Gold nanoparticle surface functionalization: mixed monolayer versus hetero bifunctional peg linker

To create a clinically relevant gold nanoparticle (AuNP) treatment, the surface must be functionalized with multiple ligands such as drugs, antifouling agents and targeting moieties. However, attaching several ligands of differing chemistries and lengths, while ensuring they all retain their biological functionality remains a challenge. This review compares the two most widely employed methods of surface co-functionalization, namely mixed monolayers and hetero-bifunctional linkers. While there are numerous in vitro studies successfully utilizing both surface arrangements, there is little consensus regarding their relative merits. Animal and preclinical studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of mixed monolayer functionalization and while some promising in vitro results have been reported for PEG linker capped AuNPs, any potential benefits of the approach are not yet fully understood.

A Social Institutionalist Perspective on HR Diffusion: Histrorical and Cultural Receptivity to HRM in a Post-Comminist Context

This research considers cross-national diffusion of international human resource management (IHRM) ideas and practices by applying an emergent frame of sociological conceptualisation – ‘social institutionalism’ (SI). We look at cultural filters to patterns of diffusion, assimilation and adoption of IHRM, using Romania as a case study. The paper considers the former Communist system of employment relations, suggesting that through institutionalisation former ways of thinking continued to influence definitions and practice of people management in post-Communist Eastern Europe. The paper provides a new perspective on HRM by discussing the value of SI as a general model for understanding cross-cultural receptivity to HR ideas, sensitising the HR practitioner and academic to institutionalised culture as a historical legacy influencing receptivity to international management ideas.

Ce volume se trouve à l'abbaye Notre-Dame de Jouarre, située dans le diocèse de Meaux, depuis le XVIIIe siècle, peut-être même la fin du XVe siècle si l'on en croit les anciens inventaires de l'abbaye. Après la Révolution, il a été déposé par Lhoste en 1857 à la Bibliothèque du Grand Séminaire de Meaux, ainsi que l'indique une étiquette collée sur le contreplat supérieur, avec la cote n°28. Depuis 1969, ces Evangiles sont à nouveau conservés à l'abbaye de Jouarre, grâce à un prêt de l'évêque de Meaux.
