Krytyczna refleksja o stanie współczesnej edukacji wczesnoszkolnej – ujęcie porównawcze

In an attempt taken to reconstruct the current issues in the field of early childhood education, what becomes particularly important are the questions related to the way of organizing education in Poland and around the globe, i.e. in diverse cultural environments. The current problems diagnosed can contribute to redefining the goals of the school. Without a recognition of the difficulties, it is impossible to determine the direction of research or an action plan towards an actual, substantial reform of education. In an effort to rebuild schools, it is therefore necessary to create a debate about development trends of education in the twenty-first century in Poland and in the world. The comparative perspective adopted can facilitate outlining a broad and multi-dimensional context decisive for the value of the educational discourse.

Batesonowskie pojęcie „metakomunikacji” w komunikologii historycznej

Celem niniejszego tekstu jest pokazanie, w jaki sposób Batesonowskie pojęcie „metakomunikacji” jest użytecznym punktem wyjścia do analiz prowadzonych nad sposobem uprawiania komunikologii historycznej . Podejmując się analiz z zakresu historii idei komunikacji oraz filozofii komunikacji, natrafiamy na istotny problem badawczy: w jaki sposób można analizować przeszłe sposoby myślenia i komunikowania o komunikacji, jeśli komunikacja jest nieustannym procesem odnoszącym się do samego siebie. Okazuje się, że metodologiczne wyzwanie stojące przed badaczami, którzy piszą historię komunikacji w ramach dyscypliny określanej mianem komunikologii historycznej, może być wsparte rozważaniami Gregorego Batesona na temat procesu metakomunikacji. Dlatego w dalszej części niniejszego tekstu pokazuję, w jaki sposób, korzystając z ustaleń Batesona, rozwijam pojęcie metakomunikacji i aplikuję na gruncie komunikologii historycznej. Myśl Batesona jest niezwykle użyteczna do rozważań metodologicznych i może stanowić punkt wyjścia do budowania nowych narzędzi filozoficznych służących analizowaniu zmian społecznych.

Transatlantyckie Partnerstwo w dziedzinie Handlu i Inwestycji (TTIP) w kontekście europejskiego bezpieczeństwa ekonomicznego

Celem artykułu jest dokonanie charakterystyki Transatlantyckiego Partnerstwa w dziedzinie Handlu i Inwestycji (Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership; TTIP) w szerszym kontekście europejskiego bezpieczeństwa ekonomicznego. Pomysł porozumienia zrodził się w rezultacie fundamentalnych zmian zachodzących współcześnie w gospodarce światowej oraz ich postrzegania w Europie i USA. W tekście stwierdzono, że w zamyśle architektów umowy handlowej główny cel TTIP ma wymiar przede wszystkim geopolityczny, a nie tylko ekonomiczny. Przedstawiono także najważniejsze wnioski, jakie płyną z dotychczas przeprowadzonych analiz dla gospodarki europejskiej, a także zidentyfikowano czynniki, które determinować będą wpływ porozumienia na poszczególne państwa europejskie. W artykule zaprezentowano także możliwe konsekwencje wynikające z wejścia umowy w życie dla Polski. Mogą one być istotne w szczególności dla potencjału rozwojowego polskiej gospodarki oraz bezpieczeństwa ekonomicznego.

Odpowiedzialność za szkodę medyczną wynikającą ze zdarzenia medycznego – pojęcie zdarzenia medycznego

Artykuł dotyczy problematyki pojęcia zdarzenia medycznego, a zatem kwestii wyznaczających przedmiotowy zakres postępowania przed wojewódzką komisją do spraw orzekania o zdarzeniach medycznych. Pojęcie zdarzenia medycznego jest pojęciem normatywnym i zostało ono zdefiniowane w art. 67a ust. 1 ustawy o prawach pacjenta i Rzeczniku Praw Pacjenta. W pierwszej kolejności zostały omówione zagadnienia ogólne dotyczące postępowania przed wojewódzką komisją do spraw orzekania o zdarzeniach medycznych. Dalsze rozważania dotyczą przesłanek rozpoznania sprawy przez wojewódzką komisję. Autorka wyjaśnia znaczenie poszczególnych pojęć ustawowych składających się na pojęcie „zdarzenia medycznego”, tj. terminu: pacjent, zakażenie, biologiczny czynnik chorobotwórczy, uszkodzenie ciała, rozstrój zdrowia, śmierć oraz aktualna wiedza medyczna. W artykule ponadto poruszono istotną problematykę miejsca wystąpienia zdarzenia medycznego, a także podano przykłady zdarzeń medycznych.

Spectrophotometric Evaluation Of Dental Bleaching Under Orthodontic Bracket In Enamel And Dentin.

Aware of the diffusion capacity of bleaching in the dental tissues, many orthodontists are subjecting their patients to dental bleaching during orthodontic treatment for esthetic purposes or to anticipate the exchange of esthetic restorations after the orthodontic treatment. For this purpose specific products have been developed in pre-loaded whitening trays designed to fit over and around brackets and wires, with clinical efficacy proven. The objective of this study was to evaluate, through spectrophotometric reflectance, the effectiveness of dental bleaching under orthodontic bracket. Thirty-two bovine incisors crown blocks of 8 mm x 8 mm height lengths were used. Staining of tooth blocks with black tea was performed for six days. They were distributed randomly into 4 groups (1-home bleaching with bracket, 2- home bleaching without bracket, 3- office bleaching with bracket, 4 office bleaching without bracket). The color evaluation was performed (CIE L * a * b *) using color reflectance spectrophotometer. Metal brackets were bonded in groups 1 and 3. The groups 1 and 2 samples were subjected to the carbamide peroxide at 15%, 4 hours daily for 21 days. Groups 3 and 4 were subjected to 3 in-office bleaching treatment sessions, hydrogen peroxide 38%. After removal of the brackets, the second color evaluation was performed in tooth block, difference between the area under the bracket and around it, and after 7 days to verified color stability. Data analysis was performed using the paired t-test and two-way variance analysis and Tukey's. The home bleaching technique proved to be more effective compared to the office bleaching. There was a significant difference between the margin and center color values of the specimens that were subjected to bracket bonding. The bracket bond presence affected the effectiveness of both the home and office bleaching treatments. Key words:Tooth bleaching, spectrophotometry, orthodontics.

Modelagem matemática e simulação numérica do resfriamento rápido de morango com ar forçado

This work approaches the forced air cooling of strawberry by numerical simulation. The mathematical model that was used describes the process of heat transfer, based on the Fourier's law, in spherical coordinates and simplified to describe the one-dimensional process. For the resolution of the equation expressed for the mathematical model, an algorithm was developed based on the explicit scheme of the numerical method of the finite differences and implemented in the scientific computation program MATLAB 6.1. The validation of the mathematical model was made by the comparison between theoretical and experimental data, where strawberries had been cooled with forced air. The results showed to be possible the determination of the convective heat transfer coefficient by fitting the numerical and experimental data. The methodology of the numerical simulations was showed like a promising tool in the support of the decision to use or to develop equipment in the area of cooling process with forced air of spherical fruits.
