O programa gestão nota 10 do instituto Ayrton Senna e a educação em Santarém-PA

Este estudo analisa a parceria público-privada celebrada entre a Prefeitura Municipal de Santarém – PA e o Instituto Ayrton Senna, que por meio da “Rede Vencer” tem implantado programas de gerenciamento na área educacional nesse município. Dentre estes programas enfocamos o “Programa Gestão Nota 10” (PGN10), por causa do nosso interesse em estudar as alterações que ocorreram com a implantação dessa ferramenta de gestão na Secretaria de Educação, com rebatimento nas escolas da rede municipal de ensino. Para tanto desenvolvemos uma ampla pesquisa em que analisamos documentos sobre a legislação educacional, relatórios de gestão, relatórios sobre a organização da rede municipal de ensino, documentos da parceria público-privada, etc. e também fizemos pesquisa in loco durante a pesquisa onde tivemos a oportunidade de realizar 21 (vinte e um) entrevistas semiestruturadas com professores, membros de conselho de controle social, pedagogos, diretores e coordenadores que atuam no setor educacional do município. Os dados encontrados na pesquisa foram tratados utilizando a análise de conteúdo, pois ela oferece a possibilidade de depreensão da fala dos entrevistados nas formas de comunicação oral e escrita, isso não a descarta, porém, como ferramenta para a análise de outros meios de comunicação – como o escrito nos documentos oficiais da parceria IAS-PMS. Isto porque entendemos que toda comunicação que traga consigo um conjunto de significações, de um emissor para um receptor, pode, em princípio, ser traduzida pelas técnicas de análise de conteúdo, interpretadas à luz do método materialista dialético. A análise desses dados, não nos permitiu classificar a ocorrência da gestão democrática, como demonstra a discussão empreendida no corpo do trabalho. Já em relação à implantação do modelo gerencial, percebemos que ela não pode ser completada, pois ainda existem elementos de gestão tradicional no município, além do mais o modelo da “nucleação”, onde a maioria das escolas sequer possui corpo administrativo, contribui para delongar o êxito na implantação da gestão gerencial. Percebemos também que, além de introduzir conceitos de mercado no setor público educacional, estimulando a concorrência entre turmas e escolas, essa parceria serve também para alimentar esses setores privados com dinheiro público em troca da aplicação de algumas técnicas de gestão gerencial no setor educacional. Ademais, há uma intensificação em cima do trabalho do professor que passa a ser responsabilizado pelos resultados a serem alcançados, o que cria uma situação em que não é permitido o descumprimento das metas sob a pecha da incompetência ou, mesmo que velada, sob a advertência de passar por alguma medida administrativa, caso verificado que o “problema foi o professor”. Isso ocasiona uma prática de “alteamento” dos indicadores que nem sempre expressam a situação real em que se encontra a educação. Por fim, nosso estudo demonstrou que, enquanto permanecer essa prática, a possibilidade de uma formação para a cidadania nas escolas fica diminuída, pois parece haver mais espaço para o amestramento de um espírito competitivo do que espaço para o desenvolvimento crítico visando favorecer a criação de um ambiente capaz de proporcionar a percepção de toda essa problemática que se encontra envolta pela ideologia de mercado no setor educacional.

As Políticas Públicas para a promoção da igualdade racial no contexto de Presidente Prudente

This work aims at presenting the historical and social path traversed in Brazil since slavery until the implementation of affirmative public policies to promote racial equality, at the local level, in the municipality of Presidente Prudente-SP. Therefore, the starting point was the equal rights guaranteed by the Constitution. As a result, there was a brief historical path of national trajectory, starting from slavery to the so-called cordial racism, seeking to demonstrate the route of racial discrimination in the country. Later, we made notes about the necessity and debate on public policy statements of various fields, were made explicit in the text and the articles of the Constitution which prescribe the crime of racism and some of the situations that were highlighted in the national media. The focus in the city of Presidente Prudente was through historical research, interviews, photographic records and documents that informed about the presence of black people in the city. From these data, based on previous research, it was possible to trace the formation and development of the Black Movement in the city and thus point the way to the formation of this City Council for Racial Equality and the need for application of affirmative action policies for the municipality by hereby. Data from the 2000 Census and 2010 indicate the demand of Presidente Prudente as the percentage of blacks self-declared grew this decade. The main demands are paring the areas of Health since the rate of black women Administrative Region (RA) of Presidente Prudente who die in puerperium and high; Education through enhanced, by the Municipal Education Law No. 10,639, and due attention to african-Brazilian culture by respecting the religious manifestations of African origin among others... Effects of immersion media and repolishing on color stability and superficial morphology of nanofilled composite resin

