This work aims to show the importance of Baja SAE Project in engineering education, as well as the development of the student, being an outstanding tool for the engineering student has an education that meets the objectives of the pedagogical university and also the guidelines Ministry of Education curriculum for engineering courses. The Baja SAE Project provides the engineering students the chance to apply in practice the knowledge acquired in the classroom, to enhance their preparation for the labor market. The student becomes involved with a real case of project development, from concept design, detailed design and construction. The Baja SAE Project redefines the position of the student as an active element in the learning process engineering, leaving behind the simple condition of receiving information. Values procedures that provide students the opportunity to learn in contexts of professional practice, while offering the opportunity to contextualize the execution of a project. From an analysis to develop personal skills, Baja SAE Project has its own characteristics and essential for professional practice, however, not specific to the engineering course. For example, capacity for teamwork, communication skills written and oral, ethical behavior, critical, overview, entrepreneurial spirit, leadership, etc

Projeto D.A.N.T.E: desenvolvimento artístico de uma narrativa tecnológica

This monograph discuss the postmodernity social reality issues, emphasizing cultural, communicational, technological and informational extents. Via data collection through specific literature, and sources of different medias( internet, books, comic books, movies, novels, sociological, informational, technological, communicational and humanistic theories) behavioral patterns could be analyzed and the postmodern technological,informational and communicational reality as well, and how they mutually influence the “digital culture” construction (also called cyberculture). The results of this research were used to build a narrative which suits the new culture in development both in shape and in content: the scrip “Hotel Seol”. Projeto, desenvolvimento e construção de um redutor/multiplicador de velocidades de baixo custo

This paper aims to present the design, development and construction of a reducer / multiplier speeds low cost, sturdy and easy operation. The beginning of the project was given to research on issues related to mechanisms and machine elements, and these theories of fundamental importance in the development of items of equipment which, together with the aid of AutoCAD software, enabled the construction of it. Parallel to the sizing of equipment, were also investigated and taken into account the costs of materials used in the project. Made to mount the reducer / multiplier speeds it was at the evidence through experiments involving the use of torque wrench, tachometer and weights, getting proven applicability in situations that are small or medium loads required

The use of technologies called computedassisted, such as CAD - (Computed Aided Design), CAM - (Computed Aided Manufacturing) and CNC - (Computed Numerical Control), increasingly demanded by the market, are needed in the teaching of subjects technical drawing and design courses for engineering and design. However its use findl barriers in the more conservative wing of the academy, who advocate the use of traditional drawing, for the settling of the concepts and the development of spatial reasoning. This study aimed to show the results obtained with the design and production of an apparatus for measuring a three-dimensional computer-aided milling machine, interaction, integration and consolidation of concepts, fully demonstrating that the learning of computer-assisted technology is possible, and its use is most appropriate, meaningful and productive, than the use of instruments in the classic design.

Sanitário solar: a transdisciplinaridade como ferramenta de projeto, design e desenvolvimento sustentável

The appropriate use of computer aided technologies, allied to the concepts and design guidelines, grounded in biology, stimulated the development of a solar toilet, able to convert human waste into compost, rich in nutrients for use in gardens, farms and small farms. This transdisciplinary approach is presented as a necessary tool to be used in academia, integrating and developing activities previously disconnected. The solar toilet also called green bathroom, combines the most modern concepts and technologies of computer-aided design, design, selection of materials and microbiological control, reaching biologically correct and safe composting of waste, ensuring the viability of the project terms of cost, deployment, use and environmental safety, such as supporting sustainable development. It is also planned to install a pilot project in a small community with the aim of assessing its implementation and use as a complementary activity and university extension.

Utilização das tecnologias assistidas na concepção, no desenvolvimento e no projeto de uma escova dental sustentável e ergonômica

The toothbrush is identified as one of the most importants inventions in human history. Most of them are made by polypropylene, a recyclable polymer. Some are made of polypropylene and polyethylene leftovers from others industrial processes. However, the toothbrushes are discarded incorrectly and end up in landfills, which could be avoided by using a material and design suitable for the manufacture of the product. This study aimed, based on research, develop and design a toothbrush model with great features. For the conception of the prototype, was used rapid prototyping technologies. With the intention of improving the product quality, was created an ergonomic, sustainable and environmentally friendly model, seeking maximally reduce the generation of waste and environmental damages. The solution adopted was the use of "interchangeable head", which can be discarded after their useful life, keeping the rest of the body.

Refletindo sobre o contributo do desenvolvimento de um projeto de investigação com crianças do 4.º ano na abordagem da Educação Sexual

O presente relatório, referente à Prática Supervisionada do Mestrado em Ensino de 1.º e 2.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, encontra-se dividido em duas partes: a primeira diz respeito à dimensão reflexiva e a segunda referente à dimensão investigativa. Na primeira parte é apresentada uma reflexão crítica e fundamentada sobre todo o percurso realizado ao longo do Mestrado com base em experiências vividas, assim como aprendizagens pessoais e académicas construídas, em cada um dos contextos de Prática Pedagógica, perspetivando que professora de 1.º e 2.º Ciclo pretendo ser. Na segunda parte é apresentada a investigação realizada em contexto de Prática Pedagógica, numa turma, de 4.º ano de escolaridade. Teve por base o desenvolvimento de um projeto, inspirado na metodologia de trabalho de projeto, ao nível da Educação para a saúde, nomeadamente, a Educação Sexual. Este estudo apresenta um caráter qualitativo, pois pretendeu-se analisar e compreender as questões dos alunos sobre a temática do amor, as noções e conhecimentos sobre o desenvolvimento pubertário e sentimentos. A questão orientadora de toda a investigação, foi: “Qual o contributo do desenvolvimento de um projeto de investigação com crianças do 4.º ano de escolaridade na abordagem de temática da Educação Sexual?”. A análise dos dados aponta que a metodologia de trabalho de projeto é essencial para o desenvolvimento de capacidades como o trabalho em equipa e de temas ligados à sexualidade, considerando-se, por isso, fundamental que se desenvolvam nas escolas de forma a que os alunos se conheçam a si e aos outros.

Treinamento e desenvolvimento de pessoas e a nova gestão pública : o caso do Projeto Formação de Tecnólogos em Gestão Pública do Governo do Rio Grande do Norte

This thesis aims to identify how civil servants perceive changes made inthe carrying out of their work after their taking part in the Course forTechnicians in Public Management of the Government of Rio Grande do NorteState. As for the methodological procedures, an exploratory-descriptivequantitative research has been carried out through structured questionnaires appliedto 118 civil servants from the first groups of the Course for Technicians, thusshowing a margin of error of 4.18% to 95% of confidence, according to theprocedures of finite sampling. The table processing and analysis rested uponthe Statistical Package for the Social Sciences SPSS and was carried outthrough univariate, bivariate and multivariate techniques with emphasis on thetechnique called Factor Analysis. It was possible to identify that the level ofsatisfaction of the students was high and there was a clear perception by themthat the course assisted to changes in their work. Through Factor Analysis itwas verified that the factors that may be related to changes in the work of thecivil servants are "Contribution to Society", "Efficiency andEfficacy in the Work Environment", "Applicability of Contents"and "Capacitating for Leadership". The conclusion of the studyindicates that the factors obtained are directly related to the basis of thenew public management by means of guidance toward efficiency and efficacy in aperspective of leadership, the contents of the course being thus made into newattitudes toward work which end up yielding better results for society
