This study aims to analyze concepts and practices developed by nurses in occupational health in primary care, and it is justified by the need to expand knowledge of this thematic area. This is an analytical qualitative study carried out in primary care units of health districts of the city of Natal-RN, in one health unit in each neighborhood. Data collection was held from August to October 2014, through semistructured interviews, in the following order: Selection of respondents and scheduling of interview; interviews and application of data collection instrument in order to trace socio-demographic profile of the target population; transcription of interviews; categorization of information and analysis in light of hermeneutic-dialectic. The concept of Occupational Health reported by subjects investigated, although simplified with respect to specificities of workers, was revealed with a wide dimension, with perspective of workers’ approach in their physical, mental and social context, suggesting a good seizure according to the expanded concept of health. Furthermore, it was possible to affirm the recognition of an incipient performance of primary care nurses on Occupational Health, whose performance was appointed as defective. In general, some specific actions of Occupational Health, carried out in health facilities, were cited. Other activities showed up to be routine, being held by a minority of professionals aware of the importance and need to reach these users, in order to engage them in the routine of the health unit. Most professionals reported not having approached Occupational Health during undergraduate nursing, highlighting a lack in theoretical and practical aspects of the area

This study analyzed the Worker’s Healthy Eating Program in Rio Grande do Norte state (RN) to assess its possible impact on the nutritional status of the workers benefitted. To that end, we conducted a cross-sectional observational prospective study based on a multistage stratified random sample comparing 26 small and medium-sized companies from the Manufacturing Sector (textiles, food and beverages, and nonmetallic minerals) of RN, divided into two equal groups (WFP and Non WFP). Interviews were conducted at each company by trained interviewers from Tuesday to Saturday between September and December 2014. Data were collected on the company (characterization and information regarding the program’s desired results) and workers (personal and professional information, anthropometrics, health, lifestyle and food consumed the previous day). Population estimates were calculated for RN on the characteristics of workers and the study variables. The main variable was BMI. The secondary variables were waist circumference (WC), nutritional diagnosis, calorie intake, blood pressure, metabolic variables and lifestyle indicators. The statistical method used was hierarchical mixed effects linear regression for interval variables and hierarchical mixed effects logistic regression for binary variables. The variables measured in ordinal scales were analyzed by ordinal logistic regression adjusted for correlated variables, adopting robust standard errors. The results for interval variables are presented as point estimates and their 95% confidence intervals; and as odds-ratios and their 95% confidence intervals for binary variables. The Fisher’s exact and Student’s t-tests were used for simple comparisons between proportions and means, respectively. Differences were considered statistically significant at p<0.05. A total of 1069 workers were interviewed, of which 541 were from the WFP group and 528 from the Non WFP group. Subjects were predominantly males and average age was 34.5 years. Significant intergroup differences were observed for schooling level, income above 1 MW (minimum wage) and specific training for their position at the company. The results indicated a significant difference between the BMI of workers benefitted, which was on average 0.989 kg/m2 higher than the BMI of workers from the Non WFP group (p=0.002); and between the WC, with the waist circumference of WFP group workers an average of 1.528 cm larger (p<0.05). Higher prevalence of overweight and obesity (p<0.001) and cardiovascular risk (p=0.038) were recorded in the WFP group. Tests on the possible effect of the WFP on health (blood pressure and metabolic indicators) and lifestyle indicators (smoking, alcohol consumption and exercise) were not significant. With respect to worker’s diets, differences were significant for consumption of saturated fat (lunch and daily intake), salt (lunch, other meals and daily intake) and proteins (other meals and daily intake), with higher consumption of these nutrients in the WFP group. The study showed a possible positive impact of the WFP on nutritional status (BMI and WC) among the workers benefitted. No possible effects of the program were observed for the lifestyle indicators studied. Workers benefitted consumed less salt, saturated fat and protein. The relevance of the WFP is recognized for this portion of society and it is understood that, if the program can reach and impact those involved, the development of educational initiatives aimed at nutritional and food safety may also exert a positive influence.

