This paper analyzes the dynamics of Brazilian cultural policy between 1995 and 2010. Studies related defend the existence of a "contrast" between the results obtained by the government of Fernando Henrique Cardoso (1995-2002) and Luiz Incio Lula da Silva (2003- 2010), that divide it between a model "neo-liberal" and a "democratic" model of cultural policy. Our main achievement is to produce empirical knowledge that can verify these claims. The build of indicators was guided by the theoretical assumption of the historical new institutionalism, discussed by Pierson (2006), and the observed universe comprises the totality of cultural producers who have submitted projects to Mecenato, registered in SALICNET - Ministry of Culture.

This research aims to analyze the behavior of the central legislature in five key moments in the institutionalization of defense policy in Brazil: (i) the approval of the first version of the National Defense Policy, (ii) the creation of the Ministry of Defence (iii) the approval of the second version of the National Defense Policy, (iv) the approval of the National Defense Strategy, and (v) the approval of the Supplementary Law No. 136 of 2010 which, among other things, provides for the creation of the Book white National Defense. This process covers the mandates of the government of Fernando Henrique Cardoso and Luiz Incio Lula da Silva (1995-2010). Besides the description of each of the above moments, we discuss the performance of the country on the agenda of regional and international security and are raised the resources available to Congress in order to strengthen their participation in the formulation of defense policy. The approval processes for each of the policies and laws are related to provide a view of the Legislative Power's capacity or not to change matters that in general have been proposed by the Executive Power. Finally, the study identifies how the progress in the participation of the Legislative Power in matters of defense policy was shy, but important because it signifies the increase of representation in popular theme

O futebol nos dias de hoje representa algo muito maior do que um exerccio fsico ou uma atividade de descontrao. Ele desempenha um papel dentro da sociedade que extrapola as perspectivas do jogo. Reduzir a anlise sobre o futebol profissional apenas ao aspecto ldico do esporte tambm diminui a concepo sobre o que ele realmente representa. Nos bastidores do espetculo futebolstico existe um universo de atos polticos que abrangem diversas esferas do poder que por sua vez auxiliam na execuo do esporte como um evento esportivo com milhes de espectadores. Uma das razes para que o mbito poltico do esporte seja menos conhecido do que as tticas dos tcnicos ou dribles dos jogadores a cobertura feita pelos meios de comunicao. No decorrer de sua existncia, o futebol se transformou em um evento globalizado que envolve em sua rbita muito mais do que apenas o aspecto esportivo. Com os anos, o esporte foi se firmando em diversos pases como produto cultural e at mesmo ferramenta poltica. O que se v contudo a sobreposio miditica do jogo sobre a sua verdadeira estrutura. O entretenimento trazido pelo esporte ganha as pginas enquanto o jogo poltico que sustenta a realizao do mesmo recebe uma ateno mais discreta das mdias. A proposta deste trabalho analisar como foi feita a divulgao de notcias referentes Copa do Mundo de 2014, que ser realizada no Brasil, nos jornais Folha de S.Paulo e O Estado de S. Paulo durante o ano de 2012 atravs dos seus cadernos de esportes. O objetivo compreender qual o teor e a intensidade da cobertura sobre os fatos polticos que ajudam a dar forma ao evento mais importante do futebol. Acontecimentos desta proporo exigem preparao do pas, o que implica em um trabalho em conjunto entre o Governo Federal e FIFA. In 1954, it was celebrated the centenary of railways in Brazil. The date refers to the first section of 14.5 km of railway in Brazil (30/04/1854), in Rio de Janeiro, between Mau and Fragoso, of the Petropolis Railway Company (Estrada de Ferro Petrpolis). Some of the texts and commemorative events indicated the symbolic values that the railroad took in the Brazilian history. Firstly, on 30.04.1954, the railway section Mau-Fragoso and steam locomotive Baroness (the first used on the track) were declared national monuments(Decree No. 35,447-A, April 30, 1954). Secondly, some entities (Clube de Engenharia, Conselho Nacional de Geografia, Ministério da Viao e Obras Pblicas) highlighted the importance of celebrating the Brazilian railway history and its historical significance, economic and geographical. For this, some events was occurred (the commemoration of one hundred years in Rio de Janeiro and Recife on 30.04.1954). Among the texts wrought produced, we highlight the text I Centenary of Brazilian Railroad (1954), released by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatstica), and the National Council of Geography (Conselho Nacional de Geografia). The emphasis given to the railway refersto the geographical perspective (territorial expansion), but also makes mention of the Barode Mau, the founder of Petropolis Railway Company. We aim to understand the celebration from evocations about the Brazilian railroad history and some ideas that is assigned to the railway (and the Barode Mau), and railway heritage (the track and the locomotive Baroneza). On basis of this review will seek to understand how it was reconceived the railroad memory in view of these values and material elements.

