Study Z gamma events and limits on anomalous ZZ gamma and Z gamma gamma couplings in pp(-) collisions at root s=1.96 Tev

We present a measurement of the Z gamma production cross section and limits on anomalous ZZ gamma and Z gamma gamma couplings for form-factor scales of Lambda=750 and 1000 GeV. The measurement is based on 138 (152) candidates in the ee gamma (mu mu gamma) final state using 320(290) pb(-1) of p (p) over bar collisions at root s=1.96 TeV. The 95% C.L. limits on real and imaginary parts of individual anomalous couplings are vertical bar h(10,30)(Z)vertical bar < 0.23, vertical bar h(20,40)(Z)vertical bar < 0.020, vertical bar h(10,30)(gamma)vertical bar < 0.23, and vertical bar h(20,40)(gamma)vertical bar < 0.019 for Lambda=1000 GeV.

Search for excited muons in p(p)over-bar collisions at root s=1.96 TeV

We present the results of a search for the production of an excited state of the muon, mu(*), in proton antiproton collisions at root s =1.96 TeV. The data have been collected with the D0 experiment at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider and correspond to an integrated luminosity of approximately 380 pb(-1). We search for mu(*) in the process p (p) over bar ->mu(*)mu, with the mu(*) subsequently decaying to a muon plus photon. No excess above the standard model expectation is observed in data. Interpreting our data in the context of a model that describes mu(*) production by four-fermion contact interactions and mu(*) decay via electroweak processes, we set a 95% confidence level production cross section upper limit ranging from 0.057 to 0.112 pb, depending on the mass of the excited muon. Choosing the scale for contact interactions to be Lambda=1 TeV, excited muon masses below 618 GeV are excluded.

Search for the lightest scalar top quark in events with two leptons in p(p)over-bar collisions at root s=1.96 TeV

Data collected by the do detector at a p (p) over bar center-of-mass energy of 1.96 TeV at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider have been used to search for pair production of the lightest supersymmetric partner of the top quark decaying into bl (nu) over tilde. The search is performed in the ll' = e mu and mu mu final states. No evidence for this process has been found in data samples of approximately 400 pb(-1). The domain in the [M((t) over tilde (1)), M((nu) over tilde)] plane excluded at the 95% C.L. is substantially extended by this search. (c) 2007 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

We present a search for the pair production of scalar top quarks, (t) over tilde, using 995 pb(-1) of data collected in p (p) over bar collisions with the Dempty set detector at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider at root s = 1.96 TeV. Both scalar top quarks are assumed to decay into a charm quark and a neutralino ((chi) over tilde (0)(1)), where (chi) over tilde (0)(1) is the lightest supersymmetric particle. This leads to a final state with two acoplanar charm jets and missing transverse energy. We find the yield of such events to be consistent with the standard model expectation, and exclude sets of (t) over tilde and (chi) over tilde (0)(1) masses at the 95% C.L. that substantially extend the domain excluded by previous searches. Search for supersymmetry in di-photon final states at root s=1.96 TeV

We report results of a search for supersymmetry (SUSY) with gauge-mediated symmetry breaking in di-photon events collected by the do experiment at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider in 2002-2006. In 1.1 fb(-1) of data, we find no significant excess beyond the background expected from the standard model and set the most stringent lower limits to date for a standard benchmark model on the lightest neutralino and chargino masses of 125 GeV and 229 GeV, respectively, at 95% confidence.
