A imprensa em Avaí: a cidade e o urbano no Avahy-Jornal, 1927-1931

Esta monografia é resultado da pesquisa de iniciação científica “A imprensa em Avaí: a cidade e o urbano no AVAHY-JORNAL, 1927 – 1931”, e tem por objetivo fazer um levantamento e mapeamento de temas sobre as dinâmicas e transformações urbanas da cidade de Avaí - localizada na região oeste paulista -, presentes no periódico “AVAHY-JORNAL” no período compreendido entre novembro de 1927 a dezembro de 1931. Por meio da articulação entre a leitura e fichamento do jornal, documentação específica sobre o município e fontes bibliográficas das temáticas acerca da Cidade e do Urbano, História da Imprensa, História de Avaí, da região e do estado de São Paulo, este trabalho também pretende esboçar uma problematização sobre a questão social, política e econômica de Avaí do final dos anos 1920 e início dos anos 1930, além de analisar o veículo pesquisado

Together with the increase of environmental degradation in the past few decades, the environmental education (EE) has emerged and grown all around the world. It is worrying the frequent assigning of stereotypes to the animals and the cases of disrespect to them. For these matters it was studied the presence and importance attributed to animals in the annals of six editions of an event of great significance in the field of Environmental Education, the meetings Pesquisa em Educação Ambiental (EPEAs). The animals were chosen for deserving more attention in the preservationist context, besides allowing the use of a great extent of activities in EE, regarding scholar and non-scholar organizations. The articles that presented descriptors related to animals in the title, keywords or abstract were analyzed in depth and characteristics such as segmentation of the studied population, locations where jobs tend to be performed, prevailing aspects and didactic material production, among others, were investigated and compared. It was also verified which current trends on Environmental Education currents are more frequently presented in the EPEAs articles, in order to map the Environmental Education in Brazil in the past few years, using as a basis an important theoretical framework in the area. Through the use of descriptors it was possible to define the articles that would be analyzed in depth, which is less than 6% of the total work published and represents that, until the sixth edition, the EPEAs have a minor amount of works concerning animal matters. In many of these articles animals were superficially worked, which demonstrates the necessity of approaches not only involving more the animals, but also addressing the complex environmental matter. Paulo ao grupo manifestante Black Bloc durante o segundo semestre de 2013, período seguinte às Jornadas de Junho na cidade de São Paulo. The purpose of this paper is to show some characteristics and essential information related to the Brazilian periodicals in the 19th century Revista Popular (1859-1862) and Jornal das Famílias (1863-1878), whose owner was the Frenchman Baptiste Louis Garnier. By that time the proliferation of periodicals attracts attention mainly because several of them had ephemeral existence, in opposition to Garnier’s periodicals which as a whole amount to 19 years in circulation. The research on these periodicals becomes relevant since they are well succeeded publications whose study makes possible the widening of the knowledge on social and cultural aspects of a very important period in Brazilian society.

Eça de Queirós na Gazeta de Notícias (Rio de Janeiro): a função social do jornal

There will be a review on the collaboration of Eça de Queirós in Gazeta de Notícias (Rio de Janeiro-1880-1897), written directly to the Brazilian public. In some of these texts Eça makes reflections on the mediation that the newspaper plays in society, particularly in southern Europe. We believe that in these texts there are manifestations and traits of doctrinal-programmatic nature, metalitterary aspects and also a kind of history of occidental press. These press texts are now gathered in Textos de Imprensa IV – da Gazeta de Notícias, which includes the volume critical edition of the works of Eça de Queirós, coordinated by Carlos Reis. The study of these texts will contribute to the analysis and interpretation of his fiction and journalistic works.