This study evaluated the influence of fluoride mouth rinses and repolishing on the superficial morphology and color stability of nanofilled resin. About 150 specimens were prepared and polished using aluminum oxide discs for 15 s with a pressure of 2 kg. The experimental groups were divided according to the immersion medium (artificial saliva, 0.5% sodium fluoride, Fluordent Reach, Oral B, Fluorgard) and repolishing procedure (without and with). The specimens were continuously immersed for 1 week. Thereafter, half of each sample was repolished. A color reading was performed after 24 h of immersion in the artificial saliva baseline, after continuous immersion, and after repolishing. The superficial morphology was examined using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) in a qualitative way. Color change (∆E) data were submitted to a mixed analysis of variance using a Shapiro-Wilk test (p>0.05 for the different immersion media) and Sidak's test (p<0.05 for the differences between groups). In the interaction between the repolishing and the immersion media, Fluorgard showed a statistical difference between the ∆E values with and without repolishing (p<0.0001). On the SEM observations, both Fluordent Reach and Fluorgard caused degradation of the superficial resinous matrix of the composite after continuous immersion. This matrix was removed after repolishing.

Storage media for avulsed teeth: a literature review

Dental avulsion is the most severe type of traumatic tooth injuries because it causes damageto several structures and results in the complete displacement of the tooth from its socketin the alveolar bone. The ideal situation is to replant an exarticulated tooth immediatelyafter avulsion because the extraoral time is a determinant factor for treatment successand for a good prognosis. However, it is not always possible. The success of replantationdepends on a number of factors that may contribute to accelerate or minimize theoccurrence of root resorption or ankylosis, among which is the type and characteristicsof the medium used for temporary storage during the time elapsed between avulsionand replantation. Maintaining the tooth in an adequate wet medium that can preserve,as longer as possible, the vitality of the periodontal ligament cells that remain on rootsurface is the key to success of replantation. Recent research has led to the developmentof storage media that produce conditions that closely resemble the original socketenvironment, with adequate osmolality (cell pressure), pH, nutritional metabolites andglucose, and thus create the best possible conditions for storage. Effect of pre-flaring and file size on the accuracy of two electronic apex locators

Objective: This ex vivo study evaluated the effect of pre-flaring and file size on the accuracy of the Root ZX and Novapex electronic apex locators (EALs). Material and methods: The actual working length (WL) was set 1 mm short of the apical foramen in the palatal root canals of 24 extracted maxillary molars. The teeth were embedded in an alginate mold, and two examiners performed the electronic measurements using #10, #15, and #20 K-files. The files were inserted into the root canals until the "0.0" or "APEX" signals were observed on the LED or display screens for the Novapex and Root ZX, respectively, retracting to the 1.0 mark. The measurements were repeated after the pre-flaring using the S1 and SX Pro-Taper instruments. Two measurements were performed for each condition and the means were used. Intra-class correlation coefficients (ICCs) were calculated to verify the intra-and inter-examiner agreement. The mean differences between the WL and electronic length values were analyzed by the three-way ANOVA test (p<0.05). Results: ICCs were high (>0.8) and the results demonstrated a similar accuracy for both EALs (p>0.05). Statistically significant accurate measurements were verified in the pre-flared canals, except for the Novapex using a #20 K-file. Conclusions: The tested EALs showed acceptable accuracy, whereas the pre-flaring procedure revealed a more significant effect than the used file size.