The purpose of this thesis is to analyze how João Café Filho constituted a discourse of advocate of the labor movement and workers in different sociability spaces. It is intended to understand, on one hand, how political relations were established between different categories of workers and the ‘middle classes’ and, on the other hand, how places were instituted to house the meeting of these relations. It a ims to understand the insertion of Café Filho in union activities in the urban world. It demonstrates specificities of the political culture in Natal emphasizing the dispute between a city politically ruled by a still reigning rural paternalistic mentality and the rise of a new way to experience the urban conflicts which appeared. Temporally, the work is delimited between 1922 (proclaimed by Café Filho himself as the initial period of his political action) and 1937 (when he broke up with Vargas and went into exile in Argentina). The research was constituted by three main document types: several published newspapers between the decades of 1920 and 1930 in the cities of Natal, Recife, São Paulo, Porto Alegre and Rio de Janeiro; the autobiographical memoirs written by Café Filho himself and memoirs of other people who lived in his time. The main pillars that have supported the work were: the concepts of society and individuals (ELIAS, 1994; 1995), political cultures (BERSTEIN, 1998) and theater of the memory (GOMES, 2004); the sociability spaces category (CERTEAU, 1994; MALATIAN, 2001; RIOX, 1996); the biography notion (DOSSE, 2009; LORIGA, 2011). We demonstrated that Café Filho acted in some sociability spaces as: the Jornal do Norte, the Federação Regional do Trabalho and the Partido Democrático Nacional. In such spaces, Café Filho, gradually, become an important leader of workers and, at the same time, linked to national entities led to the opposition that fight against the power established in the Brazilian First Republic. In Café Filho’s interpretation, workers were individuals who needed to fight against the political structures prevailing at that time because the poor living conditions and the low representativeness of this group were caused by the way the political system in the First Republic was structured. After the 1930 Movement, the 3 de Outubro Club, the Jornal and the Labor Federation of Natal were constituted in spaces where the cafeista critical discourse about the government was changed: workers should follow the official syndicalism and defend the 1930 Movement which put Vargas in the presidency of the Republic.

O regime jurídico do trabalhador estudante promove a formação contínua do trabalhador através da compatibilização do estudo com o desenvolvimento da sua atividade profissional. No âmbito do referido regime encontram-se previstos diversos benefícios que o trabalhador estudante pode usufruir, se preencher os requisitos para a sua atribuição. Com este trabalho pretendemos analisar os direitos e deveres presentes no regime jurídico do trabalhador estudante português, espanhol e italiano e, consequentemente, compreender que implicações podem surgir na prestação da atividade laboral. Não podemos olvidar, contudo, que a consagração do regime do trabalhador estudante tem consequências na organização da atividade laboral da empresa, visto que o referido regime implica, na maioria das vezes, uma ausência do trabalhador do seu local de trabalho, o que nos levará a uma tentativa de encontrar um novo paradigma para a atribuição de benefícios ao trabalhador estudante, no qual tentamos consagrar não só direitos para o trabalhador mas também para a empresa.

A forma reiterada com que o despedimento afeta os trabalhadores, a declarada fragilidade do Sistema de Segurança Social que assume as prestações decorrentes desta eventualidade e o avolumar dos processos judiciais laborais decorrentes do despedimento ilícito, são três dos vetores fulcrais que concorrem para a elaboração do nosso estudo. Destarte, importa não só ter presente as formas de cessação da relação laboral, mas também as suas causas e consequências, por forma a estabelecermos uma conexão clara com a litigiosidade associada a esta desvinculação de cariz tão pessoal. Aludiremos diacronicamente ao Sistema de Segurança Social, e deter-nos-emos nos requisitos de acesso ao subsídio de desemprego. Desta forma poderemos perceber se o trabalhador que foi alvo de despedimento tem, ou não, direito àquela prestação social. É nosso desiderato capital percecionar o que sucede quando, tendo o trabalhador tido acesso ao subsídio de desemprego após o despedimento, alcance acordo com o empregador em sede de audiência de partes.

