Estudiar la realidad educativa durante el trienio liberal en Cataluña y las posibles relaciones entre la escuela o la enseñanza y el momento de cambio que vive el país.. Enseñanza durante el trienio liberal en Cataluña.. Hace una exposición del marco histórico en el que se mueve el trienio y examina aspectos como la historia, la sociedad, la economía, la cultura, la iglesia y los escolapios. Presenta la legislación relacionada con la enseñanza. Expone el mapa escolar de Cataluña: escuelas de las comarcas, oferta escolar en la ciudad de Barcelona y los colegios escolapios. Explica características de los agentes educativos y del proceso educativo. Examina las diferentes posturas ideo³gicas: los ilustrados, los afrancesados, los liberales, la enseñanza tradicional y los escolapios. Aporta documentos como programaciones, memoriales, reglamentos, ¡minas con planos, etc.. Archivos históricos. Bibliografía. Era necesaria una legislación sobre la enseñanza, la Constitución sentaba los puntos que eran necesarios desarrollar. En 1821 se publica un Reglamento y en 1822 se da a conocer el Proyecto del Reglamento General de Primera Enseñanza. Los maestros no tenían ninguna formación específica, el maestro escolapio destacaba porque recibía una preparación en conocimientos y didáctica de las materias que había de enseñar. Loa alumnos pobres no podían asistir a la escuela. Los escolapios seguían el método uniforme..

Lifestyle factors are responsible for a considerable portion of cancer incidence worldwide, but credible estimates from the World Health Organization and the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) suggest that the fraction of cancers attributable to toxic environmental exposures is between 7% and 19%. To explore the hypothesis that low-dose exposures to mixtures of chemicals in the environment may be combining to contribute to environmental carcinogenesis, we reviewed 11 hallmark phenotypes of cancer, multiple priority target sites for disruption in each area and prototypical chemical disruptors for all targets, this included dose-response characterizations, evidence of low-dose effects and cross-hallmark effects for all targets and chemicals. In total, 85 examples of chemicals were reviewed for actions on key pathways/mechanisms related to carcinogenesis. Only 15% (13/85) were found to have evidence of a dose-response threshold, whereas 59% (50/85) exerted low-dose effects. No dose-response information was found for the remaining 26% (22/85). Our analysis suggests that the cumulative effects of individual (non-carcinogenic) chemicals acting on different pathways, and a variety of related systems, organs, tissues and cells could plausibly conspire to produce carcinogenic synergies. Additional basic research on carcinogenesis and research focused on low-dose effects of chemical mixtures needs to be rigorously pursued before the merits of this hypothesis can be further advanced. However, the structure of the World Health Organization International Programme on Chemical Safety 'Mode of Action' framework should be revisited as it has inherent weaknesses that are not fully aligned with our current understanding of cancer biology.

We present a search for associated Higgs boson production in the process p (p) over bar -> WH -> WWW*-> l(+/-)nu l('+/-)nu(')+X in final states containing two like-sign isolated electrons or muons (e(+/-)e(+/-), e(+/-)mu(+/-), or mu(+/-)mu(+/-)). The search is based on D0 run II data samples corresponding to integrated luminosities of 360-380 pb(-1). No excess is observed over the predicted standard model background. We set 95% C.L. upper limits on sigma ->(p (p) over bar WH) x Br(H -> WW*) between 3.2 and 2.8 pb for Higgs boson masses from 115 to 175 GeV.
