O impacto da extensão universitária sobre a formação acadêmica em Odontologia

This qualitative study of descriptive and exploratory nature was conducted with the aim of evaluating the contribution of university extension towards the training and life histories of dentistry students, using the focus group technique. The material was assessed using the collective subject discourse analysis technique. The results showed the impact exerted by academic experience, in extension activities within the personal, professional and active citizenship spheres. The subjects' perceptions revealed an opportunity to develop and improve their professional skills, through recognition of distinct realities of life, through breaking away from the traditional model of teaching and through fruitful relationships between students, university and society. Feelings of satisfaction, personal fulfillment, recognition and being an active and critical citizen were reported. It was concluded that experience within the field of extension is an important agent for the individual and collective process of academic training.

PNBE 2010: personagens negros como protagonistas

This article is the result of research that aimed to analyze the presence of black characters in children's literature books selected by the National Program of School Library (PNBE) in 2010. Besides the analysis of the collection of the Program, the research subjects were students of second and fifth years from Public Elementary School in a town in the state of São Paulo. The findings indicated that only eight books addressed to the topic. Students of black ancestry recognized, through interviews and discussions in groups, absence of black characters that could be references for the construction of ethnic identity among other manifestations.

Contradições do processo de disciplinamento escolar: os Livros de Ocorrências em análise

Historicamente, as escolas assumiram como missão o disciplinamento de crianças e jovens, supostamente com o objetivo de adequá-los ao convívio e às normas sociais. Um dos instrumentos criados para exercer este ofício são os chamados Livros de Ocorrências, existentes nas escolas desde a década de 1920. Neste contexto, buscamos compreender como esses livros têm sido utilizados nas escolas atualmente, como esta utilização tem sido interpretada pelos professores e quais os sentidos dos registros. Em nossa análise apontamos que os registros têm pouca efetividade em termos de favorecimento à aprendizagem do aluno, mas que exercem uma função de disciplinamento e normalização. Pôde-se também apontar, com base na análise de entrevistas com os professores, nas quais utilizamos a técnica de grupo focal, que os registros tendem a ganhar um novo significado, de proteção da escola e dos professores, ainda que esta proteção possa ser compreendida mais como simbólica do que propriamente efetiva.

Formação do professor de educação física para inclusão de alunos com deficiência

The paper aims to describe the steps undertaken in the development of a training program to prepare the physical education teacher to meet the demand of inclusion of students with disabilities. Seventeen physical education teachers who worked in public schools, from 1st to 5th grade, participated in the first step. The Data were collected through focus group. The analysis was performed in categories. Two teachers participated in Stage 2, which consists of 28 classes that there was a student with disabilities enrolled. The reports focus group identified eight different subcategories of difficulties: 1 ) Training , 2) Administrative-school issue ; 3 ) Student ; 4 ) Diagnosis ; 5 ) Family ; 6 ) Teaching resource ; 7 ) Strategies ; 8 ) Physical Education. The filming analysis enabled to identify difficulties and success situations of each teacher. The identification of the difficulties pointed out ways to prepare Physical Education teachers, and based on such difficulties actionsand contents that include a training program may be stipulated.

Thus the aim of this paper is to proposed analyse the influence human relations theory for the process archive management. That methodology will follow the recommendation archive university case study. The data analysis for the current case study follows focus group. The conduct the case study was guided by three phases: Motivational elements, the individual and influence behavior, integration of the formal and informal organization. Employees May Be the Key to Success for O rganizations and develop the conclusions and recommendations portray motivation and a good working environment stood out the factors that employees develop skills and competencies. Organizational behavior that is present in forms of rewards, recognition, social man and informal groups. The nature of research contribute to the process archive management. Development and suggested that the findings of the analysis are applied to a larger structure of archive organization, as well as public archive case study.

O uso da informação no âmbito acadêmico: o comportamento informacional de pós-graduandos da área de Educação

This study reports part of a broader research about information behavior of graduate students in Education. The research´s participants were nine masters and doctoral students from a graduate program in Education at a public university. The focus group technique was used to collect the data. The focus group sessions were observed and recorded. The recorded data were transcribed, categorized and then analyzed using the technique of content analysis. The main aspects achieved were: i) Identification’s forms of information resources for research; ii) Internet as source of information; iii) Academic Library’s services and resources use; iv) Training to use of electronic data base; v) Difficulties to perform the search; vi) Advisor’s influence on research development; and vii) Environmental factors that affect information seeking behavior. The main results reveal that the identification of information sources occurs, mainly, through references quoted on studies of the researched area; as well as the advisors’ influence in the information seeking behavior of the participants. The results, also, disclose some environmental aspects, as example, lack of time to search and discomfort caused by the libraries’ environment that influenced negatively the information behavior of the studied group.

