Os herbicidas a base de glifosato, como a formulação comercial Roundup®, tem sido amplamente utilizado para o controle de ervas daninhas na agricultura brasileira. O uso desses herbicidas podem resultar no rompimento do equilíbrio ecológico, podendo causar danos a organismos não- alvo, como os peixes. Para testar se o glifosato altera comportamento de peixes, utilizamos o Geophagus brasiliensis, nativo de várias regiões do Brasil, espécie territorialista e que se utiliza de confrontos agonísticos para estabelecer hierarquia de dominância. Neste estudo, encontramos o valor da concentração letal capaz de promover a morte de 50% da população em 96 horas (CL₅₀,₉₆h= 1,8 mgL⁻1). No entanto, nos testes de interações agonísticas foi utilizado uma dosagem subletal de 0,72 mgL⁻1, afim de avaliar possíveis alterações na agressividade de Geophagus brasiliensis. Testamos o efeito de glifosato em um grupo experimental, e um grupo controle com peixes que não foram expostos ao herbicida glifosato. Um etograma foi elaborado para quantificar as interações agonísticas. Ao comparar os dois tratamentos, foi possível observar um aumento no número de interações agonísticas no grupo exposto ao glifosato em relação ao grupo controle. No pareamento entre peixes tratados versus peixes não tratados, a média de interações foi maior para o peixe não tratado (controle) e a latência para os confrontos desse grupo foi menor, indicando que a exposição ao herbicida Roundup®promove, possivelmente, alterações físicas e/ou químicas nos animais e esses sinalizam de alguma forma para o seu oponente

There are several sources of stress in an individual. The sport, whether practiced as leisure or business, is one of these sources. From this, this review has been made based on the generated stress on everyone involved in a football match. First, presenting what is stress itself, showing that it can be both positive and negative in different individuals, and then what sources of stress specific to that mode, passing from the physical and tactical training, to competition itself , giving special emphasis to the errors caused by refereeing mistakes and they cause in athletes, coaches and team officials

Currently zoos and management centers are valuable tools in the maintenance and study of various species. Studies of behavior of captive animals contribute to the improvement of management techniques and the well - being of themselves, encouraging captive breeding and reintroduction also to the natural environment . One of the ways to increase the levels of well-being is the use of environmental enrichment techniques that provide necessary incentives for the welfare of both physical and psychological captive animal . The aim of this study was to identify the types, frequencies and intensities of behavior displayed by three individuals of the species Galictis cuja, belonging to the family Mustelidae and popularly known as lesser grisson , which are captives in municipal zoo in Piracicaba , SP . In addition to evaluating the influence of environmental enrichment techniques on these behavioral parameters. The animals had their behaviors recorded in ethograms through the focal sampling method , 40 hours per person , totaling 120 hours of observation . Were introduced four environmental enrichment techniques related to physical environment, nutrition , perception and cognitive stimulation . At the end, the results of observations before and after the introduction of enrichment techniques were compared and it was possible to observe significant changes in behavior such as run , walk and scratching . The animals were more active and spent longer visible during the day, the enrichment also increased the frequency of social behaviors and the end of the work occurred even attempted copulation , thus showing that the enrichment exerted a positive influence on the behavioral patterns of lesser grisson (Galictis cuja)

