Vozes femininas da poesia latino-americana: Cecília e as poetisas uruguaias

É a partir de uma perspectiva de dupla revisão que Vozes femininas da poesia latino-americana: Cecília e as poetisas uruguaias ressalta um outro perfil da escritora brasileira Cecília Meireles: a de grande estudiosa e conhecedora da produção de autoria feminina latino-americana. O livro tem como ponto de partida o ensaio ceciliano intitulado Expressão feminina da poesia na América, que corresponde a uma conferência proferida no ano de 1956, na Universidade do Brasil, e que apresenta um panorama da expressão lírica feminina na América hispânica. As poetisas mencionadas por Cecília Meireles em seu texto, embora desempenhem um importante papel no cenário da produção poética de seus respectivos países, nem sempre integram a historiografia tradicional canônica; injustiça que o ensaio ceciliano corrige. Para mostrar a importância desse texto ceciliano em relação aos estudos feministas na América Latina são realizados alguns comentários sobre a crítica literária feminista, bem como acerca da vasta produção da autora de Romanceiro da Inconfidência. Além disso, estabelece-se um diálogo entre a escritora brasileira e as poetisas hispano-americanas. O livro demonstra o comprometimento de Cecília Meireles com a escrita feminina no contexto sóciocultural latino-americano

O acento em tupi antigo

O objetivo deste trabalho é estudar a lírica tupi de Pe. José de Anchieta, discutindo a possibilidade de análise do acento da língua tupi antiga, via métrica adotada pelo autor em seus poemas. De toda a sua obra poética, 18 poemas foram escritos inteiramente em língua tupi, 10 deles servindo como corpus para esta pesquisa. Como aporte teórico para essa análise foi utilizada a Fonologia não-linear - mais precisamente a Teoria Métrica de Hayes (1995) - e um modelo de abordagem baseado em Massini-Cagliari (1995,1999 e aorientações na área) para com o português arcaico. As poesias em enfoque foram observadas em várias versões da obra disponíveis (Anchieta 1954, 1984, 2004). Para a base do estudo tupi, foram utilizadas as gramáticas de Anchieta (1933) e Lemos Barbosa (1956), além de livros e textos de Navarro (2006a, 2006b) e Ayron Rodrigues (1958)

Traços decadentistas na poesia de Camilo Pessanha e Al Berto

This monograph aims contribute to point out the presence of technical procedures, formal and thematic elements, typical of the Symbolist/Decadentism aesthetic in lyric poetry of Al Berto (1948-1997), using the Camilo Pessanha’s (1867-1926) work as tool to comparison. To achieve this goal, we analyze the corpus selected for research, consisting of three Pessanha’s poems taken from the book that brings together his work, Clepsidra, “Caminho I”, “Caminho II” e “[Depois das bodas de oiro]”, and three poems of Al Berto, taken from the book O Medo, which is the combination of his work too: “Os dias sem ninguém - 4”, “Doze moradas de silêncio – I” and “[no exíguo espaço do corpo ou da casa]”. Through the comparison between the analysis of the poems from Al Berto and Camilo Pessanha it was found resemblances, in fact, - and obviously some differences - between both. Furthermore, it was verified that Al Berto, a contemporary poet, rescues numerous traits of the decadent aesthetic, whose Camilo Pessanha is one of the greatest representatives

A poética de Paulo Henriques Britto

A partir de uma seleção de dezesseis poemas metalinguísticos dos livros Liturgia da Matéria (1982), Mínima Lírica (1989), Trovar Claro (1997), Macau (2003), Tarde (2007) e Formas do Nada (2012) pretendeu-se chegar ao que se chama aqui de A Poética de Paulo Henriques Britto. Tal poética compreende as características e temas mais frequentes em sua poesia, bem como quais recursos expressivos são mais evidentes em cada um dos livros. Paulo Henriques Britto, tradutor, professor e escritor com sete livros publicados (sendo um deles de contos), lançou seu primeiro livro de poesias, Liturgia da Matéria, em 1982 e vem ganhando destaque no cenário da poesia brasileira contemporânea. Em 2004 ganhou um dos maiores prêmios literários do Brasil, o Prêmio Portugal Telecom, com o livro Macau lançado em 2003. Pretende-se que o estudo aqui feito acerca da poesia de Britto não fique restrito a si, mas que traga contribuições para a crítica da poesia brasileira contemporânea, já que ainda se carece de uma quantidade de material critico relevante, o que muitas vezes dificulta o ensino e a aprendizagem de tal poesia. Assim, a análise da poesia metalinguística de Paulo Henriques Britto pretende descobrir, em parte, quais os novos rumos que a produção de poesia tomou no Brasil. No poema Em silêncio descobri essa cidade no mapa, inserido em A máquina lírica (1964), Herberto Helder desenha um contra mapa desnorteante com as palavras, que pulalam na travessia da escrita, deslocando-se incessantemente e ocupando diferentes posições nos versos. A proliferação dos vocábulos que se cruzam em novas combinações dão origem aos fios cambiantes que se dobram, redobram e desdobram-se no tecido da linguagem que objetivamos desfiar neste trabalho.

