Unilateral Neglect Syndrome is one of the consequences of cerebral vascular accident (CVA) generally following right parietal lobe lesion, leading to the impairment of perceptive visual, spatial and attention functions. The patient affected does not realize the environmental stimuli on the contralesional hemibody. Occupational therapy plays an important role in caring for this patient, seeking the recovery of perception, attention and social engagement. This study aimed to describe and evaluate the results of occupational therapy intervention and treatment in a single Unilateral Neglect Syndrome post CVA patient. Data were obtained from a survey of the patient’s medical records and interviews of his therapist and caretaker. The analysis of the patient’s medical records and his therapist’s report showed that the patient responded satisfactorily to treatment, presenting a decrease of the left unilateral neglect at the end of the study period. The favorable outcome of the patient outlined the relevance of evaluating the effects of Occupational Therapy interventions for clinical unilateral neglect syndrome.

The role of the librarian and archivist in school settings is shown, currently in the initial stages. Starting up this hypothesis, the PET of Librarianship of the FFC/UNESP prepared the design in PET at School with a view to submitting importance of these professionals this environment. Thus, it is expected that the performance of the stock of PET Librarianship in schools is another catalytic to the formation of responsible professionals and concerned with the society around them as idealized the political projects of pedagogical courses of Library and Archival of FFC/UNESP. Experiments of this nature bring the discussion of knowledge acquired in the classroom and the possibility of social transformation by information professional.

Este trabajo tiene como objetivo socializar mi experiencia como profesora en el contexto de un proyecto social situado en una ciudad del interior de São Paulo. A principios de 2010, fui contratado para realizar una residencia no obligatoria junto a un grupo de alumnos de edades comprendidas entre los nueve y diez años, por la tarde, todos los días de la semana. A través de un enfoque cualitativo, siguiendo la metodología de la investigación autobiográfica, pretendo narrar mi proceso de formación como maestra en el contexto de una institución de educación no formal. En este sentido, la investigación tiene como objetivo discutir los conceptos de educación no formal y formal, en la búsqueda por comprender las especificidades de las mismas como de sus implicaciones para pensar en la formación de los futuros profesores. Por lo tanto, para la investigación, consideré como datos: mis registros elaborados durante el año 2010, los documentos del proyecto social y su Proyecto Político- Pedagógico, mis planificaciones semanales acerca de las reuniones mantenidas con los estudiantes y el Proyecto Político-Pedagógico del curso de Pedagogía de la UNESP, Río Claro. Este último ofrecerá subsidios para discutir cuál es la contribución del curso en cuestión para el trabajo del pedagogo en los espacios educativos no formal (currículo, las prácticas pedagógicas, la inclusión en los proyectos sociales, etc.) Creo que la investigación puede ayudar a pensar en la formación de un profesional que tenga posibilidades de inserirse tanto en la educación formal como no formal

The theme approached relates contemporaneous organizational competitive scenario to draw parallels between the organizational structure, Knowledge Management and Public Relations. Many aspects are complementary and can be grouped, enabling the idea of verifying the possibility of a Public Relations work like a manager of Knowledge Management. The objective of this study focuses in analyzing the administration ways of the organizational environment to verify the best kind of structure for the competitive development pattern, then we sought the meaning of Knowledge Management and their results to draw a parallel between the image of the Knowledge Management process manager and the Public Relations professional. The methodology chosen was bibliographic research, by which we noticed the theme relevance, the proposal validity and build a convergence between the skills of a person responsible for managing processes in Knowledge Management and the capabilities of a Public Relations professional. This way adopts a human feature to the managing process, respecting the technical-informational scenario of this area

This essay treats the government acting on the National Financial System (SFN) through the policy of directing credit, a common practice within industrialization attempts. In Brazil this policy occurred mainly through the principal instrument of the government on the financial system, the National Bank of Economic and Social Development (BNDES). It will be explained BNDES’ position within public finances and its ability to mobilize or act as an intermediary for mobilizing resources for the economy. Will also be addressed the countercyclical characteristics of BNDES’ disbursements in the Brazilian economy using as a backdrop the financial crisis that erupted in the overthrow of the mortgages in the USA, also known as the subprime crisis. Finally we will present the main ideas behind the criticism and praise that this model with strong state presence in the financial system suffers

This study is the result of a bibliographical research on the performance of the Third Sector in the current society. From references the study tried to locate the sprouting of the Third Sector in the international scene, whit the bankruptcy of welfare state, until its insertion in the Brazilian scene. Following this historical context, the paper of Communitarian Communication, Social Marketing and Communitarian Public Relations is discussed the importance of the communication of this Sector. Moreover, it has the effort of making one brief conceptualization and definition of the present terms. Working whit the concepts of Communitarian Communication and Communitarian Public Relations the study tried to focus the importance of creating a bond whit the development of a new educational model. Finally, the relation and the paper of the Communication in the construction of a new conception of citizenship was discussed. The hypothesis that crossed this study with respect to the potentialities of the Third Sector are considered an answer to the current social economic and political questions. Confiding, thus, a dynamic and stimulating field for the professional of Public Relations that, opposing what some studies had tries to show, are not necessarily the service of the market or private interests, but can collaborate whit its expertise to help to rescues the ethical values capable to change the life into a more solidary society