De larvas e pupas de Musca domestica, Chrysomya albiceps, Cochliomyia homivorax, Stomoxys calcitrans e Syntesiomyia nudiseta coletadas em diversos ambiente, em So Paulo, Paran, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul e Minas Gerais, foram obtidas dez espcies de microhimenpteros parasitides da supermamlia Chalcidoidea, algumas assinaladas pela primeira vez no Brasil.

O presente estudo busca estabelecer quais as teorias que sustentam a preparao psicolgica em praticantes de tnis de mesa. Para tal foram utilizadas as seguintes abordagens: Histrico do esporte no Brasil e no mundo; Ensino/aprendizagem; Mtodo japons; Mtodo alemo; Mtodo sueco; O mtodo de iniciao nacional; A prtica em si; Formaes tcnica e fsica; Aspectos psicolgicos no tnis de mesa; Concentrao; Ansiedade; Motivao. Com relao a preparao psicolgica, esta pesquisa de reviso de literatura foca mostrar quais as teorias que sustentam esta preparao no tnis de mesa, atravs de uma reviso a cerca dos principais movimentos das psicologias dos sculos XIX e XX: o estruturalismo, a psicologia de William James, o funcionalismo, o behaviorismo, a psicologia dinmica e a psicanlise. Ao estabelecer as teorias obtm-se o respaldo da preparao psicolgica como vista por pessoas ativas no esporte, proporcionando uma viso geral de dois pontos principais: qual a importncia da preparao psicolgica dos mesa-tenistas e como essa preparao est no meio esportivo, tanto no Brasil quanto no mundo

The concept of educational radio is present in the Brazilian Code of Broadcasting in 1963, valued by an Interministerial 1999.According to the Ministry of Communications, only 176 stations are considered educational universe of 3,000 existing radios in Brazil. In this context, the study proposes to establish a discussion on the educational experiences obtained from the radio, considering the Brazilian radio culture that favors concessions to trade groups and religious politicians. The challenge will be to move toward a program that combines educational content, entertainment, and thus ensures a common universe of communication skills enabling the adult radio listeners their actual interaction with the world around him. The methodology will work in the literature from texts on the subject, and the result of practical observations collected during visits to the broadcasters, programming and analysis.

In road safety studies that involve accidents comparisons in distinct geographical spaces or in different periods of time in the same geographical space, the index which lists the number of traffic fatalities with the distance traveled by road transport vehicles is considered more appropriate than the rates related to the population or the fleet. In this paper, the results of an original research are presented, in which the values of the rate of traffic deaths per billion kilometers traveled (IMBQ) by the motor vehicle fleet in Brazil and in each state of the country were estimated. The evaluation was performed based on the official number of fatalities provided by the Ministry of Health and on the amount of fuel sold informed by the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels. In 2009, Brazil presented an index of 52.84 fatalities per billion kilometers, which reveals an extremely alarming situation considering that this value is from 7 to 12 times higher than the one for more developed countries. An important correlation between the death index in the states and the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita was observed; in general, the less economically developed is the state, it means, lowest GDP, higher is the IMBQ.

This paper presents the integrated sports marketing to female rugby management in Brazil and analyzes the strategies used to popularize this sport. The Brazilian Confederation of Rugby in 2011 developed a strategic planning with the objective of restructuring mode and has been using sports marketing concepts to promote rugby, aiming its growth, both in numbers of practitioners, as supporters and fans. To perform the proposed objective was conducted a survey exploratory on the rugby modality that will be present at the Olympic Games in 2016. We analyze also the history of women's Rugby Team and the tools of marketing and sportive management used by the Confederation. At the end is a study of the strategies of sports management female rugby in Brazil, taking into consideration also the gender issue, especially the obstacles women face athletes in a sport that is blended with the virility and strength male.

O presente artigo apresenta as contribuies do programa Pr-Letramento em Matemtica para um grupo de professores cursistas. Sob diferentes orientaes, pelo vis do professor reflexivo e por meio do estudo de caso, foram estabelecidas trs categorias de anlise. Dos resultados, obtidos pela anlise de dois questionrios aplicados 18 professores cursistas e de dois relatrios das professoras tutoras desse grupo, foi possvel concluir que o curso foi importante pela retomada de contedos matemticos, por abordar questes pertinentes ao trabalho em sala de aula, discutindo-as entre os pares e proporcionando alteraes na prtica pedaggica. Alm disso, os professores cursistas consideraram que a participao de professores no programa Pr-Letramento em Matemtica pode ser um dos motivos para a melhora no desempenho dos alunos na Prova Brasil, avaliao em larga escala para a Educao Bsica. Esse programa, parceria do MEC-Ministério de Educao do Brasil com as Universidades parceiras e Sistemas de Ensino, aconteceu de 2005 a 2013.