Six species of the genus Callithrix can be found across the Atlantic Forest extension, being the Callithrix geoffroyi, Geoffroy`s marmoset, the least studied species. The objective of this study is to investigate the behavioral aspects of the species in captivity, and how the environmental enrichment techniques influence those behaviors. To this end, we have studied three specimens of C. geoffroyi, in captivity at Municipal Zoo of Piracicaba, São Paulo. The enclosure includes a 37m2 with under masonry, concrete platforms with external deep, trunks, a floor of grass and soil, e grid in their other three sides. The sampling method was focal per time interval, with records every 30 seconds in sessions of 30 minutes, totaling 30 hours for each animal, which were distributed in a baseline phase, an environmental enrichment phase and post-enrichment phase (n = 3660 records in each phase). The twelve enrichment techniques were applied: the physical environment (branches for perches and hoses fabrics for bedding and vanishing points), cognitive (radio, mirror, puzzle food) and food (insects, flowers and eggs hidden, wrapped). Initially, to determine the period of greatest activity of marmosets, we investigated the pattern of activity for three days (9:00 am to 17:00 pm) consecutively at intervals of 15 minutes, recording the number of active and inactive individuals. The 495 records signaled greater activity in the morning, then selected period for the completion of this work. The ethogram comprised 16 behaviors. The inactivity was the predominant phase behavior baseline and post-enrichment with a significant decrease (h=8,62, p <0.01) in the enrichment phase, and a significant increase in the post enrichment (h=18,15, p <0.001). O contexto esportivo é repleto de muitas manifestações psicológicas. Para se ter sucesso é necessário que ocorra uma grande preparação destes atletas, que devem estar preparados fisicamente, tecnicamente e taticamente para responder às necessidades do esporte, buscando sempre a vitória e a melhor performance nas competições desportivas. A Psicologia do Esporte vem desenvolvendo programas de treinamento psicológico envolvendo técnicos, treinadores e atletas na busca de melhor desempenho nas competições. Hoje em dia o voleibol é um dos esportes mais praticados e assistidos no mundo inteiro, sendo no Brasil o segundo esporte mais praticado. O estado emocional se altera tanto em um período pré-competitivo, onde a incerteza de futuros acontecimentos provoca uma ansiedade, tensão e certo desconforto, quanto no momento da competição e também no período póscompetitivo. O sentimento de vergonha também é manifestado em muitas ocasiões. Várias são as definições encontradas para essa emoção: sentimento penoso de desonra; humilhação; rebaixamento; sentimento de insegurança provocado pelo medo do ridículo; embaraço; indignidade; timidez; acanhamento; sentimento de desconforto, entre outras. . A pesquisa buscou analisar teórica e praticamente as alterações emocionais de atletas em suas funções esportivas. Foi realizada com uma equipe de voleibol feminino, onde se aplicou um questionário fechado, a 21 atletas, com idades entre 13 e 16 anos. Verificou-se com que freqüência as manifestações dos sentimentos de vergonha e ansiedade ocorriam e possivelmente prejudicavam o desempenho das atletas. Após análise dos resultados pode-se concluir que as manifestações de ansiedade foram mais evidenciadas se comparadas as de vergonha. Beside aging process comes the incidence of dementia and, among them Alzheimer's disease (AD) accounts for approximately 60% of cases. This disease is characterized as a neuropathology with unknown etiology that causes cognitive deficits and behavioral disorders. Caring for patients with AD can cause an overload, both physical and psychological, which can cause high levels of stress on the primary caregiver. It is necessary that the caregiver also receives attention and develop activities that promote health benefits, while providing moments of distraction from the task of caring. Nonpharmacological interventions may be favorable for improving health with consequent decreased on the levels of stress. The objective of this study was to conduct a systematic review of scientific papers that aimed to verify the effect of nonpharmacological interventions on stress levels in caregivers of patients with AD. To contamplate this goal was accomplished a systematic search in the following databases: Biological Abstracts, PsycINFO, PubMed/Medline, Web of Science, LILACS and SciELO. The following keywords and Boolean operators was used: “caregivers” OR “family” and “nonpharmacological interventions” OR “support groups” OR “therapies” AND “Alzheimer's disease” OR “Alzheimer's dementia” OR “Alzheimer” OR “elderly” AND “stress”. There were found 3studies that met inclusion criteria adopted for the present work, and none showed significant results for the variable stress. It is not possible to affirm, according to the studies, that nonpharmacologial interventions programs for caregivers of patients with AD are effective to influence and to control the stress. O tratamento dos Linfomas de Hodgkin e Não - Hodgkin é baseado, atualmente, na combinação de drogas antineoplásicas, associadas ou não à radioterapia. Embora as taxas de cura sejam elevadas, sabe-se que tais terapias podem induzir mutações gênicas e cromossômicas que, mais tarde, podem ser responsáveis pela iniciação de novos processos carcinogênicos ou de doenças degenerativas relacionadas a danos genéticos. Sendo assim, o presente estudo teve por objetivo avaliar o efeito toxicogenético tardio (sobre os níveis de danos no DNA) das terapias antineoplásicas para linfomas. Para isso, foram incluídos no estudo 10 pacientes recém diagnosticados com linfoma (Grupo 1- Pré-terapia), 10 pacientes com história de linfoma e que finalizaram o tratamento antineoplásico há no mínimo dois anos (Grupo 2- Pós-terapia) e 10 indivíduos saudáveis (Grupo 3- Controles). Os linfócitos de sangue periférico foram utilizados para se avaliar os níveis de danos no DNA pelo teste do cometa. Além disso, foi avaliada a eficiência do sistema de reparo do DNA frente às lesões induzidas in vitro pelo peróxido de hidrogênio (H2O2). Os dados mostraram que não houve diferença estatisticamente significativa nos níveis de danos no DNA entre os três grupos. No entanto, foram observadas diferenças estatisticamente significativas no reparo das lesões induzidas pelo (H2O2), com o grupo controle apresentado maior indução de danos em comparação com aos demais grupos (p <0,05). Concluindo, os resultados não evidenciaram efeitos toxicogenéticos tardios decorrentes da exposição às terapias antineoplásicas para linfomas

This report comes from psychological appointments to families of teenagers within the socio-educational approach of Assisted Freedom. The interventions were carried out to give teenagers the pertaining feeling to a family back and to manage conflict situations. The method included interviews and home appointments with the whole family, appointments in family groups within the institution and also with an available psychological attendance for urgent and emergent matters. In the mediator psychologist view, getting along with the family decreased teenagers feelings of abandonment and also their negative actions. Study results demonstrated the relevance of the proposal to improve the quality of the relationship between adolescents with their family, school and society in which they belong.

Understanding and assessing the extent of psychological mechanisms that operate in actions of specific violence acts such as bullying can contribute to the discussion of educational interventions that promote moral education as desired by educational institutions. The current research aimed toD correlateD this form of violence called bullying to representations of the self and even to the ways in which the subjects self-regulate themselves in hypothetical situations which pose the problem, thus identifying their moral commitments or non-commitments. The procedures followed to check the presence of these correlationsDindicate that subjects whose self-representations are individualistic are less morally committed and more likely to be perpetrators in bullying situations. This shows that more than a social problem, the issues of coexistence should be treated from a moral perspective.

Notes on the psychological practices developed in social work entities that serve poor children and adolescents We understand that psychology, along with Pedagogy is part of the assumptions that compose the multidisciplinary field that comprises the socioeducative action of social work entities that serve poor children and adolescents considered in “personal and social risk”. What kinds of Psychology practices could be found in these institutions? We find evidence that the age minority logic still in force in many social work entities - that implement predominantly disciplinary and repressive, correctional and shaping forms of care, - dispense with psychology as a social transformation practice. When we find professional psychologists in social work entities, it is not uncommon for them to develop extremely traditional, psychotherapeutic, patologization actions for the individual, and to promote actions of orthopedic behavior, and therefore they may be called "technicians of conduct." This psychology is not aligned with the citizen and empowering perspective proposed by the Statute of Children and Adolescent, based on the fundamental concept of the social subject of rights.
