Patronage and bribery in sixteenth-century Peru: The government of Viceroy Conde del Villar and the visita of Licentiate Alonso Fernandez de Bonilla

This dissertation deals with the nature of the political system in sixteenth-century colonial Spanish America through an analysis of the administration of Viceroy Fernando de Torres y Portugal, Conde del Villar, in Peru (1585–1590). The political conflicts surrounding his government and the accusations of bribery leveled against him and members of his household provide the documentation for a case study in a system in which prestige and authority were defined through a complex network of patronage and personal relationships with the Spanish monarch, the ultimate source of legitimate power. ^ This dissertation is conceptualized using categories presented in Max Weber's theory on the nature of political order and authority in the history of human societies and the definition of the patrimonial system as one in which the power of he king confers legitimacy and authority on the whole political structure. ^ The documentary base for this dissertation is an exceptionally detailed and complete record related to the official administrative review ( visita) ordered by Philip II in 1588 to assess the government of Viceroy Torres y Portugal. Additionally, letters as well as other primary and secondary sources are scattered in repositories on both sides of the Atlantic. ^ The study of this particular case offers an excellent opportunity to gain an understanding of a political order in which jurisdictional boundaries between institutions and authorities were not clearly defined. The legal system operating in the viceroyalty was subordinated to the personal decisions of the king, and order and equilibrium were maintained through the interaction of patronage networks that were reproduced at all levels of the colonial society. ^ The final charges against Viceroy Conde del Villar, as well as their impact on the political career of those involved in the accusations, reveal that situations today understood to constitute bribery had a different meaning in the context of a patrimonial order. ^

Concentração Varejista: um estudo da Rua Conde de Sarzedas

O cluster é um fenômeno contemporâneo de grande importância, tendo sido cada vez mais estudado nos últimos anos em razão de sua importância estratégica para as empresas que o compõem, bem como para a região em que se localiza. Dessa forma, esta pesquisa objetiva identificar, analisar e classificar os fatores que contribuíram para o nascimento e manutenção de um cluster comercial especializado na distribuição varejista de produtos evangélicos na Rua Conde de Sarzedas (São Paulo – SP). Esta é uma pesquisa descritiva efetuada por meio de um levantamento de campo junto aos proprietários e gerentes das lojas varejistas do cluster comercial em estudo. Os principais fatores que contribuíram para o nascimento do cluster varejista foram: fundação da sede de uma grande igreja evangélica nos arredores, abertura de gravadora de discos evangélicos, participação de fiéis cantores, apoio da rádio e demanda dos produtos ofertados pelos fiéis. Já em relação à manutenção do cluster comercial, obteve-se os seguintes fatores pro lsores: divulgação boca a boca, fácil acesso, preços acessíveis, atendimento especializado, ações de marketing, crescimento da população evangélica local e de outras regiões, cooperação entre lojistas, eventos de promoção específicos, desenvolvimento da economia brasileira e acesso à internet.

Americanismo e fordismo nos boletins da comissão brasileiro-americana de educação industrial

This text thematizes the performance of the Brazilian-American Commission of Industrial Education (CBAI) since its installation at Rio de Janeiro, on 1947, and extinction in Curitiba, on 1963. The general goal consists in identifying if are there any relation between Gramsci’s Americanism and Fordism elements and the CBAI’s performance, by means of a speech analysis from de Newsletter of CBAI and other documental sources related to the organizations performance. The specifics objectives intend to contextualize the political and economic situation that Brazil was going through before and concomitant to CBAI’s performance, emphasizing some aspects of the Cold War feature that contributed to narrow the relations between United States and other countries of Latin America, especially Brazil. On the following, it intends to present the main aspects of Gramsci’s thought and the Americanism and fordism and Passive Revolution as key categories for a better understanding of the presence of an Americanization project on Brazilian’s professional education. As so, the object of this study are the Newsletters of CBAI. Finally, the speech’s analisys of the Newsletter was the methodology used to demonstrate CBAI as an Americanism diffuser. The documental research and sources served as groundwork, especially the Newsletters, were found at Departamento de Documentação Histórica of Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná (DEDHIS) and at Biblioteca de Educação of Universidade de São Paulo (FEUSP). The theoretical foundation has as a workline for the conception of the categories the studies of Gramsci about the of work (and the Newsletters itself), and the speech’s analysis of main concepts from Bakhtin, Voloshinov’s and the Circle of studies about language philosophy. At last, this paperwork concludes that the attempt to disseminate an amerizanization project in Brazil obtneined significant results on the industrialization of the country according to the fordism’s racionalization standarts, nevertheless, this research considers that such a project corroborates the comprehension about the consolidation of a Passive Revolution’s project.

