Identificação de áreas de risco na região urbana do município de Guaratinguetá, SP, quanto à ocorrência de inundações e processos erosivos

The city of Guaratinguetá, SP, presents in its history, several instances of property damage and human losses, conditional on the event of flooding and mass movement of soil, resulting from the development of erosion processes. The extent and severity of these events that affect humans and their properties is the result of the illegal occupation of these areas as potential geohazard. Thus, it is of great importance to physical characterization and identification of such areas within the map of the same city as a way to minimize the effects and mitigate the consequences of these events. Thus, this graduate report presents a series of field campaigns, geotechnical laboratory testing, consultation with maps and satellite images, representative of the physical environment, and the city plan as a means conclusive for the delimitation of risk areas with potential for occurrence of erosion and / or flooding on the map representing the urban area of Guaratinguetá, SP. Also featured are the descriptions of the main characteristics of those areas identified as being at risk, along with proposals to avoid or minimize the impact of problems related to flooding and erosion processes on the local population

We aim to contribute to studies on the restructuring of the city with a focus on consumption. In the context where cities become the main place of action of man, a deep set of transformations has occurred. We are interested in understanding the redefinition of the logical production and appropriation of urban spaces for consumption of materials and services. For the analysis of delimitation of those commercial and service areas was made to compare the reality observed on the ground and indirectly through data acquisition and mapping obtained from the National Address List for Statistical Purposes, with the boundaries established by zoning and / or by municipal director plans of the cities studied, together with the classification of commercial establishments and in accordance with the standards of the National Classification of Economic Activities Services. Memória, História e Patrimônio: perspectivas comtemporâneas da pesquisa histórica

It should be noted that the studies for some time been considering the historical importance of objects and space as components of memory - or “places of memory” in the words of Pierre Nora. The memory would thus be defi ned as an imaginary dimension of society, a mental universe that acquires and social substance that creates the individual with a “social whole” in an open line of work by M. Halbwachs. And this notion of memory allows us to grasp the question sheet. This cult of memory had its place also rise through the delimitation of national heritage - as Françoise Choay, since the establishment of categories of historical monuments in France in 1837. The discussion on equity has progressed in recent decades, as it is conceived as objects, spaces, knowledge and events become “intangible heritage” because it has reference value to the community. It is considered that the references are the property constituting the objects of memory formation, forms of work-life past or present. Anyway, heritage presents itself as the embodiment of a discourse about the past.

Os primeiros trabalhos de Merleau-Ponty: convergência filosófica e diplopia metodológica

The discussion of different themes revealed in the initial works of Merleau-Ponty, which are especially relevant in debates on the foundations of psychology, demands a closer look at the strategically complicity, from a psychological viewpoint, between The Structure of Behavior and the Phenomenology of perception. That context constitutes the background for this article. Based on the prerogative of this complicity, the goal is to present a reading that highlights primordial issues to outline the philosophical intention of that author. Despite the use of distinct methodological perspectives, both are part of one single work project. They fit into the discussion of Cartesian antinomies in philosophy and depart from the delimitation of the same problem, i.e. that of perception, as a point of integration between the two fundamental orders of Descartes’ thinking: the soul and the body.