Discurso constelar e contingência: a pregnância de Mallarmé

The aim of this article is to discuss Mallarmé‘s poem A throw of dice, establishing some theoretical interfaces among Jakobson‘s reading, Lacan‘s psychoanalysis and some elements from the French discourse analysis. The poem, considered a milestone of modern poetry, has already engendered various discourses about itself, what allows us to consider it here a permanent invention, or yet, a throw of dice in eternal whirl. Attentive to the roaring of such discourses, and available for listening the theory that contributes to the poem‘s critical analysis, the reading herein engaged bets on the profit that the Mallarmé‘s poem study carries, for the perception of contemporary poetry, which inherited from him the double-sided lyrical coin: high revision of the possibilities of invention and very strong metalanguage.

Os deslimites da poesia e os reflexos do mundo: uma leitura de No banheiro um espelho trincado

Lyric poetry is where the relationships between world perception, language and representation are mostly problematized. In fact, poetic creation oscillates between the desire of a realistic expression of the world, beings and things and the understanding that its urgent task is simply to reinvent the world order and denaturalize it. Thus, Sérgio Mello’s poems in No Banheiro um Espelho Trincado (2004) conceive a poetry mainly concerned on the tension between words and things; between the lyric subject and the world; between language and the reality it encloses, through groups of images that range from the natural to the rupture process. His poems are small pieces of narrative, scenes that are articulated through the cutting technique, like the process of a cinematographic edition.

This study presents a brief reflection on the genesis of literary genres in Ancient Greece. It is intended here, in the first place, take us off this "comfort zone" when we talk about "Greek literature" in antiquity, at least from the period of Homer until the fifth century. B.C. , moment when, in fact, the writing has become stable not only in the continent but spreads out reaching the Italian peninsula and generating what we have today as the Roman alphabet. Therefore, we examine some terms that appear to be so clear for us which termed other doings, such as poetry, poem, among others. We also examine issues concerning the epic, lyrical and dramatic poetry.

As vogais postônicas do século XIII: um olhar sobre a escrita da época

This work aims to obtain a phonological description of unstressed word-final vowels of Medieval Portuguese (MP). The corpus of this research is comprised of Alfonso X’s Cantigas de Santa Maria, composed on the second half of the 13th century. This work maps all the graphemes that represent, in the corpus considered, the unstressed word-final vowels. From the analyses of writing and rhymes in Alfonso X’s Cantigas de Santa Maria, it was possible obtain some important information about the realization of the unstressed wordfinal vowels in MP.

Este artigo objetiva, a partir de estudos de Antonio Candido voltados para a poesia lírica, rastrear o pensamento estético e crítico-teórico do autor sobre a matéria, bem como avaliar sua prática analítica do texto poético. Tal prática, coerente com o postulado na vasta obra do autor, ancora-se em dois eixos principais: o “árcade/ romântico” (voltado para o período formativo da literatura brasileira) e o “modernista” (que enfatiza a consolidação plena de nossa literatura).

O poético alinhave de Murilo Mendes: o poeta, a musa e a metapoesia em As Metamorfoses

Lying under the contribution of a display of characteristics with multiple meanings (Catholicism, Surrealism, unite of contraries, and the dialogue with other types of art), Murilo Mendes focalizes some subjects that are made to become appealing in his works. Some of these subjects appear in his 1945’s poetry book, As metamorfoses, the object of analysis in this present work: the poet’s figure, insert in the historical view of the World War II and by the poet devastated; the muse’s figure, carrier of the sacred and the profane, whose body represents a repository of descriptions with surrealistic meanings, that is shown indistinctly as the poetry itself; and, concluding, the poetry (or the metapoetry) expressed in this context (historical and literary). Therefore, we intend to search, based in the analysis of poems, how each of this instances are configured inside the poetic universe of Murilo Mendes, with the intention of enlighten the constitution of the sewing made of them by the poet from Juiz de Fora; instances that are very precious when we deal with the poetry that gives to his writings the patent feature of modernity.

Os jogos frutais e o poema: natureza viva; natureza-morta

The (usually rotten) fruit theme or motif is recurring in Ferreira Gullar‟s poetic work (from A luta corporal, 1954, to Em alguma parte alguma, 2010). It can be said that the semantic-metaphoric field comprises metapoetic to political and social issues –expressive aspects in the author‟s trajectory. Thus, starting from the fruit topic which is characteristic of the bucolic-pastoral poetic tradition and tracing its presence in Brazil, this paper aims, by analysing some of Gullar‟s poems, to reflect on the peculiar way the problem is subverted in his lyric.
