The Inquiry is of the view that the Terms of Reference are wide ranging and comprehensive. The issue of organ retention is not one which may be examined properly in isolation and involves consideration of many issues,  most notably the legal context within which the matters arise. Report of the Working Group on Post Mortem Practice

The Madden Report into Post Mortem Practice and Procedure (2005)1 stated that consideration should be given to the implementation of the recommendations made in the Report to other post mortems2, namely those carried out on babies who died before or during birth, minors and adults. It was acknowledged that while many of the recommendations in the Report may apply generically to all categories of post-mortem examinations, these post mortems also raise distinct legal and ethical issues that were not within the Terms of Reference of the Madden Report. Mycobacterium bovis identification by a molecular method from post-mortem inspected cattle obtained in abattoirs of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil

The presence of Mycobacterium bovis in bovine carcasses with lesions suggestive of tuberculosis was evaluated. Seventy-two carcass samples were selected during slaughter inspection procedures in abattoirs in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. Seventeen (23.6%) of samples showed colonies suggestive of mycobacteria that were confirmed to be acid-fast bacilli by Ziehl-Neelsen staining. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) using primers specific for M. bovis identified M. bovis in 13 (76.5%) isolates. The PCR-restriction enzyme pattern analysis using gene encoding for the 65-kDa protein and two restriction enzymes identified the remaining four isolates that were represented by two M. tuberculosis complex and two nontuberculous mycobacteria. The results are indicative of infection of slaughter cattle by M. bovis and other mycobacteria in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul.

Características clínicas y tratamiento de la ansiedad académica y ante los exámenes como fobia específica de tipo situacional

L'ansietat acadèmica i davant els exàmens com a fòbia específica de tipus situacional és un trastorn infantil i juvenil d'efectes pertorbadors i negatius que repercuteixen sobre la salut mental i emocional, el rendiment acadèmic i la integració social de l'estudiant que la pateix. En aquest treball s'especifiquen les seves característiques clíniques. Així mateix, s'inclou un cas clínic d'un adolescent de 14 anys que patia d'aquest trastorn fòbic escolar, acompanyat de baixa autoestima personal i dificultats d'adaptació amb el seu grup-classe. Se li va aplicar una avaluació i tractament de tall cognitiu-conductual que ha tingut com a finalitat la superació de la fòbia, i la millora del seu rendiment acadèmic i social. D'entre totes les eines terapèutiques utilitzades destaquen: l'exposició en viu, i l'aprenentatge i utilització de mecanismes de control de l'ansietat (la relaxació Jacobson i la reestructuració cognitiva). Finalment, assenyalar que aquesta intervenció terapèutica ha estat possible gràcies a la participació coordinada i cooperant de l'equip interdisciplinari.

The Andalusian Public Health System (SSPA) is considering the last time an attempt urgent process management through triage consultation, both hospital and primary care environment and tables situations in which the nurse responsible for these consultations can carry out a final statement of which only she is directly responsible through their independent intervention and referral (Triage Advanced). Pose, at once and consistently to the idea of teamwork, where they can be the limits to that intervention finalist and the circuits to follow.
