An account is given of activities undertaken during the project, which was concerned with the development of tuna fisheries using rod and live bait, in Mozambique. Major tuna species present in the area are described, and fishing gear and methods used outlined, detailing also catch composition and live bait utilized.

Along the Ivorian seaboard we have seven (7) stations where sea water temperature is measured every morning between 7:30 and 8:00. The hydrologic station of Vridi located at point A (5°05N, 4°05W) is generally exploited twice a week. In this report we are going to deal with data collected in 1984 and 1985. The irregularity of the dynamic height at point A enables us to identify water masses that go over the continental plateau.

The juvenile salmonid populations of the River Lune catchment, 1981 to 1985

The aim of this study was to assess the status of the juvenile salmonid populations of the River Lune and its tributaries. There was special emphasis on juvenile salmon stocks in view of the implementation of a net limitation order in 1980. The number of licensed instruments were reduced as follows: (1) Drift, hang or whammel nets - from 12 to 10 (2) Draft or seine nets - from 3 to 1 (3) Heave or haaf nets - from 4 6 to 2 6 For the purpose of this report, the River Lune system has been divided into 13 subcatchments and these are examined with a view to detecting any trends in the data such as subcatchment productivity, partitioning between salmon and trout nursery streams, and whether the restrictions on salmon fishing had any discernible effects on juvenile salmon productivity. The effect of flow and instream obstructions on salmonid densities are also investigated as these have been shown to be important factors affecting abundance. Throughout the study period a programme of enhancement stocking took place primarily with salmon ova and fry. The possible impact of this on the results of the surveys has been assessed. The distribution and abundance of juvenile salmon was found to be relatively consistent in each of the 13 subcatchments studied over the 1981-1985 period.

Esta dissertação investiga de que maneiras a representação do sujeito canadense pode ser encontrada em dois romances representativos da literatura canadense contemporânea: Obasan, de Joy Kogawa, e Alias Grace, de Margaret Atwood. Esta investigação também demonstra que a busca pela definição da identidade canadense tem sido tema constante e relevante da cultura deste país. A indefinição quanto ao que significa ser canadense também tem permeado a literatura canadense ao longo dos séculos, notadamente desde o século XIX. A fim de observar a representação literária da busca pela definição da identidade canadense, esta investigação aborda os conceitos relativos à representação de grupos subalternos tradicionalmente silenciados. A análise comparativa dos romances citados contempla a relação entre memória e trauma autobiográficos, assim como as semelhanças narrativas entre ficção e história. Esta investigação também verifica de que maneiras a literatura pós-moderna emprega documentação oficial, relatos históricos e dados (auto) biográficos a serviço da reescrita da história através da metaficção historiográfica

This fisheries report summarises developments of the year 1985 in the region of the North West Water Authority. It provides catch statistics, rod and line and commercial catches for salmon and sea trout, fish culture and hatchery operations, restocking with trout and freshwater fish, upstream fish movement recorded at Authority fish counters, counts of salmon and sea trout spawning redds, fish mortalities, licences issued, and prosecutions.

La regulación del aborto en España: 1985-2015

El presente TFG tiene como objeto de estudio la regulación del aborto que ha existido en España desde que entró en vigor la Constitución Española el 29 de diciembre de 1978. Todo ello con el fin de demostrar que el Anteproyecto de Ley Orgánica para la protección del concebido y de los derechos de la mujer embarazada que había elaborado el actual Gobierno del Partido Popular iba en contra de la tendencia que se sigue hoy en día en la regulación de esta cuestión. En efecto, el citado Anteproyecto no sólo era más retrógrado en comparación con la regulación existente en los estados europeos de nuestro entorno, sino también, y esto es lo más llamativo por tratarse de tres estados islámicos de corte conservador, con la regulación vigente en Túnez, Turquia y Marruecos. Finalmente, remarcamos la noción de libertad como pilar fundamental de toda esta compleja cuestión, la cual nos lleva a mostrarnos partidarios del derecho a la maternidad libremente decidida.

Memória, punição e democracia: apontamentos sobre a responsabilização dos agentes da ditadura militar brasileira (1964-1985)

As relações entre memória e justiça têm sido objeto constante de estudos. Parte desses estudos se desenvolve no campo da chamada justiça de transição. Dentro deste campo pode-se visualizar a demanda por responsabilização criminal de agentes estatais que praticaram delitos em um regime anterior. No caso da discussão sobre a transição brasileira após a ditadura militar de 1964 à 1985, é comum observar tal demanda, seja na literatura ou mesmo entre movimentos sociais e ativistas. Este trabalho pretende se inserir no debate sobre a transição brasileira, para entender quais funções a pena poderia desempenhar e, em que medida, a demanda por responsabilização criminal dos agentes da ditadura pode ser prejudicial à democracia. Pretende-se estudar, portanto, se a mencionada demanda por punição pode produzir efeitos positivos na transição brasileira. Assim, será possível analisar com maior clareza a necessidade de investir no discurso pela punição.

Coronéis e empresários: permanência da dependência e da estrutura socioeconômica excludente no Brasil pós-ditadura (1985-2002)

O presente trabalho apresenta uma reflexão crítica sobre a Nova República, período que se inicia com o fim do regime ditatorial em 1985. A partir de uma análise estrutural do capitalismo dependente brasileiro e das mudanças internacionais causadas pelo neoliberalismo e a globalização, demonstro como o período atual da história brasileira aprofundou as desigualdades sociais e a dependência econômica, inviabilizando a construção de um regime verdadeiramente democrático. A partir das reflexões de pensadores como Ruy Mauro Marini, Darcy Ribeiro e Atílio Boron traço um quadro teórico sobre a reestruturação capitalista no Brasil com a implementação das políticas neoliberais, o fetichismo democrático e o caráter conservador que domina as decisões políticas do período entre 1985 e 2002.
