O estado do Pará é um importante produtor de pescado, beneficiando peixes, moluscos e crustáceos em inúmeras indústrias localizadas em seu território e cuja produção é destinada ao mercado interno e externo. Com o objetivo de analisar os fatores que afetam a qualidade do pescado foram analisadas 433 amostras de pescado,133 ( 51 de peixe eviscerado congelado, 54 de filé de peixe congelado, nove de peixe em posta congelado, duas de peixe inteiro congelado, quatro de peixe eviscerado fresco, três de cauda de lagosta congelada e dez de camarão sem cabeça congelado), de 20 indústrias paraenses sob Inspeção federal foram submetidas a métodos analíticos oficiais; 121 amostras de peixe exposto ao consumo em nove lojas de quatro grandes redes de supermercados foram avaliadas sob diferentes aspectos de exposição e condições de comercialização; e 179 amostras de peixe exposto ao consumo em nove locais (seis mercados e três feiras-livres) foram avaliadas sob diferentes aspectos de exposição e comercialização. Os resultados demonstraram que em elevados percentuais nas análises físico-químicas (determinação de pH, provas de reação de amônia e gás sulfídrico e bases voláteis totais), sensoriais e de verificação de temperatura e microbiológicas (contagem de Staphylococcus aureus, NMP de Vibrio parahemolyticus, contagem de coliformes a 45ºC e pesquisa de Salmonella), o pescado beneficiado sob Inspeção Federal foi classificado como de boa qualidade higiênica e sanitária, com destaque para a ausência de Salmonella e Vibrio parahemolyticus e para o resultado dentro do limite estabelecido para bases voláteis totais em todas as amostras analisadas. No entanto, os limites estabelecidos para a contagem de coliformes a 45ºC e para as provas de cocção, reação de amônia e gás sulfídrico foram ultrapassados em amostras de peixe inteiro congelado. Na exposição para consumo os supermercados foram os estabelecimentos que apresentaram adequado índice de conformidade com a legislação pertinente e os mercados e feiras-livres aqueles com maior inadequação aos parâmetros recomendados. O pescado beneficiado em indústrias paraenses sob inspeção federal apresentou elevada qualidade sanitária, em decorrência dos resultados determinados nas análises realizadas. Medias e ações de vigilância sanitária são necessárias para eliminar as distorções observadas em canais de comercialização como mercados e feiras livres.

Focus groups are seen as important tools in qualitative research for evaluating projects aimed at articulating social networks and movements. Six focus groups were held as one of the stages in research as part of the Food Safety and Sustainable Nutrition Project (SANS). This social network articulates the academic world with social movements and government in defense of the human right to suitable nutrition. This report is aimed at discussing the experience of applying focus groups to the investigation of perceptions by health professionals of activities related to food and nutrition in basic health care. These groups made it possible to bring together 52 professionals from 13 municipalities in the State of São Paulo, Brazil, and they exchanged experiences and debated issues related to food safety in the area of health care. The group discussions identified eating, nutrition vigilance and intersectoriality as emerging topics. The focus group technique proved to be a suitable tool for investigating the topic quickly and in depth, with a large number of professionals working in different contexts. In fact, the discussions went beyond the objectives of the research, since the group work made it possible to strengthen the process of articulation carried out by a network that promoting local measures in food safety and sustainable nutrition.

The Nuclear Medicine is a medical specialty which uses different radioisotopes for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. The isotopes are radioactive elements which are administered in vivo and present distribution to specific organs or cell types. The knowledge of radioactivity and notions related to ionizing radiation allow to contextualize the radiological protection measures to be taken in Nuclear Medicine. So it is possible to minimize unnecessary exposure to patients, the public, and individuals occupationally exposed and the environmental. For this it is necessary to relate the physical and technological bases apply to this mode with the standards established by regulatory agencies, including the CNEN (National Nuclear Energy Commission) and ANVISA (National Agency for Sanitary Vigilance). In this scenario, it is important that the theoretical endorse the activities which are periodically audited for verification of compliance with the standards that aim to radioprotection. One role of the Medical Physicist in these services is, therefore, act as Radiation Protection Supervisor exerting numerous activities and ensuring compliance with these standards. In this context the stage in the area of Nuclear Medicine was developed in many customers of the enterprise Rad Dimenstein & Associados LTDA, among them the hospitals Israelita Albert Einstein (HIAE), Nossa Senhora de Lourdes (HNSL), Santa Paula (HSP), Cruz Azul (CRAZ), Grupo Fleury, among other clinics. Following the routine and then carrying out various activities pertaining to the Medical Physicist in the area, it was noted that the measures and actions are extremely effective and fundamental in terms of radiological protection

Childhood sexuality is a polemic theme among pre-school educators. This text describes an extension project that aimed to observe the manifestation of children’s sexuality in a pre-school and to intervene by offering a space for dialogue, reflection and better understanding about childhood sexuality. The participants were seven teachers and whole group of children from a selected pre-school. It was observed (1) among the educators: the different games applied according to gender; how tolerant the teachers were regarding to boys bad behavior; vigilance against the homosexuality and constant motivation to female vanity and beauty. (2) Among the children: sexist stereotypes; manifestations of racism and prejudice; curiosity and interest about the body and sexuality and the use of insulting words concerning body beauty. The teacher education discussed theoretical and practical issues about the development of the sexuality in the childhood and the sexual education of their students. The project observed that a sexual education project can be put into practice in a pedagogical and ethical way in a pre-school environment.

This paper presents the survey, demarcation and discussion of different forms of education, which are education unintentional or intentional informal education, which unfolds in formal and non-formal education. The study of the proposed theme was carried through the review, critical analysis and synthesis of academic and scientific literature relevant to different forms of education. It approaches so prominent non-formal education, due to the significant rise of the practices related to it and increase the visibility of the professionals who took teaching as craft specifically in this educational modality. The main sub-areas of non-formal education presented in the article are: corporate education, non-formal education in social held on nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), non-formal education aimed at prevention and health promotion, formation of free courses to people in different areas of knowledge and practice. At the end, pointing to the importance of considering the non-formal education records within its ambit the existence of political and pedagogical rationales different, even opposite, which requires teachers and researchers in the educational field constant vigilance epistemological, so to contribute to the construction and consolidation of a critical education, creative and emancipatory.

Objective: to describe the profile of non-fatal cases related to interpersonal violence treated in an emergency care unit of reference that serves seven municipalities of the state of São Paulo, Brazil, from 2008 to 2010. Methods: the study data came from the cases reported from the Epidemiological Vigilance in Penápolis-SP to the Brazilian Information System for Notifiable Diseases; variables were shown according to the Notification/Investigation Individual Formulary of Domestic, Sexual, and/or other Types of Violences. Results: 109 occurrences were studied; most of the victims were young and female (93.6%); and the aggressors, mostly were men (57.8%), partners or relatives/acquaintances of victims. Physical violence was the main form of aggression (93.6%), principally in the home (67.9%), on Sunday (16.5%), between 6:01pm and 12:00pm (57.8%). Conclusion: the cases reported had a consistent profile of domestic family violence against women, different from other studies about interpersonal violence in large cities and metropolitan regions
