Aquest dossier es titula "Jeanne Hersch" i, això no obstant, començaré referint-me a un diccionari i a Hannah Arendt (1906-1975). Prego un temps de benevolència per al següent desplegament de dades que, en aparença, no vénen a tomb. L'any 1979 es publicava a Madrid la sisena edició d'una obra monumental, el Diccionario de Filosofía de José Ferrater Mora (1912-1991). Aquesta edició fou reimpresa, si més no, set cops en vida del seu autor. La setena reimpressió és de 1990,1 i és la que em serveix per a allò que vull comentar aquí.

[spa]Desde la década de 1970 el feminismo ha significado una de las profundizaciones críticas m.s productivas del legado del pensamiento político de la modernidad. El presente artículo atiende al cuestionamiento de las modernas nociones de libertad y comunidad políticas que Linda Zerilli ha llevado a cabo en su lectura de Hannah Arendt y de Ludwig Wittgenstein. A partir de ah. y de la reciente querella en torno al diformismo sexual, se muestra la necesidad de repensar la relación entre teoría y praxis más allá de la concepción moderna, presente en buena parte de la teoría feminista contemporánea. [eng]Since the 1970s feminism has signified one of the most productive critical reconsiderations of modern political thought legacy. This article examines the questioning ofmodern notions of political freedom and political community that Linda Zerilli has undertaken in her reading of Hannah Arendt and Ludwig Wittgenstein. On this basis and on criticism of sexual dimorphism, the article shows the need to rethink the relationship between theory and praxis beyond itsmodern conception, a feature present in much of contemporary feminist theory.

Ultrafiltration (UF) is already used in pulp and paper industry and its demand is growing because of the required reduction of raw water intake and the separation of useful compounds from process waters. In the pulp and paper industry membranes might be exposed to extreme conditions and, therefore, it is important that the membrane can withstand them. In this study, extractives, hemicelluloses and lignin type compounds were separated from wood hydrolysate in order to be able to utilise the hemicelluloses in the production of biofuel. The performance of different polymeric membranes at different temperatures was studied. Samples were analysed for total organic compounds (TOC), lignin compounds (UV absorption at 280 nm) and sugar. Turbidity, conductivity and pH were also measured. The degree of fouling of the membranes was monitored by measuring the pure water flux before and comparing it with the pure water flux after the filtration of hydrolysate. According to the results, the retention of turbidity was observed to be higher at lower temperature compared to when the filtrations were operated at high temperature (70 °C). Permeate flux increased with elevated process temperature. There was no detrimental effect of temperature on most of the membranes used. Microdyn-Nadir regenerated cellulose membranes (RC) and GE-Osmonics thin film membranes seemed to be applicable in the chosen process conditions. The Polyethersulphone (NF-PES-10 and UH004P) and polysulphone (MPS-36) membranes used were highly fouled, but they showed high retentions for different compounds.

Visual art practice has generally been described as a lonely affair, thinking about what an artist has experienced in the outside world. This study is an inquiry into a visual art practice of another kind: the relational one. The research purpose is twofold. The first purpose is to shed light on a visual artist’s conceptions of art, education and scholarship. The second purpose is to by reasoning on imagination and a rhizomatic formation interpret the relations created between art, multimodality and literacy learning as an aesthetic approach to education. By inquiry into a specific collaborated long-term art practice, the study conveys how the meaning making elements of an arts based learning practice gradually transform an artist’s and a teacher’s concepts of art education to an aesthetic approach to education. In the art practice examined the typical Finnish rye bread and a poem have represented a cultural theme that has been elaborated through art conventions. The poem and the rye bread have in the art practice been articulated as cultural representations of as well as symbolic projections on the Swedishspeaking minority culture in Finland. The study connects art informed inquiry to a hermeneutic research rationale where the research reasoning is generated through a rhizomatic alliance between empiric data and theories. The reasoning is constructed as an interpretation pattern that expands throughout the study. The study arguments that the rhizome as an aesthetic formation can be appropriate to refer to when articulating arts based meaning making and when creating arts based educational strategies, dialogues, aesthetic learning and multimodal literacy in education. The study investigates an aesthetic approach to research in education, which means that the art practice surveyed is interpreted through articulation appropriate to poetic aspects of art, education and research.
