The significance of the manifestations found in the Revista (Port. For Journal), official cultural publication issued in 1833 by the Philomatic Society of the São Paulo school of Law, is obtained through the reading of the national feeling it expresses. The theoretico-literary and social positions, and others, may be backward or progressive, but all of them are placed under exclusively pragmatic screening: that of denunciation and/or correction of deficiencies existing in the country, or yet, the exhaltation of our conquests, moderate as they might be. It is the deep national feeling, therefore, which justifies the existence of the Revista.

Inclusive education is seen as quality education that should be provided by the educational system for all children, young people and adults. In order to put such a proposal into effect, qualified personnel are needed who are equipped to face such a challenge. This paper aims to examine the curriculum matrices of Pedagogy courses of the Universidade Estadual Paulista - UNESP that intend to prepare future teachers to follow an inclusive perspective. To this end, the political-pedagogical projects of six Pedagogy courses, the University resolutions that regulate the courses and excerpts taken from interviews carried out with course coordinators were analyzed. In order to analyze the curriculum matrices, the required subjects were distributed on a table according to the following categories: 1) specific subjects related to inclusive education, 2) number of hours of each subject related to inclusive education, 3) specific subjects related to special education and 4) amount of time scheduled for each subject related to special education. Among the six Pedagogy courses, five had subjects that focused on issues related to inclusive education, with varying time allotments, and four had subjects focusing on specific issues related to special education.

Research in medical education is the critical and systematic study of teaching and learning in medicine. It's a developing field with an increasing number of researchers and publications. In Brazil, the Brazilian Journal of Medical Education (RBEM) is the main journal in the area. The present study describes Brazilian scientific production in medical education by analyzing papers published by the RBEM from 2006 to 2010. In this period, the number of articles increased by 117.6%, averaging 60.4 articles per year. There was also an increase in the proportion of new research studies. The Southeast region and public institutions account for the greatest share of the articles. The most frequent keywords were medical education, medical students and curriculum. New records of the Rufous-faced Crake, Laterallus xenopterus (Gruiformes: Rallidae) in Brazil and observations about its habitat. The Rufous-faced Crake, Laterallus xenopterus, is a bird that is rarely spotted at Paraguay, central Brazil, and central Bolivia. There are known species records at the Brazilian states of Distrito Federal, Sao Paulo, and Minas Gerais. Here, we provide information about new areas of occurrence for this species in Brazil and detailed observations of its habitats. In October 2012, two individuals were registered in the municipality of Cristalina, state of Goias. In December 2012, the species was found in a new locality of Distrito Federal and at the municipality of Patrocinio, Minas Gerais. In February 2013, a new record for this species was obtained in the municipality of Itiquira, Mato Grosso. In all occasions, the bird was spotted in humid environments, which were characterized by the presence of grass and a thin water layer.

The aim of this research is to make a bibliometric analysis of the journal Scire: Representación y Organización del Conocimiento, edited in Spain, in order to evidence the most productive institutions and countries, as well as to build a cooperation network and calculate the density indicators, centrality degree and betweenness. The 292 articles of the period 1996 to 2010 were analyzed. It was found out that, of the institutions participating in the articles, 25 institutions have been clearly the most productive. Almost all of them are Spanish, except four Brazilian ones and three more from three different countries. The institutional network showed a low density, but several cooperative sub-networks were identified, which suggest the existence of an international dialogue among researchers on the discipline.

In special education, high skills designate people who demonstrate the capability, potential or performance in human activities, well above average. Our objective, using neuroscience to understand the early, prodigies, geniuses and high abilities as a result of a unique process of memory formation. It is a literature search, in which the works were identified, located, compiled, analyzed and blacklisted. The material was located from keywords in databases. For the compilation were used as inclusion criteria, adopted the intersection of the keywords as well as the work of researchers from education, psychology and neuroscience, published between 1966 and 2009; qualitatively analyzed 40 references, 18 articles and 22 other texts. The trajectory analysis was developed with the question: no need to explain differently the precocious prodigies, geniuses, and AH? We reached three logical propositions. We demonstrate through this exercise of course, that there would be no need to explain differently the precocious prodigies, geniuses, and AH, but conclude that there is need for such differentiation, even within the field of neuroscience, however, the statement above points to Renzulli’s theory as valid for geniuses and AH, with exceptions for early and wonders that deserve a closer look.