Relatório da prática de ensino supervisionada na Escola Secundária Gabriel Pereira, agrupamento de escolas n,º 4 de Évora EB 2,3 conde de Vilalva e EB1 Jardim de Infância do Bacelo

Este relatório está inserido no âmbito da disciplina Prática de Ensino Supervisionada (PES), que permitirá a obtenção do grau de Mestre em Ensino de Educação Física nos Ensinos Básico e Secundário. O relatório de estágio aborda o trabalho desenvolvido realizado durante o ano lectivo 2009/201O, como professor estagiário, na Escola EB 2,3 Conde de Vilalva, na Escola Secundária Gabriel Pereira e na Escola Básica 1-Jardim de Infância do Bacelo. No final do estágio foi possível afirmar que o que aprendemos ao longo deste ano lectivo nos acompanhará para o resto da vida profissional e social, uma vez que este estágio curricular veio complementar a formação adquirida durante a Licenciatura, auxiliando na incrementação das competências técnico­ científicas, sociais e pessoais, indispensáveis a esta actividade profissional. ABSTRACT: This report is inserted in the supervised teaching subject, as known as Prática de Ensino Supervisionada (PES), which purpose is to obtain Master's degree in Physical Education in primary and secondary education. The stage report deals with all the work developed during 2009/201O school year, as a student teacher, in Escola EB 2,3 Conde de Vilalva, Escola Secundária Gabriel Pereira and in Escola Básica 1-Jardim de Infância do Bacelo. At the end of the stage, it was possible to state that what we have learned past this year will be useful and will be with us for the rest of our professional and social life due the formation acquired during graduation, improving technical, scientific, social and personal skills that are vital and indispensable to this professional activity.

Relatório da prática de ensino supervisionada realizado no agrupamento de escolas n.º 4 de Évora - EB 2,3 Conde de Vilalva e Escola Secundária André de Gouveia em ensino de educação física nos ensinos básico e secundário

A Prática de Ensino Supervisionada desenvolveu-se no Agrupamento de Escolas nº 4 de Évora- EB 2,3 Conde Vilalva e na Escola Secundária André de Gouveia, com as turmas do 8º ano e 12° ano respectivamente. Para elucidar o trabalho realizado ao longo do ano desenvolvi o presente relatório onde abordei a preparação cientifica, pedagógica e didáctica que permitiu um conhecimento dos alunos e do currículo; a Planificação e condução das aulas e respectiva avaliação que faz referencia ao planeamento por etapas e às vantagens do mesmo e ainda à forma como foram leccionadas as aulas; uma análise da prática de ensino; a participação na escola e as actividades desenvolvidas nas mesmas; e o desenvolvimento profissional com referências ás competências que o professor deve assumir dentro da comunidade escolar. Com os parâmetros acima referidos demonstra-se a grande importância que o estágio teve na aquisição das competências essenciais inerentes à docência. ABSTRACT: Supervised Teaching Practice was developed in School Cluster nº 4 of Évora­ Elementary School Conde Vilalva and in Secondary School André de Gouveia, with classes of 8th and 12th grade, respectively. To elucidate the work I done over this school year, I developed this report which discussed the scientific, educational and teaching preparation, allowing an understanding of students and the curriculum; the planning and conduct of lessons and their assessment that refers to the planning stages, and to advantage of it and, on the other hand, the way that were taught lessons; an analysis of teaching practice; participation in school and activities carried therein; and professional development with reference to the competences that the teacher should take within the school community. With the above parameters is shown the importance of this stage in the acquisition of essential skills related to teaching.