Numa sociedade hodierna caraterizada por uma crescente e, aparentemente, irreversível globalização assistimos a um fluxo migratório de trabalhadores que escolhem países que não o seu de origem para desenvolver a sua atividade profissional. Este fluxo vem promover o aumento da diversidade de culturas nos países de acolhimento, diversidade que se alarga a um contexto religioso. Pese embora a laicidade formal do Estado Português, bem como da generalidade dos Estados europeus, a legislação laboral interna não consegue, por si só, estabelecer uma proteção adequada a todas as religiões, nomeadamente as minoritárias, o que nos levou a abordar esta questão analisando a proteção dada pela Convenção Europeia dos Direitos do Homem, como instrumento solene de proclamação de Direitos Humanos, e o subsequente tratamento jurisprudencial do Tribunal Europeu dos Direitos do Homem no que tange à liberdade religiosa dos trabalhadores. Através da análise dos diversos casos levados até ao Tribunal de Estrasburgo, cumpre, por um lado, aferir da eficácia da legislação existente e, por outro, e com o respeito da mesma, perceber até que ponto pode a liberdade religiosa de um trabalhador ceder aquando da celebração de um contrato de trabalho ou até onde deve um empregador ajustar a sua organização em respeito à liberdade religiosa dos seus trabalhadores nas suas diversas manifestações. Nesse sentido, analisaremos alguns casos de âmbito juslaboral em que as restrições impostas aos trabalhadores consubstanciam eventuais violações da sua liberdade religiosa nas mais diversas manifestações, nomeadamente, quanto a questões de índole religiosa atinentes a vestuário, horários ou alimentação entre outras.

Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo analisar a percepção dos empregadores acerca do desempenho do Posto de Atendimento ao Trabalhador (PAT) das cidades de Bragança Paulista,Atibaia e Itatiba. Consiste num levantamento de campo realizado com uma amostra de 100 clientes empresas. Conclui-se que os PATs são identificados com a intermediação de mão de obra pouco qualificada, já que a maioria dos candidatos que os procuram são pessoas de baixa renda e baixo nível de escolaridade. Esse fato pode estar indicando deficiência dos PATs, que não são reconhecidos pelas empresas como entidades adequadas para o suprimento de suas necessidades de pessoal nos mais diversos níveis. Mas pode também estar indicando a relevância social dos serviços dos PATs, já que para grandes contingentes de trabalhadores,eles constituem o principal, senão o único elo com o mercado de trabalho.

