the winter of 2005. A plastic tunnel (27.5 m long, 7.5 m wide, 3.2 m high in the center and 2.00 m high in both lateral sides) was covered with polyethylene 100 micra and black shadow screen (sombrite) in lateral sides at the FCA/UNESP, Botucatu - SP. 142 minievaporimeters (500 ml volume and 147 cm2 area) were evenly distributed and set up at three heights: 0.40 m; 0.80 m and 1.20 m from soil surface in order to analyze energy distribution along the studied area. The greenhouse longitudinal axis was northwest/southeast, based on true north. Geosatistics principles and the GS+ Program were adopted to compare variables. From obtained results, it was concluded that there were significant evaporation variations at different points anf heights; the highest values were the ones closest to the soil surface (0.40m) in July and at highest heights (0.80 and 1.20m). Highest evaporations occurred in the southeastern side of the greenhouse.

Utilização do lodo de estação de tratamento de efluentes da indústria de injeção plástica como matéria-prima para indústria cerâmica

A indústria de injeção plástica é de fundamental importância para a economia nacional, pois é responsável pela produção de insumos primários para várias indústrias de eletroeletrônicos. Estas empresas geram efluentes procedentes das unidades de pintura por jateamento e aspersão. Este resíduo necessita de tratamento especial para sua separação, armazenagem e destino final. Este trabalho estuda uma forma alternativa de utilização deste resíduo na indústria de cerâmica vermelha, avaliando parâmetros que influenciam em propriedades importantes nos artefatos fabricados com argila vermelha como: densidade, porosidade e resistência à flexão, avaliados para misturas de 2%, 5% e 10% em peso de resíduo, em relação a argila utilizada, os resultados mostram que há influência deste material nas reações de estado sólido podendo haver melhora nas propriedades citadas.

Alterações em Variáveis Agrometeorológicas pelo Uso de Estufa Plástica

O presente trabalho teve como objetivo verificar o efeito da cobertura plástica de polietileno de baixa densidade (PEBD) sobre a temperatura do ar, umidade relativa do ar, déficit de saturação e tensão de vapor d'água no ar. Pelos resultados encontrados neste trabalho as médias mensais de temperatura do ar no interior da estufa plástica foram superiores em 7,5%, a umidade relativa do ar em 7%, o déficit de saturação em 34% e a tensão atual de vapor d'água no ar em 4,7%, em relação aos valores determinados à campo. Observou-se maior efeito da cobertura plástica sobre as temperaturas máximas, as quais levaram as médias mensais a ficar entre 3,8 a 7,8 oC acima dos valores médios determinados no campo. Os valores médios mensais mínimos de temperatura e umidade relativa do ar entre a estufa e o campo apresentaram menor amplitude de variação que os valores máximos.

Avaliação do comportamento reológico na retração plástica e na fissuração de argamassas de concreto auto-adensável

This paper investigated the influence of the amount of superplasticizer and mineral adding - silica fume and basaltic filer - in plastic shrinkage and cracking of self-compacting concrete (SCC) mortars. Initially analysis was performed of the rheological behavior of cement paste and mortars phases of the compositions of SCC. Then the deformations of mortars were measured by the effect of shrinkage and evaluation of cracking. On plastic shrinkage and cracking, the composition with silica fume showed superior results, independent of wind and superplasticizer content, relative to the composition with addition of basalt filler. However, the composition with silica fume showed superior results only in the tests with imposed ventilation at vertical plastic deformation. The rheological behavior affected directly the plastic shrinkage and cracking at early ages, fact confirmed by the analysis of capillary pressures of mortars tested.