This study is the result of theoretical reflections and analyses about the role of public relations professional in existing management of cultural diversity in organizations, arising from globalisation and glocalisation. This way, we analyze new perspectives for organizational communication, considering the cultural aspects of different audiences in an organization. Thus, the goal of this work is to show another look for this activity, in which prime respect and integration amid interculturality and enable new paths for public relations, acting as ' cultural Integrator ' in this scenario. For understanding these new interfaces, the study takes as its starting point an overview of roots that gave rise to this context, starting from the analysis of various aspects of globalisation and your reflexes and impacts on organizations, plus a contextualization of the organizational communication trajectory. Then the global and local culture is discussed, as well as the glocalisation and repercussions in organizations, which gave rise to a scenary of cultural diversity and possible conflicts of that context. From the particular analysis of work, are given the implications of this encounter of multiple cultures in organizations, in addition to being presented theories of intercultural communication in trying to manage and provide the dialogue and understanding between different cultures. Finally, this study deals with the possibilities of public relations practice in interculturality, showing paths to the mediation of various interests between organizations and their audiences in the sphere of glocalization, showing the activity of International/Global public relations. It also presents the possible involvement of public relations in the management of a communication on cultural diversity scenary, showing perspectives for this activity on the theory of excellence, in order to seek understanding and understanding even in the midst of diversity

This study aims to examine the changes occurring in organizational communication activities with the arrival of the Internet. The intention is to know how companies and their communication professionals have adapted to it and how they are making use of new digital technologies, especially social media. The study also allows know what strategies they are using to reach your target audience on the Internet, including those targeting mobile devices. For this, a survey was conducted with medium to large companies in Bauru (state of São Paulo), to see how it are acting in the online environment and what its perception regarding their image, visibility and positioning on Web

This way, the work starts on the context of innovation and spread of new ideas, so people can understand the importance of the promotion and study of new ways to market. A pesquisa teve como objetivo central identificar e analisar as diversas estratégias de permanência e reprodução social dos produtores familiares e os efeitos do Programa Nacional de Fortalecimento da Agricultura Familiar (PRONAF) no município de Urânia - SP. Constata-se que as atividades desenvolvidas externamente a unidade produtiva e principalmente a previdência social rural são importantes na composição da renda dos produtores familiares. Mas, as principais estratégias são de base agrícola, visto que as atividades agropecuárias constituem-se na principal fonte de renda dos produtores familiares, destacando-se a opção por culturas que proporcionam alta rentabilidade por hectare cultivado, tais como: as frutíferas (uva, laranja, caju, dentre outras) e olerícolas (berinjela, jiló, milho verde etc.). Nesse sentido, a relevância das atividades agropecuárias, principalmente a fruticultura, em especial a uva que demanda grandes investimentos em tecnologia, despesas em insumos faz com que o PRONAF desempenhe importante papel para o desenvolvimento das atividades agropecuárias através das modalidades de custeio e investimento no conjunto de produtores familiares pesquisados, apesar de suas limitações no que tange a marginalização de produtores menos capitalizados e atuação exclusivamente vinculada à concessão de crédito. Identificamos que a gestão profissionalizada é um importante elemento para o progresso econômico da unidade produtiva, proporcionando condições mais favoráveis à permanência do produtor familiar na atividade agrícola e a sucessão hereditária na agricultura familiar, que perfaz a minoria dos casos em função da resistência dos jovens em permanecer no espaço rural decorrentes da baixa rentabilidade e de outros fatores como a penosidade do trabalho...(Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo)

O trabalho analisa como se estabelece o processo de construção social de uma identidade territorial em dois assentamentos humanos na cidade de Huánuco, Peru. Os processos de assentamento se configuram por movimentos migratórios autônomos, por processo de migração forçada (refugiados), ou por políticas públicas específicas de assentamentos humanos, seja por instrumentos de reforma agrária e ou por reordenamento territorial, bem como por iniciativas concretas construídas pelos sujeitos a partir de sua atuação em movimentos sociais. Estes últimos se estabelecem de forma mais acentuada na América Latina, no campo e na cidade, por meio dos movimentos sociais de luta pela terra; no Brasil, em particular no campo, o MST se constitui em um grande protagonista, assim como em lutas por moradia também se encontra um movimento mais articulado denominado Movimento dos Sem Teto. Buscou-se compreender melhor como esses movimentos ocorrem no Peru e tendo como base empírica o município de Huánuco. Destaca-se que esse processo de reorganização espacial dos sujeitos gera dúvidas quanto a se constituir em um território de emancipação, de constituição de liberdade organizativa e de gestão, com capacidade de se transformar em elemento de alteridade, ou simplesmente de subordinação, confinamento, não permitindo a constituição de uma comunidade livre e autônoma. Diante destas questões exige-se uma reflexão sobre o processo de construção social de uma identidade territorial, como forma de entender as dinâmicas de apropriação territorial que se efetiva por comunidades nesta nova espacialidade ocupada e vivenciada, delimitando claramente se esta espacialidade constitui um território per si ou em si.
