Professor CREU CASAS i SICART (1913-2007)

Creu Casas i Sicart, Professor Emeritus at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Catalonia, and a member of the Insti­tute of Catalan Studies (IEC) since 1978, died at the advanced yet still active age of 94 in Bellaterra on 20 May 2007, after a brief illness. She was unquestionably the most prominent bota­nist in the field of bryological research (mosses, liverworts, and hornworts) covering the entire Iberian Peninsula and Balearic Islands in the past 50 years. She also served as the president (1980-1982) of one of the most prestigious affiliates of our in­ stitute, the Catalan Institution of Natural History

El papel y el impacto del tutor en el Aprendizaje Basado en Problemas: una revisión de la evidencia empírica

Este artículo pretende estudiar el impacto del tutor de ABP en los aprendizajes de los estudiantes de educación superior mediante la revisión de los estudios empríricos publicados. El análisis se desarrolla sobre tres ejes el rendimiento de los grupos de trabajo; sus dinámicas y funcionamiento interno; y la percepción y el grado de satisfacción de los estudiantes frente a la tutoría , y se concluye con una reflexión sobre el papel que debería jugar el tutor de ABP de acuerdo con la noción de «congruencia cognitiva» de H. G. Schmidt y J. H. Moust.

La importància del tutor dins l'aula inclusiva: Estratègies metodològiques i organitzatives que es troben a les aules inclusives

Actualment, la inclusió a les escoles és molt important. Tots els infants han de sentir-se acollits dins de l’escola, ha de ser un espai segur, afectiu i de confiança per a ells, no hi ha d’haver exclusions. Les escoles inclusives han de respondre a la diversitat de les necessitats de tots els infants, i per aconseguir-ho, cal modificar continguts, estratègies,etc. És a dir, cal una mirada nova davant l’educació. Aquest estudi té com a objectiu investigar la importància que té el tutor dins l’aula inclusiva, també es pretén investigar quines estratègies metodològiques i organitzatives té per atendre a la diversitat. L’estudi es durà a terme mitjançant un estudi de cas realitzat a una aula de P-5.

A pesquisa como perspectiva de formação continuada do professor de química

The education of a chemistry teacher is not being seen as a specific preparation for the exercise of a professional activity, which differs from the professional activity of a chemist or a chemistry researcher. This happens because in the academic field, mainly in the exact and natural sciences, the idea that knowing a determined subject is enough to be able to teach it, is tacitly accepted. This is, actually, the first condition to be able to be a university professor. There is another necessary condition for competent teaching: to have specific professional knowledege of teaching. I defend that this knowledge can be constitued in the interaction with other professionals in the form of research. Thus, as a chemist constitutes himself through the research in the interaction with other chemists, the teacher develops himself in this professional field in the interaction with other teachers and the permanent attitude of researching.

Químicos brasileiros esquecidos Adelino Leal: um professor que ensinava no laboratório

Chemistry is a experimental science and should be taught emphasizing the experimental work at laboratories. Brazilian teachers either in secondary level teaching as well at University gave minor attention in laboratory experiments as a tool to improve the quality of the teaching. Adelino Leal published a monograph in 1926 which emphasizes the experimental work in the teaching of Chemistry. The French chemist Jungfleisch had a important influence in the Adelino Leal's work and was the main reference for both his work and published books.

Diferentes olhares acerca dos conhecimentos necessários na formação inicial do professor de Química

This study investigated different understandings about the educational needs of a professor of Chemistry, related to "know" and "know-how". It was verified the convergence and divergence of perceptions of high school students from that point to literature and education legislation. The research was conducted in five states in northern Brazil. The results show the little dialogue between training institutions and secondary schools, since the different understandings about the training needs go in opposite directions.

Preceptor, supervisor, tutor e mentor: quais são seus papéis?

Sempre houve uma preocupação com a preparação daqueles que cuidam da saúde da população. Na educação médica, a figura de um profissional experiente, que auxilia na formação, é uma constante. No decorrer dos tempos até hoje, esse profissional vem recebendo diferentes denominações, entre as quais preceptor, supervisor, tutor e mentor. No Brasil, mesmo em documentos oficiais, não ficam claras as funções, intervenções e atividades ligadas a cada um desses termos. Procuramos, então, analisar o significado dessas diferentes denominações usadas pela comunidade científica nacional e internacional. A partir da análise do conceito que cada uma delas expressa, pretendemos construir uma melhor fundamentação das regulações e práticas de ensino-aprendizagem na graduação e pós-graduação em saúde.
