Taking the international spotlight: Pauline Hanson and Pauline Hanson's One Nation Party

Pauline Hanson's One Nation Party (PHONP) held an extraordinary place in the Australian and international media from March 1996, when Hanson was elected to the House of Representatives. Hanson's role as a charismatic leader idolised by supporters is unprecedented in postwar Australian politics and the leader and the party were totally identified, with Hanson's name incorporated into that of the organisation when PHONP won 11 of the 89 seats in the Queensland Legislative Assembly in June 1998.

A ATUAÇÃO DOS EVANGÉLICOS NA ASSEMBLÉIA LEGISLATIVA DE SÃO PAULO DE 1945 A 2010

O protestantismo brasileiro, desde a sua inserção em meados do século XIX, alcançou atualmente, de maneira inquestionável e inegável, grande visibilidade religiosa e política. Esta pesquisa ocupa-se desse universo, especificamente da atuação política dos evangélicos por meio de deputados estaduais na Assembléia Legislativa de São Paulo de 1945 a 2010. Foram descritos os projetos de lei de uma amostra significativa de parlamentares evangélicos paulistas com o objetivo de analisar a sua pertinência ou alcance social, ou seja, correlacioná-los com o contexto socioeconômico e cultural da população paulista em geral e, particularmente, com a população carente. Para tanto, nos servimos do Centro de Informação e Documentação do Palácio 9 de Julho que resguarda a biblioteca legislativa de São Paulo com documentos, livros, publicações, atas. A questão formulada se expressa nos seguintes termos: Em que medida os projetos de lei dos parlamentares evangélicos têm caráter assistencialista e clientelista. A fundamentação teórica utilizada vale-se dos conceitos de representação ou delegação política, habitus, campo, capital, poder simbólico de Pierre Bourdieu, aplicando-os na compreensão do campo político paulista e, especificamente, na práxis dos deputados evangélicos paulistas. A cidadania brasileira está historicamente em construção e as causas dessa inconclusão residem no período colonial brasileiro e seus desdobramentos dos períodos históricos subseqüentes. As implicações dessa análise desembocaram na constatação da instituição do clientelismo, assistencialismo, patrimonialismo como derivados de uma política paternalista do Estado brasileiro, das elites dominantes e particularmente do estado de São Paulo que perduram nos dias hodiernos.

BIO-BIBLIOGRAPHY OF (AS) Benefactors (AS) OF THE COUNTRY AND CITIZENS (AS) 1847-2008 HONOR

Today's society called information society, grows rapidly and undergoes changes in the sources of information under the Information Technology and Communication ("tics"), in this situation it is necessary to develop tools or reference sources that allow the (to) user (a) the accessibility and use of information. It systematized information on the Meritorious Citizen of the Fatherland and Honor that is Costa Rica, since 1847 to 2008, due to its contribution to culture, science, recreation, among others. The overall objective of this research was to make a work print and digital reference, which will collect each of the biographies and works written by (as) Benefactors (as) of the country and citizens (as) of Honor and to facilitate access to information and strengthen outreach conducted by the Library "Victor Manuel Sanabria Martínez" of the Legislature, through its publications, exhibitions and related activities, to publicize its documentary. The variables used for this investigation were:-sources (primary and secondary), Organization of information - tools in various documentation centers and libraries. This was carried out a questionnaire, which was structured in the Excel program, aimed at (as) directors (as) or officers (as) in different libraries and documentation centers, and visits to selected sites for search and selection information. It is important to spread this final graduation in different public and school libraries in the country, since history and culture rescues national, who gave identity to the Costa Rican people. The systematization made by a thematic CD-ROM, provide accessibility to all (as) the (as) citizens (as) who access the Internet through the website of the Legislative Assembly Library and other state institutions wishing through a hyperlink on your "web", to refer the same.