Contexto: O estudo da Satisfação Profissional (SP) é um tema actual que tem despertado a atenção de vários investigadores. Sendo um tema bastante complexo, os investigadores têm procurado compreender as diversas determinantes da SP, considerando que só dessa forma os gestores das organizações estarão em condições de desenvolver estratégias que promovam o nível de satisfação dos seus colaboradores. Objetivos: Identificar quais os factores que contribuem para a SP da amostra. Método: O estudo teve por base uma bateria de três questionários, de administração direta, aplicados aos trabalhadores de duas fábricas da região centro. Para avaliar a SP recorreu-se ao “Job Discriptive Index” (JDI) adaptado à população portuguesa por Jesuíno, Sockza e Matoso (1983), e à Escala de Satisfação Organizacional, desenvolvida por Jorge Vala e colaboradores (1995). Para apurar as caraterísticas sociodemográficas da amostra fez-se uso ainda de um questionário construído pelos autores do estudo para o efeito. A amostra final é constituída por trabalhadores de duas empresas (N=52) - 24 da empresa “P” e 28 da empresa “B”, num total de 48 homens (92,3%) e 4 mulheres (7,7%), com prevalência de idades entre 31-40 anos (32,7%). O estudo teve a duração de dois semestres, e desenvolvido em quatro fases distintas: Fase conceptual, metodológica, Empírica e Reflexiva1. Resultados: Os resultados demonstram que a SP é mais influenciada por factores de ordem profissional e socioprofissionais, nomeadamente: relacionamento do trabalhador com a chefia, relacionamento do trabalhador com os colegas do mesmo nível, perspetivas de promoção, tempo de serviço e o tipo de vínculo contratual. Dos factores sociodemográficos, verificamos que a idade e o estado civil exercem influência moderada sobre a satisfação. Conclusão: Os resultados obtidos devem ser analisados como preliminares, passíveis de serem confirmados no futuro. Com este estudo foi possível concluir que a maioria dos trabalhadores das empresas em estudo (75%) se sente satisfeita, em oposição a 25% dos casos que afirma sentir-se insatisfeito em relação ao seu trabalho. / Context: The study of the Professional Satisfaction (PS) is an actual theme that has aroused the attention of different investigators. Being a complex theme, the investigators have trying to understand the diversity of PS determinants, considering that approach, the only way to the managers being able to develop strategies to elevate the satisfaction level of the collaborators. Goals: Identify what factors contributes to the PS of the sample Method: As support, the study had a group of three direct implementation questionnaires applied to the workers of two factories from the area. To evaluate the PS we resort to the “Job Descriptive Index” (JDI) adapted to the Portuguese Population by Jesuíno, Sockza and Matoso (1983) and to the Organizational Satisfaction Scale, developed by Jorge Vala and his collaborators (1995). To settle the socio demographic characteristics of the sample it was used another questionnaire elaborated by the authors of the study to achieve those characteristics. The final sample is constituted by workers of two factories (N=52), 24 of them from the factory “P” and the other ones (28) of the factory “B”, resulting in a total of 48 males (92,3%) and 4 females (7,7%) mostly with an age average between 31 and 40 years (32,7%) The study had the duration of two semesters and it was developed in four distinct phases, the first one, the conceptual phase, the second one, the methodological, the third one, the empirical and the last one, the reflexive phase. Results: The results show us that factors like professional order and socio professionals as the relations between employers and managers, between employers at the same level, promotional expectations, service time and the different types of contract have influences over the PS. Above the social demographic factors the study verifies that factors like age and marital status have a moderate influence above PS. Conclusion: The achieved results must be analyzed as preliminaries since they have to be confirmed in the future. With this study it was possible to conclude that the majority of the studied workers in the factories (75%) feel satisfied and the remaining 25% of the cases says unsatisfied in his relation to work.

The evaluation of public policies that promote Food Security and Nutrition (FSN) it s a multidisciplinary activity extremely relevant to the effectiveness of actions to legitimize the Human Right to Adequate Food (HRAF). This study aimed at assessing the effectiveness of the unit project Natal-RN Café do Trabalhador in promoting SAN to its users. The theoretical framework is based on the public and political and on the dimensions of the concept of FSN (quantity and quality-regularity). Through a qualitative approach, methodologically this was the work of an evaluation of efficiency of the unit Natal-RN of Café do Trabalhador project in light of the assumptions of the concept of SAN. Data collection was conducted through retrospective archival research in official documents of the project, semi-structured interviews with managers involved in its implementation (representative of the Secretary of State for Employment, Housing and Care of RN SETHAS and third party), socioeconomic questionnaire applied to the users of the unit, check the amount, regularity and quality of meals offered for 15 days (menu routine) using the descriptive form menu and form filling type checklist for verification of compliance with good practices . Methods of analysis, we used content analysis, descriptive statistics and compared to previously established parameters for the project. As categories of analysis were defined organizational arrangement, access, user, food quantity-regularity and food quality. The results show that, it was found in the category arrangement that will implement the project dismissed technical criteria for choosing the districts and the quantitative distribution of meals for each location. It was found that the valuation of the shares of the company outsources technical SETHA has not been performed. We observed in the access category, the unit has a strategic location, but lack of space in the refectory. The main obstacle to economic access for users is the lack of a register for the beneficiaries. In the category of users, it was identified that the clientele of the project it is predominantly men, with more than 51 years, low education, earning wages less 1 obtained through informal employment, which they move up through the unit transport collective, go to all days of operation due primarily to price. About the meals category quantity-regularity of food showed that the menu serves 95% of the desired needs, and that holidays and weekends are periods of disrupting the regularity of supply of meals. Regarding the category of food quality, it was found that the nutritional aspect on the menu are food sources rich in sodium, nitrates and low in fiber. In the aspect of hygiene and sanitation are the main limitations related to waste management, lack of exposure controls of food prepared and inadequacies of the physical structure. The results showed that in general and the institutional arrangement of the organs attached to the project should establish a systematic evaluation project is to establish as a promoter of and FSN overcome these obstacles

