The porpoise of this study was to evaluate the effects of extracorporeal shock waves in third metacarpus bone from healthy horses by determination of bone elasticity. It were used 20 Thoroughbred horses, male and female, with two years old, on top of training and selected as the state healthy. At the beginning of the experiment (D0), all animals were submitted for evaluation of bone elasticity held in the third metacarpus bone. The animals were divided into two groups (Control Group - CG and Experimental Group - EG). The application of extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) was performed on the right forelimb of the animals in the experimental group in the same place evaluated for bone elasticity and was used apparatus for extracorporeal therapy of waves with 0.15 mJ/mm2 energy flux density and 2000 pulses with E6R20 probe, with focus feature of the shock wave of 20 mm. The ESWT were repeated every 21 days, a total of three sessions (D0, D21 and D42). The analysis of bone elasticity determination was realized at D21, D42 and D72. The average of speed ultrasound differed between groups at D21, D42 and D72, and the animals from EG had lower bone mineral density after applications of ESWT. There was also difference in the analysis of bone mass (Z-Score) between the groups at D21 and D42, which animals from EG showed a significant decrease in bone mass. The risk of fracture was higher in animals from experimental group at D21. It was concluded that ESWT is able to promote change in bone mineral density.

Endometriosis is a continuous and progressive disease with a poorly understood aetiology, pathophysiology and natural history. This study evaluated the histological differences between eutopic and ectopic endometria (abdominal wall endometriosis) and the expression of mast cell proteases (tryptase and chymase), annexin A1 (ANXA1) and formyl peptide receptor 1 (FPR1). Ectopic endometrium from 18 women with abdominal wall endometriosis and eutopic endometrium from 10 women without endometriosis were obtained. The endometrial samples were analysed by histopathology, immunohistochemistry and ultrastructural immunogold labeling to determine mast cell heterogeneity (tryptase and chymase positive cells) and the expression levels of ANXA1 and FPR1. Histopathological analysis of the endometriotic lesions showed a glandular pattern of mixed differentiation and an undifferentiated morphology with a significant influx of inflammatory cells and a change in mast cell heterogeneity, as evidenced by a significant increase in the number of chymase-positive cells and endogenous chymase expression. The undifferentiated glandular pattern of endometriotic lesions was positively associated with a marked increase and co-localization of ANXA1 and FPR1 in the epithelial cells. In conclusion, the co-upregulated expression of mast cell chymase and ANXA1–FPR1 system in ectopic endometrium suggests their involvement in the development of endometriotic lesions.

This paper will discuss the wedding in the historical conditions of feudalism, and mainly, summarize partially the book Heloise and Isolde and other ladies of the twelfth century, in which the author provided an historical condition significant, exploring of an original manner the documents known. Then we will see as important medievalists have studied the issues addressed by Duby as kinship, sexuality, male and female, and that were the object of our work, serving as a counterpoint to them.

O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar a resposta inflamatória induzida por grande número de ações excêntricas (AE) máximas realizadas pelos flexores do cotovelo. Participaram do estudo nove homens jovens, que realizaram 35 séries de seis AE nos flexores de cotovelo, com intervalo de um minuto, utilizando um dinamômetro isocinético em uma velocidade de 210º.s-1. As variáveis mensuradas foram: a contração isométrica voluntaria máxima (CIVM), a amplitude de movimento (AM), a dor muscular de inicio tardio (DMIT), a interleucina-6 (IL-6) e o fator de necrose tumoral alfa (TNF-α). Alterações significantes foram observadas para os marcadores indiretos de dano muscular (CIVM, AM e DMIT), entretanto não houve modificações para os marcadores inflamatórios (IL-6 e TNF-α). Em conclusão, os resultados demonstraram que mesmo com alterações nos marcadores indiretos de dano muscular após a realização de um grande número de AE não foram observadas alterações na resposta inflamatória sistêmica.

