The Cooperating Teacher (CT) areessentialfor skills development and knowledge of future physical education teachers. Through asemi-structured interview, the purpose of our studyis to understand the perspectives and view sof CT with respectto the Teachers Students (TS) preparationin their first contact with the school reality. We verified that the CT feel that TS start with knowledge, but they cannot put theminto practice. This difficultyis due to the fact that the current curriculum have few hoursof practical subjects for the TS developte aching skillsand learning. However, despitethe current curriculum does not meet all the requirements for the professionalization has Curricular Units(CU) importante for the development of values, ethics, ethics and citizenship TS.

This paper discusses the results of an investigation of academic achievement by gender and student perception of the expectations of their teachers. 120 students from the 5th year of primary education municipal public schools in the metropolitan region of Campinas city participated in the research: 60 of the students have satisfactory academic performance and the other 60 have unsatisfactory performance. We used a scale of student perception of teacher expectations and, to measure academic performance, we considered the grade teachers assigned to students. Research results revealed significant differences between boys and girls in the group of students with unsatisfactory performance, because most of them (83.3%) were male. On the other hand, there were no statistically significant differences between boys and girls in the group with satisfactory academic performance, although girls' average academic performance was higher. Regarding the perception of their teachers, we observed differences in both groups. Students with satisfactory performance have the perception that they are more praised and more often chosen to assist the teacher in the classroom while underperforming students believe they receive more criticism from their teachers and are seen as more unruly. The data allow discussing student-teacher bond, the influence of experience at the time of learning and how it influences the interest and motivation of students.

This study evaluates seven higher learning practices performed on a subject of a Speech-language pathology course at São Paulo State. It was done with 31 sophomore students of a public university, with a 21-26 age range. Teaching practices were planned according to the Teaching plan of the Professor responsible for the subject, the recommendations of the National Curricular Directions of the Speech-language pathology undergraduate course and the theory assumptions of Behavior Analysis. The results showed that 394 teaching practices evaluations were performed by the students, 259 of them (66%) favorably and 135 (33%) unfavorably. The statement of the experience was the teaching practice better evaluated (70%) different from the interview (62%). This paper showed the potentialities and fragilities of each teaching practice performed and may contribute to Speech-language pathology teachers and other areas of teaching on the conception of the teaching plan.

Introduction: the voice is one of the main features of interaction between teacher and student. As teachers, future teachers are also risk population for the development of dysphonia and may be subject to protective intervention. Purpose: to evaluate the effect of a vocal warm-up and cool-down procedure at Pedagogy students. Method: A quasi-experimental study, pre-posttest without a control group, with fourteen Pedagogy students at a public university, participants of a short course. The analysis was performed by a self-assessment visual analogue scale of 10 cm, considering aspects related to the body and voice. The protocol was implemented in three steps: pre-test, post warm-up and post cool-down, and it was calculated the averages of the variables of discomfort and compared the measurements before and after performing each procedure. It was used the the Wilcoxon signed-rank statiscal test, adopting a significance level of 5%. Results: there was less discomfort with statistical significance after the vocal warm-up (p=0.002) and cool-down (p=0.001), with greater magnitude in both aspects related to voice. Conclusions: The vocal warm-up and cool-down have positive effects on the perception of students and should be taught to future teachers in order to prevent vocal disorders. The vocal cool-down, poorly researched, should not be passed over vocal health practices since its purpose showed obvious improvement in the investigated group.

Alzheimer’s disease (AD) accounts for approximately 56% of all cases of dementia. The present study aimed to report the perception of AD by students of Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy and Occupational Therapy from Faculty of Philosophy and Science “Julio de Mesquita Filho” – UNESP – Marília, with regard to the symptoms, diagnosis and treatment, between 2011 and 2012. The questionnaire with open and closed questions was administered to 101 students, using as a criterion for exclusion those who refused to answer the survey and / or not signed the informed consent form. After the questionnaire application, the answers have undergone quantitative analysis, checking which information and concepts about Alzheimer’s disease these students acquired during the undergraduate years. The data shows that although students have knowledge about the signs and symptoms of the disease, few mention the importance of family, the caregiver and the relationship of the disease with dependence that commonly reaches this population.

The authors conducted a cross-sectional short-term study using Lind's Moral Judgment Test (MJT) to compare the moral judgment competence (C-score) among students in the first and eighth semesters from a medical school in the Northeast region of Brazil. This study also evaluated the influence of such factors as age and gender on moral competence. A difference equal to or greater than 5.0 points (absolute effect-size) on the C-score was considered significant. A regression of moral judgment competence among the students in their eighth semester in relation to the students in the first semester (C-score: 20.5 and 26.2 points, respectively) was observed. In the analysis of the students' performances in terms of MJT dilemmas, the phenomenon of moral segmentation was observed in both semesters, and the students performed better on the worker's dilemma than on the doctor's dilemma. Among students in the same semester of study, older students had lower C-scores. When comparing performance by gender, there was no significant difference between men's and women's C-scores. The finding of regression or stagnation in moral competence among the medical students demands deep reflection by those who work with the political-pedagogical projects of medical schools and by the entire faculty, in order to seek strategies to reverse this condition.

This research aims to understand and analyze the influence at the participants professional formation of the two companies, already graduated and working since the Dance Companies from the beginning until today. For the development of this study will be conducted qualitative research involving literature and area of study research. The technique used for the collection is a questionnaire with open and closed questions. The research subjects students trained by Physical Education Department of the State University of São Paulo - Campus Rio Claro, active in this area of academic formation, with one participant from each Dance Company in each year of existence. Data analysis will be based on the technique of content analysis proposed by Bardin (2010). The results found that the extension projects contribute to the professional acting, because they enable exchange of experience, acquisition and incorporation of new knowledge, different from previously built on a broad vision of dance. Today statistics are one of the most important bases of the engineer formation. Statistics are used indirectly every day for engineers in a large panel of sectors like construction, mechanical engineering, biological engineering, electrical engineering, computer science etc. The main goal of this report is to compare different ways the engineers of tomorrow are formed in order to show which engineering is the best practice. The comparison will be done on different universities in France, Brazil and the US on Mechanical, Civil, Electrical and Production branches. We will compare the amount of courses required, the degree of knowledge needed and the mains subjects
