Against a background of increasing energy demand and rising fuel prices, hybrid-electric propulsion systems (HEPS) have the potential to significantly reduce fuel consumption in the aviation industry, particularly in the lighter sectors. By taking advantage of both Electric Motor (EM) and Internal Combustion Engine (ICE), HEPS provide not only a benefit in fuel saving but also a reduction in take-off noise and the emission levels. This research considers the design and sizing process of a hybrid-electric propulsion system for a single-seat demonstrator aircraft, the experimental derivation of the ICE map and the EM parameters. In addition to the experimental data, a novel modeling approach including several linked desktop PC software packages is presented to analyze and optimize hybrid-electric technology for aircraft. Further to the analysis of a parallel hybrid-electric, mid-scale aircraft, this paper also presents a scaling approach for a 20 kg UAV and a 50 tonne inter-city airliner. At the smaller scale, two different mission profiles are analyzed: an ISR mission profile, where the simulation routine optimizes the component size of the hybrid-electric propulsion system with respect to fuel saving, and a maximum duration profile; where the flight endurance is determined as a function of payload weight. At the larger scale, the performance of a 50 tonne inter-city airliner is modeled, based on a hybrid-electric gas-turbine, assuming a range of electric boost powers and battery masses.

本文研究了一种中性萃取剂支链三烷基氧化膦(Cyanex 925)和一种羧酸类萃取剂仲辛基苯氧基取代乙酸(CA-12)萃取稀土元素和钇的热力学性能。探讨了利用CA -12为萃取剂将钇与其他稀土分离的可行性,遵循基础-应用的原则,完成了从龙南离子型矿的浸出液中提取钇的分馏串级模拟实验。在此基础上还进一步研究了“绿色溶剂”离子液为溶剂,CA-12萃取稀土和钇的热力学机理。我们还考察了双水相中氨基酸的分离,为利用双水相体系萃取稀土元素奠定了一定的基础。具体的研究内容如下: 1.系统的研究了Cyanex 925在硝酸体系中萃取稀土和Y的规律,由斜率分析方法确定了反应机理,发现了明显的四分组效应,并确定了Y在萃取中所处的位置。同时发现Cyanex 925有可能用于轻、重稀土分组,易反萃。 2.CA-12对Y萃取具有高的选择性,研究了Y与其他稀土分离的可能性。进行了CA-12从混合稀土中提取Y的工艺模拟实验,并获得纯度为99.5%Y2O3,该工艺高效简便,具有好的应用前景。 3.系统的研究了离子液作为溶剂,CA-12从硝酸介质中萃取稀土和Y的规律。考察了不同水相酸度、水相中相关各种离子及萃取剂浓度变化对CA-12萃取稀土和钇的影响,从而推导了萃取反应方程式及机理。并发现在同样萃取剂浓度和水相条件下,CA-12-离子液体系中萃取稀土和钇的能力低于CA-12-庚烷体系中。 4.研究了赖氨酸、蛋氨酸、苯丙氨酸和半胱氨酸在聚乙二醇(PEG)-磷酸盐双水相体系(ATPSs)中分配行为,分别考察了PEG分子量、水相pH、氨基酸侧链结构等对分配比的影响,得出氨基酸在双水相中的分配行为取决于双水相体系的性质和氨基酸的支链结构与带电情况。

稀土在农业和医学中的广泛应用使人们日益关心稀土的安全性问题。本论文以红细胞为研究对象,围绕稀土对红细胞形态的影响,稀土能否进入红细胞以及稀土对红细胞带3蛋白胞质片段结构和功能的影响三方面开展研究工作,主要研究成果如下:首先,在宏观上通过超高倍光学显微镜观察了稀土阳离子及其络阴离子对正常人红细胞形态的影响。结果表明当红细胞与硝酸悯作用后其体积发生膨胀,表面出现棘状凸起,细胞间发生聚集。而以往被人们认为毒性较小的柠檬酸悯则使红细胞呈现囊泡状凸起,随着与稀土作用时间的延长多数囊泡状结构可脱落。EDTA的加入可使部分在低浓度(10~(-7)M)稀土离子条件下变形的红细胞恢复原状,说明细胞形态变化主要是由环境中稀土的存在引起的。其次,根据稀土离子跨膜研究中存在的一些问题,在总结前人工作的基础上,建立一种方法测定了体外温育和静脉注射条件下红细胞中稀土含量。进一步证实文献报道含有络合剂的洗涤缓冲液能够将进入细胞内部的稀土带出,影响测定结果的准确性。本论文中应用不含络合剂的洗涤缓冲液洗涤与稀土温育后的红细胞,在10mMTris-HCl印H7.0)低渗缓冲液中溶胀,ICP-MS测定结果显示无论是稀土阳离子还是稀土络阴离子均可以跨膜,且稀土络阴离子跨膜速度较快。耳静脉注射稀土后仅在兔血浆及红细胞膜上检测到稀土,说明在短期静脉注射条件下存在于血浆中的稀土不能进入兔红细胞。最后,应用基因工程技术克隆、表达、纯化了带3蛋白胞质片段及其融合蛋白。计算机结构模拟、荧光光谱以及生物活性的测定证实重组带3蛋白胞质片段与天然蛋白具有相似的空间结构和生物活性。稀土离子对醛缩酶、醛缩酶与带3蛋白胞质片段相互作用的影响表现为:0-10μMLa~(3+) 对醛缩酶活性有促进作用,当体系中L~(3+)浓度达到6μM时,带3蛋白胞质片段基本完全失去对醛缩酶活性的抑制作用。蛋白质内源荧光和同步荧光光谱研究结果表明,La~(3+)对带3蛋白胞质片段与醛缩酶结构均具有一定影响。本论文实验结果表明,低浓度稀土可导致调节细胞内糖酵解速率的带3蛋白胞质片段失去活性,使糖酵解速率无序增强。由于红细胞主要碳源来自于血糖,糖酵解速率的加快很可能会引起生物体血糖浓度的降低。

