Integração do framework manakin com a plataforma dspace para múltiplas apresentações visuais de informações nos repositórios digitais

Digital repositories are currently being used by education and research institutions in Brazil as an alternative for propagating scientific and academic results, mainly to reach institutional memory and visibility. However, the way these results are presented may influence their use, affecting user-system interaction through the interface components. Thus, it is possible to state that an unique digital information environment can offer different ways of visual presentation, customizing informational and visual components for specific users communities. In this context, tools are being developed as a resource to make access and use of information easier, and to increase the usability of digital informational environments. One of these tools, Manakin, is presented in this paper, as well as its integration with the DSpace platform, in order to enable multiple visual presentations, stressing the importance of the differentiation and direction of interfaces by a single repository to the various knowledge fields. So, results and examples of repositories with multiple visual presentations are introduced, to facilitate the use of the presented tool, as well as to reinforce the importance of a differentiated visual identity by areas of knowledge in a single repository, by means of literary and exploratory analysis.

Efeito de múltiplas infecções com Strongyloides venezuelensis no desenvolvimento da encefalite autoimune experimental

A esclerose múltipla é uma doença desmielinizante do sistema nervoso central (SNC), considerada a principal causa de incapacidade neurológica em adultos jovens e está associada a substanciais custos econômicos, pessoais e sociais. Como não existe cura para a doença, estratégias profiláticas e/ou terapêuticas são necessárias. A encefalite autoimune experimental (EAE) em ratos Lewis é considerada um modelo adequado para a investigação destas estratégias. Nos últimos anos observou-se um aumento na incidência de doenças autoimunes e alérgicas em países desenvolvidos. A Hipótese da Higiene propõe que o contato com determinados antígenos ambientais (helmintos, micobactérias e lactobacilos) pode diminuir ou até impedir as manifestações clínicas dessas doenças. Neste contexto, o objetivo desta investigação foi avaliar o efeito de múltiplas infecções prévias com Strongyloides venezuelensis no desenvolvimento (características clínicas, imunológicas e histopatológicas) da EAE em ratos Lewis. Foram então realizadas quatro infecções com 4000 L3 em ratos Lewis fêmeas, utilizando-se a via subcutânea. Cerca de quinze dias após a última infecção, foi realizada a indução da EAE por imunização com proteína básica de mielina associada ao adjuvante completo de Freund contendo Mycobacterium butyricum. Vinte dias após a indução da doença, os animais foram submetidos à eutanásia e avaliados quanto ao peso, escore clínico da doença, quantificação de anticorpos anti-mielina e anti- S. venezuelensis e dosagens de citocinas... Síntese de nanopartículas de prata suportadas sobre nanotubos de carbono de paredes múltiplas para eletrooxidação de benzeno

Silver nanoparticles (Ag) were deposited on multi-walled carbon nanotube by eletroless. The hybrid Ag/MWCNT was used in the modification of glassy carbon electrode (GC) surface. The electrochemical characterization confirmed the presence of Ag in the nanocomposite has been showed that the synthesis was successful. The GC electrode modified with Ag/MWCNT film was evaluated for electro-oxidation of benzene. The electrochemical behavior presented an improvement on the catalytic surface in relation to non-modified GC electrode. The anodic peak current increased the magnitude in three times when compared with the CG electrode modified only with MWCNT

Desenvolvimento e avaliação das atividades antioxidante e despigmentante in vitro de emulsões múltiplas a/o/a contendo dipalmitato kójico