La tesi descrive e analizza la geografia delle moschee in Italia, un tema di grande attualità, in particolare per quanto riguardo il quadro degli studi geografici. La tesi ripercorre quello che è stato il processo di insediamento delle moschee in Italia, attraverso lo studio di casi esemplari, e analizza l’impatto che tale presenza ha esercitato sul territorio italiano, ed in particolare nel contesto urbano di Milano. Questo lavoro, infatti, permette di osservare il “processo di visibilizzazione” che una religione, assente fino a pochi decenni fa dal paesaggio italiano, imprime sul territorio, attraverso i luoghi di culto, le moschee. Il cuore di questo lavoro riflette sulla dimensione della “costruzione dello spazio” evidenziata dalla realizzazione di moschee. Infatti, i frequenti conflitti che accompagnano la proposta o la realizzazione di moschee dimostrano che non tutti hanno ugualmente “diritto alla città”, a un “posto” nello spazio. Le moschee non rappresentano solamente il simbolo della presenza di musulmani nello spazio europeo. Attraverso di esse è possibile leggere la posizione dei musulmani nella società italiana. Le sale di preghiera sorte inizialmente nelle città italiane, e in questo caso a Milano, in luoghi residuali e precari (cantine, garage, etc.) rappresentano una prima fase dell’insediamento dei musulmani nello spazio urbano. Un insediamento poco visibile e poco organizzato visto dalle istituzioni e dalla società senza grandi reazioni negative. I conflitti si innescano invece nel passaggio al tempo del riconoscimento, dell’istituzionalizzazione, in cui una presenza che si pensava temporanea o accidentale si fa stabile, organizzata, visibile e centrale. La realizzazione di moschee rappresenterebbe il passaggio da un’epoca di insediamento spontaneo di una minoranza religiosa arrivata recentemente al momento dell’istituzionalizzazione, dell’attribuzione di un “posto” riconosciuto e legittimo. Dunque, il passaggio dal tempo dell’ospitalità al “tempo del diritto alla città” e del riconoscimento.

How did Islam survive in the Soviet Union, and how did it develop since 1991? In four case studies and four longitudinal surveys, senior specialists from the area and two German junior scholars discuss the transformations of Islam in Tatarstan, Azerbaijan, Daghestan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. Several chapters analyze the Bolsheviks’ attack on Islam since the 1920s. Altay Göyüşov and Il’nur Minnullin demonstrate how the Soviets first attempted to draw some groups of Muslim scholars and intellectuals to their side, in Azerbaijan and Tatarstan, respectively. In the early 1930s collectivization and outright state terror made a complete end to the Islamic infrastructure, including mosques and pious foundations, Muslim village courts (as shown by Vladimir Bobrovnikov for Dagestan), Islamic educational institutions (as documented by Aširbek Muminov for Uzbekistan), as well as the Muslim press (analyzed by Dilyara Usmanova for Tatarstan); also Sufi brotherhoods became a main target of violent repression (Šamil‘ Šixaliev, for Dagestan). Repression was followed by the establishment of a modus vivendi between state and religion in the post-war period (Muminov, Bobrovnikov, Šixaliev), and by the instrumentalization of religion for patriotic purposes in the post-Soviet Caucasus and Central Asia (Christine Hunner-Kreisel, Manja Stephan, both based on fieldwork). By the early 2000s Islam was almost everywhere back under full state control; the leading role of the state for defining „good“ and „bad“ Islam is largely taken for granted. While similar forms of state pressure in all regions thus allow us to draw an overall picture of how Islamic traditions were repressed and reanimated, the „archival revolution“ of the early 1990s provides fascinating insights into the specific developments in the individual regions, and into the adaptation strategies of the Muslim scholars and intellectuals on the spot. Still, the Soviet heritage is still very palpable; also the attempts to leapfrog the Soviet period and to link up again with the individual local Islamic traditions from before 1917, and even the negation of the Soviet experience in the form of embracing Islamic trends from abroad, are often still couched in largely Soviet mental frameworks.

La comedia del Barroco español tiene como rasgo característico una dialéctica que va del ciclo de Lope de Vega, reconocible por su costumbrismo y lances de capa y espada, al ciclo de Calderón de la Barca, con su típico costumbrismo de hidalgos y caballeros. Tal es el marco, en sus trazos más gruesos, en el que Rojas Zorrilla, en su intento por hacerse un lugar en el teatro español, consigue una reconocible diferenciación a partir de sus comedias de figurón, en las que, además de definir un género y personaje arquetípico, expone una lograda parodia de las ya por entonces previsibles tramas y desenlaces de las comedias de capa y espada, así como del canónico amor, honor y poder calderoniano. Sirviéndole, también, para eludir las trampas del acendrado costumbrismo de su época, le permiten -poética mediante- mostrar vívidamente el cínico sensualismo urbano que, sin distinción de género, iguala a damas, caballeros y plebeyos. Rojas exhibe su obra ante una audiencia calificada ?la corte? a la que su sensibilidad estética y sentido de la realidad le permiten apreciarla y autorreconocerse. Para sostener sus enredos, parodias y bufonadas, nuestro autor despliega con arte y conocimiento una variada gama de procedimientos metateatrales. El trabajo se basa en el análisis de las comedias: Donde hay agravios no hay celos; Obligados y ofendidos; Lo que son mujeres; Entre bobos anda el juego; y Abre el ojo, seleccionadas en razón de su género y contenido metateatral.