稀土有机碳σ-键配合物和氢化物不仅可以催化许多有机反应,而且还可以催化极性单体与非极性单体的聚合.作为稀土有机碳σ-键配合物与氢化物的前体,双配稀土氯化物(C<,9>H<,7>)<,2>LnCl一直是稀土有机化学中研究的热点.1.合成了一系列双配(四氢糠基茚基)稀土氯化物(C<,4>H<,7>OCH<,2>C<,9>H<,6>)<,2>LnCl(Ln=La,Pr,Nd,Sm,Gd,Dy,Y,Ho,Er,Yb,Lu).除了Pr以外,所有化合物的晶体结构都被X-射线衍射表征.2.合成并用X-衍射表征了3-(2-吡啶甲基)茚基锂(C<,5>H<,4>NCH<,2>C<,9>H<,6>)Li(THF)<,2>的晶体结构.3.合成了双配[3-(2-吡啶甲基)茚基]稀土氯化物(C<,5>H<,4>NCH<,2>C<,9>H<,6>)<,2>LnCl(Ln=Sm,Nd),并得到了配合物Nd的晶体结构.4.用二碘化钐(镱)与3-(2-吡啶甲基)茚基锂反应合成了二价双配[3-(2-吡啶甲基)茚基]稀土配合物(C<,5>H<,4>NCH<,2>C<,9>H<,6>)<,2>Ln(Ⅱ)(THF)(Ln=Sm,Yb).5.在用无水氯化稀土YbCl<,3>与3-(2-吡啶甲基)茚基锂反应合成双配[3-(2-吡啶甲基)茚基]稀土氯化物时,由于发生了还原反应,得到了二价双配[3-(2-吡啶甲基)茚基]镱化物(C<,5>H<,4>NCH<,2>C<,9>H<,6>)<,2>Yb(Ⅱ)(THF).6.二价双配[3-(2-吡啶甲基)茚基]稀土配合物(C<,5>H<,4>NCH<,2>C<,9>H<,6>)<,2>Ln(Ⅱ)(THF)(Ln=Sm,Yb)对已内酯具有很好的催化聚合活性.聚合反应可控,并具有活性聚合的特征.

The ground-state properties of Hs nuclei are studied in the framework of the relativistic meanfield theory. We find that the more relatively stable isotopes are located on the proton abundant side of the isotopic chain. The last stable nucleus near the proton drip line is probably the (255)Hs nucleus. The alpha-decay half-lives of Hs nuclei are predicted, and together with the evaluation of the spontaneous-fission half-lives it is shown that the nuclei, which are possibly stable against spontaneous fission are (263-274)Hs. This is in coincidence with the larger binding energies per nucleon. If (271-274)Hs can be synthesized and identified, only those nuclei from the upper Z = 118 isotopic chain, which are lighter than the nucleus (294)118, and those nuclei in the corresponding alpha-decay chain lead to Hs nuclei. The most stable unknown Hs nucleus is (268)Hs. The density-dependent delta interaction pairing is used to improve the BCS pairing correction, which results in more reasonable single-particle energy level distributions and nucleon occupation probabilities. It is shown that the properties of nuclei in the superheavy region can be described with this interaction.

In the framework of an isospin-dependent Boltzmann-Uehling-Uhlenbeck (IBUU) transport model, for the central Au-197 + Au-197 reaction at an incident beam energy of 400 MeV/nucleon, the effect of nuclear symmetry potential at supra-saturation densities on the preequilibrium clusters emission is studied. It is found that for the positive symmetry potential at supra-saturation densities the neutron-to-proton ratio of lighter clusters with mass number A less than or similar to 3 [(n/p)(A less than or similar to 3)] is larger than that of the heavier clusters with mass number A > 3 [(n/p)(A>3)], whereas for the negative symmetry potential at supra-saturation densities the (n/p)(A less than or similar to 3) is smaller than the (n/p)(A>3). This may be considered as a probe of the negative symmetry potential at supra-saturation densities.