Currently, there has been a growing concern for men and women with the appearance of the face and body, driven primarily by aesthetic standards set by the media. For this, the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries have conducted numerous research projects aiming at the development of formulations that mitigate the aging and some skin disorders such as hipercromies. One of the most frequent pathologies of skin is melasma, a manifestation of hyperpigmentation caused by hipermelanogenesis symmetrical and progressive, caused usually by hormonal irregularities, exposure to sunlight and genetic factors. In addition to sunscreen, the treatment is indicated the use of depigmenting substances, among them the kojic dipalmitate (DK), which is cleaved into kojic acid (5- hydroxy-2-hydroxy-methyl-4H-piran-4-one) by esterase after absorption by the skin cells. The kojic acid inhibits the action of tyrosinase as a chelator of ions and promotes the reduction of eumelanin and its precursor monomer. To promote a controlled release and improve the stability of the system, the DK can be incorporated into multiple emulsions, that is, complex systems composed of two emulsifications, where the two types of emulsions (W/O and O/W or O/W and W/O) exist simultaneously, forming emulsions of type W/O/W or O/W/O. This work aimed to incorporate the DK in emulsion W/O/W, physical-chemical systems obtained and to evaluate the antioxidant and depigmenting action in vitro of the developed formulations. The physico-chemical characterization was performed by microscopic analysis, quantification and size distribution, determination of pH, conductivity, zeta potential and bioadhesive test of the formulations. The droplet size in accordance with the use of light microscopy and dynamic light scattering is approximately 1μm. Aplicação do método desirability para otimização de processo com múltiplas respostas

Currently, the competition between organizations in the pursuit of consumer preference has become increasingly fierce. In addition, consumers have become increasingly demanding due to high speed with which innovations occur, leaving the companies meet and sometimes surpass those expectations In this context, there is the necessity to use methods as mathematical models capable of dealing with the optimization of multiple responses simultaneously. In this context, this study presents an application of techniques of Design of Experiment in a machining process of a NIMONIC 80 alloy, a “superalloy” that has thermal and mechanical properties that make its machining difficult and in order to do this, the Desirability Function was used. As they are determining conditions in the machining capability of the alloy, the roughness and the cutting length were considered as variable settings, and the factors that can influence them are cutting speed, feed rate, cutting depth, inserts type and lubrication. The analysis of the result pointed out how was the influence of all factors on each response and also showed the efficiency and reliability of the method

Preparação de atores: conexões entre Diderot, Stanislavski e Strasberg

A proposta deste trabalho acadêmico é comparar os métodos de preparação de atores de Denis Diderot, Constantin Stanislavski e Lee Strasberg, evidenciando a linha evolutiva que se estabelece entre eles, recortando-os de acordo com a estética audiovisual. Na primeira parte realizaremos o levantamento histórico e estrutural dos métodos, partindo do ensaio proposto por Diderot no século XVIII, passando pelo sistema de Stanislavski e finalmente aportando no método de Strasberg. Num segundo momento, elaboraremos a comparação entre esses estudos para, finalmente, em uma última etapa, discutir a evidenciação do processo evolutivo que origina as diversas técnicas da área, a fim compreende-las em sua plenitude a partir do apontamento dos pontos de interseção

Aspectos formais da trilha musical de Yasunori Mitsuda para o game Chrono Cross e sua interação com o enredo

This work has the aim of evince compositional tools used in the development of musical scores for role-playing videogames through the analysis of Yasunori Mitsuda’s music for Chrono Cross (1999). This research is divided in two main parts: the first traces a historic path of the RPG genre on videogame consoles, since its birth as a tabletop game in the decade of 1970 until its consolidation on 3D game machines released in the 1990’s. The focus of this historical study concentrates on the aesthetics of this kind of game and on the multiple relations it settles with sound throughout the years. The second part is an analytical work on an assortment of pieces by Mitsuda for the aforementioned game, bringing up the most interesting aspects of the connections established between these compositions and the whole game.