Neste módulo trataremos da dimensão trabalho, importante no processo de saúde e doença de grande parte dos homens e mulheres ao longo do ciclo da vida. Para tanto, procuraremos aproximá-los das principais discussões do campo da saúde dos trabalhadores. Fundamentalmente serão apresentados os conceitos de trabalho, as características mais marcantes do cenário do mundo do trabalho, o perfil epidemiológico, político institucional e legal da saúde dos trabalhadores no Brasil. Serão abordadas, ainda, as atribuições da equipe de saúde da família no campo da saúde dos trabalhadores e as ferramentas utilizadas pela equipe para implementação de ações de promoção, proteção, assistência e vigilância a saúde dos trabalhadores. Também serão abordados os agravos que mais comumente levam os trabalhadores a buscar atendimento na atenção básica.

As situações de risco presentes no ambiente de trabalho modificam o padrão de saúde da população da mesma forma que os processos de produção podem alterar as condições ambientais. Este módulo foi elaborado com o objetivo principal de provocar reflexões sobre a relação trabalho, saúde e ambiente, contextualizando os principais cenários vivenciados na realidade brasileira e incorporando a atuação dos profissionais das equipes de Saúde da Família. Assim, vemos que é importante compreender as interrelações do ambiente com os processos de produção, do trabalhador com a produção e com o ambiente, para então conhecer como este dinamismo pode afetar a saúde do ser humano e dos ecossistemas.

Este objeto inicia oferecendo um link para conhecer a história sobre a vigilância em saúde do trabalhador. Explica que segurança do trabalho é a parte da engenharia que trata de reconhecer, avaliar e controlar as condições, atos e fatores humanos de insegurança nos ambientes de trabalho, com o intuito de evitar acidentes e que no sistema de saúde brasileiro existem duas formas de prover a atenção à saúde dos trabalhadores: a rede pública, com os programas e centros de referência em saúde do trabalhador; e a rede privada, constituída por: Serviços Especializados em Engenharia de Segurança e Medicina do Trabalho (SESMT). Segue contextualizando a prevenção das perdas como o uso de Equipamento de Proteção Individual e Equipamento de Proteção Coletiva e os programas de treinamento das empresas para os trabalhadores. Aborda a implantação da Rede Nacional de Atenção Integral à Saúde do Trabalhador (RENAST) que é composta por Centros Estaduais e Regionais de Referência em Saúde do Trabalhador (CEREST) e por uma Rede Sentinela de serviços de média e alta complexidade, responsáveis por diagnosticar acidentes e doenças relacionados ao trabalho e pelo registro no Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação (SINAN-NET). Explica ainda como funcionam as Redes de atenção à saúde do trabalhador e as diferenças entre o RENAST e o CEREST. Termina abordando a legislação brasileira sobre Trabalho Infantil, porém ressaltando que de acordo com o IBGE, cerca de 91% das crianças de 5 a 9 anos, 72% das crianças de 10 a 14 anos e 33% dos jovens de 15 a 17 anos não recebem remuneração pelos trabalhos que desempenham. Unidade 4 do módulo 16 que compõe o Curso de Especialização em Saúde da Família.