Selective extraction-separation of yttrium(Ill) from heavy lanthanides into 1-octyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate ([C(8)mim][PF6]) containing Cyanex 923 was achieved by adding a water-soluble complexing agent (EDTA) to aqueous phase. The simple and environmentally benign complexing method was proved to be an effective strategy for enhancing the selectivity of [C(n)mim] [PF6]/[Tf2N]-based extraction system without increasing the loss of [C(n)mim](+). The extraction behavior of thorium(IV) sulfate by primary amine N1923 in imidazolium-based ionic liquid (IL) namely 1-octyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate ([C(8)mim]PF6) was systematically studied in this paper. Results showed that the extraction behavior was quite different from that using conventional solvent as diluent. A reversed micellar solubilization extraction mechanism was proposed for the extraction of thorium(IV) by N1923/[C(8)mim]PF6 via slope analysis method and polarized optical microscopy (POM)/transmission electron microscopy (TEM) observation. The salt-out agent, Na2SO4, was demonstrated to prompt this extraction mechanism.

In this paper, a quantum chemistry method was used to investigate the effect of different sizes of substituted phenanthrolines on absorption, energy transfer, and the electroluminescent performance of a series of Eu(TTA)(3)L (L = [1,10] phenanthroline (Phen), Pyrazino[2,3-f][1,10]phenanthroline (PyPhen), 2-methylprrazino[2,3-f][1,10] phenanthroline(MPP), dipyrido[3,2-a:2',3'-c]phenazine(DPPz), 11-methyldipyrido[3,2-a:2',3'c]phenazine(MDPz), 11.12-dimethyldipyrido[3,2-a:2',3'-c]phenazine(DDPz), and benzo[i]dipyrido[3,2-a:2',3'-c]phenazine (BDPz)) complexes. Absorption spectra calculations show that different sizes of secondary ligands have different effects on transition characters, intensities, and absorption peak positions.

Theoretical researches are performed on the alpha-R2MoO6 (R = Y, Gd, Tb Dy, Ho, Er, Tm and Yb) and pyrochlore-type R2Mo2O7 (R = Y, Nd, Sm, Gd, Tb and Dy) rare earth molybdates by using chemical bond theory of dielectric description. The chemical bonding characteristics and their relationship with thermal expansion property and compressibility are explored. The calculated values of linear thermal expansion coefficient (LTEC) and bulk modulus agree well with the available experimental values. The calculations reveal that the LTECs and the bulk moduli do have linear relationship with the ionic radii of the lanthanides: the LTEC decreases from 6.80 to 6.62 10(-6)/K and the bulk modulus increases from 141 to 154 GPa when R goes in the order Gd, Tb Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, and Yb in the alpha-R2MoO6 series; while in the R2Mo2O7 series, the LTEC ranges from 6.80 to 6.61 10(-6)/K and the bulk modulus ranges from 147 to 163 GPa when R varies in the order Nd, Sm, Gd, Tb and Dy.

The extraction of rare earth elements from chloride medium by mixtures of sec-nonylphenoxy acetic acid (CA100) with bis(2,4,4-trimethylpentyl) dithiophosphinic acid (Cyanex301) or bis(2,4,4-trimethylpentyl) monothiophosphinic acid (Cyanex302) in n-heptane has been studied. The synergistic enhancement of the extraction of lanthanum (III) by mixtures of CA100 with Cyanex301 has been investigated using the methods of slope analysis and constant mole. The extracted complex of lanthanum (III) is determined. The logarithm of the equilibrium constant is calculated as - 1.41. The formation constants and the thermodynamic functions, Delta H, Delta G, and Delta S have also been determined.

A novel hard material of (W0.25Al75)C has been successfully prepared by the high-pressure sintering process without the addition of any binder phase. The high-pressure is a suitable and powerful technique for sintering the binderless hard material, the relative density of the hard material can reach 99.6% under high-pressure sintering. The density of the novel light hard material is only 6.2371 g cm(-3), which is much lighter than the normal hard material. The hardness of the light hard material can reach 18.89 GPa even the aluminum content get the astonished 75%.

BACKGROUND: Ionic liquids (ILs) as environmentally benign solvents have been widely studied in the application of solvent extraction. However, few applications have been successfully industrialized because of the difficult stripping of metal ions or the loss of components of the ILs. More work needs to be done to investigate the extraction behaviour of IL-based extraction systems. In this work, the extraction behaviour of Ce(IV), Th(IV) and some trivalent rare earth (RE) nitrates by di(2-ethylhexyl) 2-ethylhexylphosphonate (DEHEHP) in the IL, 1-methyl-3-octylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate ([C(8)mim]PF6), was investigated and compared with that in the n-heptane system. In particular, the effect of F(I) on the extraction mechanism for Ce(IV) and its separation from Th(IV) was investigated. Otherwise, the recovery efficiency of Ce(IV) and F(I) from a practical bastnasite leach liquor was examined using IL based extraction.
