The importance of the capital market to Brazilian economic development, linked to the the fragility of a theoretical framework on the issue, case for developing this research. The agents operating in the capital market seek security and confidence for decision making on their investment in that sense we seek to address the concept and values of Corporate Governance to pay in the Brazilian capital market. The Corporate Governance, in its essence, is the system by which companies are directed and monitored, involving the relationship between shareholders and the board of companies, as well as a set of mechanisms and factors intended to minimize market failures. Seeking to confirm adherence to a more advanced system of corporate governance can result in a favorable financial performance, companies were investigated operating in the financial sector (intermediation, various services and insurance), listed by BM&FBOVESPA. The stock market ranks the corporate governance systems in three levels: Level 1 (rudimentary), Level 2 (intermediate) and New Market Level (advanced). To earn the impact of different levels of Corporate Governance for the outcome of the selected companies were calculated and analyzed accounting ratios of profitability, capital structure and liquidity from the Standardized Financial Statements (DFP), base year 2011, 2012 and 2013

A moda é um dos reflexos que melhor expressa as dinâmicas do contemporâneo, e a sustentabilidade é um dos agentes questionadores do conceito e da abordagem da moda e do design de moda, assim, a proposta deste artigo é apresentar uma análise crítica da relação da moda com a sustentabilidade, com o objetivo de confrontar e verificar os discursos defendidos por empresas do segmento jeanswear e o desenvolvimento de seus produtos de vestuário, chamados de ‘ sustentáveis’. A fundamentação parte da revisão da literatura dessas áreas somada à pesquisa de campo com entrevistas estruturadas, aplicação de questionários e posterior análise das discursos e divulgação por parte das empresas.

Utilização de painéis solares fotovoltaicos no segmento residencial

In order to diversify the global and national energy matrix and reduce harmful impacts on the environment caused by the emission of polluting gases into the atmosphere, the use of clean and renewable energy sources is presented as a good alternative. This work discusses the use of photovoltaic solar energy, a source that presents such characteristics. The photovoltaic system under study is the type distributed connected to the grid, in the residential segment. It is informed of its use in the global and national levels. They are also present their characteristics, electrical and electronic circuits that make up the equipment required for its operation and the design of a system to be installed in a residence

Análise envoltória de dados combinada com a lógica fuzzy em problemas de avaliação de eficiência de máquinas de consumo: um estudo em empresa do segmento farmacêutico

The pharmaceutical industry was consolidated in Brazil in the 1930s, and since then has become increasingly competitive. Therefore the implementation of the Toyota Production System, which aims to lean production, has become common among companies in the segment. The main efficiency indicator currently used is the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). This paper intends to, using the fuzzy model DEA-BCC, analyze the efficiency of the production lines of a pharmaceutical company in the Paraíba Valley, compare the values obtained by the model with those calculated by the OEE, identify the most sensitive machines to variation in the data input and develop a ranking of effectiveness between the consumer machinery. After the development, it is shown that the accuracy of the relationship between the two methods is approximately 57% and the line considered the most effective by the Toyota Production System is not the same as the one found by this paper

Programação por metas e análise envoltória de dados na avaliação de unidades de produção global: uma aplicação em uma empresa do segmento químico

Considering the high competitivity in the market, the application of quantitative methods can assist in analyzing the efficiency of production facilities of areas of export and import processes of the chemical industry sector. In this sense, this work aims to apply the model GPDEA-BCC optimization in order to develop an analysis of the production units of this chemical industry. So, were chosen variables relevant to the process and elaborated a final comparison between the results obtained by the optimization tool and performance indexes provided by the company. These results indicated that some production units should be monitored more carefully because some of them had a low efficiency when analyzed with multi criteria

Avaliação do desempenho ambiental e racionalização do consumo de água no segmento industrial de produção de bebidas

A região Amazônica, detentora de grande potencial hídrico, tem atraído indústrias que promovem uso intensivo de água, por isso, existe uma emergência por instrumentos que administrem essa tendência. Neste trabalho foi diagnosticado o nível de racionalização do uso da água pelo setor industrial de produção de bebidas no estado do Pará, assim como as causas do comportamento do setor. As variáveis dependentes (de comportamento) foram classificadas de acordo com quatro dimensões (gestão ambiental, manejo da água, manejo dos efluentes e medidas avançadas de racionalização) que compõe o nível de racionalização da gestão industrial hídrica. As variáveis independentes foram associadas ao: porte, ramo, tipo de embalagem utilizada, disponibilidade hídrica e valor econômico da água. Os dados levantados mostraram que a produção de bebidas tem uma grande pegada hídrica operacional total (acima de) 15.250 m³/dia, com as pequenas empresas apresentando o maior consumo relativo por unidade produzida (maior que 7 L de água/L de bebida). O setor como um todo apresenta baixo nível de racionalização do uso da água, a dimensão mais eficiente é a de gerenciamento da água; entretanto algumas medidas avançadas podem ser visualizadas, especialmente a recirculação da água em torres de resfriamento. A análise das variáveis de estudo demonstra que o nível de racionalização é dependente diretamente do ramo e do porte da empresa. Conclui-se que o consumo tende ao desperdício; em resposta a este quadro, devem ser priorizadas políticas públicas voltadas para internalização dos custos ambientais embutidos no processo.
