¿Es relevante la culpabilidad en la Ley de Responsabilidad Penal del Menor?

Aquest treball representa la culminació d’una de les etapes més importants en la vida d’una persona, la formació universitària. Quatre anys de formació y creixement tant personal com professional finalitzen amb l’elaboració d’aquest treball y, es degut a això, la importància d’aquest. En aquest treball d’investigació tractarem la rellevància de la culpabilitat en la Llei de Responsabilitat Penal del Menor. En l’estudi d’aquesta qüestió desenvoluparem els punts fonamentals per tractar de dilucidar si es necessari o no una reforma de la Llei de Responsabilitat Penal del Menor que suposi un enduriment de les mesures que es recullen en aquesta. Per a això, partirem del conceptes més bàsics per poder entendre la qüestió a tractar, passarem pels principis fonamentals de la Llei Penal del Menor, per les reformes de les que ha estat objecte la mateixa y finalitzarem amb un estudi de casos reals.

Perceptions of aging across 26 cultures and their culture-level associates

College students (N = 3,435) in 26 cultures reported their perceptions of age-related changes in physical cognitive, and socioemotional areas of functioning and rated societal views of aging within their culture. There was widespread cross-cultural consensus regarding the expected direction of aging trajectories with (a) perceived declines in societal views of aging, physical attractiveness, the ability to perform everyday tasks, and new learning; (b) perceived increases in wisdom, knowledge, and received respect; and (c) perceived stability in family authority and life satisfaction. Cross-cultural variations in aging perceptions were associated with culture-level indicators of population aging, education levels, values, and national character stereotypes. These associations were stronger for societal views on aging and perceptions of socioemotional changes than for perceptions of physical and cognitive changes. A consideration of culture-level variables also suggested that previously reported differences in aging perceptions between Asian and Western countries may be related to differences in population structure.

Encefalopatía de Wernicke: descripción de 26 casos

La encefalopatía de Wernicke es una enfermedad por déficit de tiamina. Su causa más frecuente es el enolismo. La clínica típica es la tríada de trastornos de la motilidad ocular, ataxia y confusión mental. Objetivo: Descripción de los casos de encefalopatía de Wernicke diagnosticados en el Hospital General de Valencia entre los años 2000 y 2009. Resultados: De los 26 casos recogidos, el 88.46% presentaban como causa el enolismo. La tríada clásica se presentaba en menos del 50%, siendo el síntoma más frecuente la ataxia (80.76%). Las regiones más afectadas en RM eran el área periventricular y el tálamo.

End-of-life healthcare in any part of the world is always rife with ethical conflicts and legal challenges. In this matter, the opinions and preferences of patients, family members, healthcare professionals, society as a whole and politicians may differ or diverge entirely1. Nevertheless, death comes to all eventually; it is part of human life itself. The fact remains that we will all die. Therefore, it is natural for all societies to seek the necessary consensus for guaranteeing that individuals can live, and die, in a way befitting their nature, i.e., humanely and with full dignity. This article tells the story of how the citizens of Andalusia, in the south of Spain, reached this majority consensus during the process of drafting and approving a law regulating this issue: Law 2/2010, of 8 April, on personal rights and guarantees to die in dignity.