Fazendo conexões com o mundo real: uso de conceitos e modelos da física no contexto da zoologia

There are considerations of that the education of Physics of the way as comes being driven us textbooks and consequently in classroom, is distant and distorted of their real purpose. We notice that the education of this science through the Physical school discipline, has I assume a character of preparation for university entrance exams exercises resolution, exceling for the memorization of formulae and by the mathematical solutions, fact that looks to cause to it is lacking of motivation and to the disinterest of the students regarding his contents. Since we are surrounded by phenomena, events, elements of the nature, new technologies, objects and so many others that can be explained and many times until applied and/or reproduced by means of physical concepts, there is no reason for treat to Physical as somewhat academic and remote of the reality. The little interest of high school students by the discipline of Physics and their poor performance in the learning of his contents has led to the search of new paths, resources and strategies that promote a more meaningful learning. Taking into account these facts, we seek in this course conclusion work, observe, analyze and apply concepts of the Physical one in multiple elements of ours routine, doing use of the interdisciplinary nature as a possible mechanism. The animals exert a fascination on most people. Much of what we see in their way of being and behaving can be explained by the laws of Physics and its models. Their physique, behavior and activities involve diverse movements, communication and sensing as physical limitations varied. Zoologists and physicists build models in an attempt to explain or understand animal behavior using well-established physical principles. Chave de identificação interativa de múltiplas entradas para espécies da família Lauraceae da Reserva Natural Vale, Linhares - ES

Foi elaborada uma chave interativa de múltiplas entradas para a identificação de 50 espécies da Família Lauraceae presentes na Reserva Natural Vale, Linhares-ES. Desenvolvida a partir da versão livre do Programa Lucid® 3.3, apresenta caracteres botânicos de marcação livre e não sequencial, que elimina as espécies as quais não atendem aos critérios selecionados até a identificação do material. Para tanto foi confeccionada uma matriz de caracteres relacionados aos táxons. Foram incluídas ilustrações no final do trabalho já que a versão utilizada do programa compromete a resolução dessas na própria chave. Há uma cópia da chave com o instalador do programa e instruções para uso no CD-ROM entregue junto com o trabalho. Futuramente estará hospedada no site do programa. A versão apresentada no trabalho é preliminar e será concluída posteriormente com a versão paga do programa. A utilização das chaves interativas facilita e dinamiza o processo de identificação dos táxons, contribuindo para a difusão do conhecimento biológico e de programas voltados ao reconhecimento e conservação da biota

Resolução do problema de sequenciamento de múltiplas linhas de montagem de modelos mistos em ambiente de produção enxuta

This work deals with the sequencing of Multi-Mixed-Model Assembly Lines in a lean manufacturing environment, where an operational structure where several kanbans support several mixed-model assembly lines, so that all assembly lines can receive parts or sub-assemblies from all suppliers. To optimize this system, the sequencing seeks to minimize the distance between the real consumption and the constant ideal consumption of parts or subassemblies, thereby reducing the scaling of kanbans and intermediate stocks. To solve the sequencing problems, the method Clustering Search was applied along with the metaheuristics Variable Neighborhood Search, Simulation Annealing and Iterative Local Search. Instances from the literature and generated instances were tested, thus allowing comparing the methods to each other and with other methods presented in the literature. The performance of the Clustering Search with Iterated Local Search stands out by the quality and robustness of their solutions, and mainly for its efficiency, whereas it converges to better results at a lower computational cost

The main goal of this thesis is to describe in details the development and manufacturing of hydraulic fittings for application in truck's cabin tilting lines, covering all of the pre-project, drawing, quotation and supplying processes. This development was planned due to Eaton Corporation - Hydraulics Group's interest in competing on this market with this kind of application. Company's standard procedures were executed until the final supplying stage could be reached. Moreover, the year in which this project was conducted was ruled by a crisis in the automotive segment and new opportunities had to be pursued and developed. Eaton's USA, India and China (facilities located in Aurora, Pune and Shanghai, respectively) engineering team offered all the support in order for this project to come true. As a result there are new part numbers in the company's portfolio, which now offers new fittings and a new type of adapter that was unknown prior to the project. This way Eaton has conquered even more space with this cabin tilting application and the customers (OEMs) have an alternative and homologated supplier to purchase from. Financially speaking, the project's sales income may vary from US$800,000.00 to US$1,300,000.00 worth during the following supplying years