A educação física escolar, o basquetebol e o livro didático: avaliação do contexto da aprendizagem

Embora garantida por leis, a Educação Física enquanto prática pedagógica em muitas escolas ainda baseia-se em uma concepção tradicional relacionada ao ensino tecnicista de algumas modalidades esportivas, com caráter de reprodução dos movimentos técnicos. O basquetebol, como as demais modalidades esportivas na escola, possuía durante o período esportivista características nítidas deste período. Atualmente, com as novas propostas pedagógicas tanto da Educação Física escolar quanto da pedagogia do esporte, o ensino do basquetebol pode estar atrelado com a concepção de cultura corporal de movimento no qual a modalidade não deve ser abordada somente de maneira procedimental (o saber fazer) e o aluno deve que ser considerado como sujeito ativo do processo. Um dos caminhos para propor a relação entre cultura corporal de movimento e o ensino do basquetebol é por meio da implementação de um livro didático, construído a partir pressupostos teóricos, Galatti (2006) e Rodrigues (2009), os quais realizaram propostas que melhoram a compreensão dos conteúdos referentes ao basquetebol. Portanto, o objetivo do presente estudo foi avaliar o processo de ensinoaprendizagem de um grupo de alunos do sétimo ano do Ensino Fundamental de uma escola pública estadual do município de Rio Claro, SP, a partir da aplicação de um livro didático constituído de conteúdos referentes ao basquetebol atrelados a perspectiva da cultura corporal de movimento. Para isso foi aplicado um instrumento avaliativo com todos os alunos participantes antes e depois da implementação das aulas, analisando-se também os livros respondidos pelos alunos e, finalmente, avaliando a aprendizagem deles por meio de um grupo focal. Possibilidades das atividades físicas de aventuras (AFAs) no contexto escolar

A Educação Física escolar é responsável por proporcionar ao aluno o conhecimento da cultura corporal de movimento, compreendida pelas diferentes manifestações corporais, como lutas, ginásticas, danças, entre outras. As Atividades Físicas de Aventura são atividades existentes na cultura corporal de movimento e que estão ganhando cada vez mais espaço nos dias atuais. Essas atividades são realizadas em meio natural, urbano ou artificial, podendo ser adaptadas para o contexto escolar, envolvendo o risco controlado e proporcionando diferentes sensações. Sendo as Atividades Físicas de Aventura pertencentes à esfera da cultura corporal de movimento é necessário que elas sejam introduzidas na escola, proporcionando assim a vivência de novas manifestações corporais aos alunos, propiciando o aprendizado de valores relacionados ao meio ambiente em geral, que estão atrelados a essa prática, além de aumentar os conteúdos da Educação Física na escola. Com isso o objetivo desse estudo foi analisar a implementação de um programa de Atividades Físicas de Aventura dentro das aulas de Educação Física durante o período de um mês (oito aulas), com os temas: surfe, corrida de orientação, parkour e skate, para uma turma de alunos da sexta série, atual sétimo ano, de uma escola da rede pública estadual de ensino do Estado de São Paulo da cidade de Rio Claro. Para isso, foi avaliada a opinião do professor de Educação Física desta turma, por meio de uma entrevista semi-estruturada, dos alunos envolvidos durante o processo de implementação, por meio de questionários, e de um grupo de alunas pertencentes ao Programa Institucional de Bolsas de Iniciação à Docência (PIBID), por meio de grupo focal, sobre as possibilidades apresentadas nas aulas de AFA no contexto escolar. Grupos juvenis na escola e na cidade: estudo a partir da escola estadual fernando costa, de Presidente Prudente/SP

This work is the result of previous studies, such as the undergraduate research project and the “Núcleo de Ensino” project, which were based on knowledge of young residents of Presidente Prudente - SP. The present study aims to interpret and understand the ways the students experience the school and the city. To get results we studied the high school students of State School Fernando Costa, known as IE, located in the heart of the city. The research development came from the Participant Observation, after the use of questionnaires, interviews and finally the completion of a Focus Group. Finally, there is the consideration of the material collected in the practice, their school experiences and City entertainment. Following the conclusions drawn from this study

Basquetebol X temas transversais: a produção de material didático audiovisual para a Educação Física escolar

This study aimed, first, produce a kind of educational materials in audiovisual format, to the Physical Education, addressing the Transversal Themes in view of the basketball. The themes chosen were Cultural Plurality, addressing the basketball in a wheelchair, and Labor and Consumer Affairs, addressing the marketing and exploitation of labor force that the company is Nike. There is no doubt the importance of media production in contemporary society, as one of its main languages, but of little relevance in the school environment, especially in the area of Physical Education. In a second phase aimed at evaluating the feasibility of this material both as a teaching strategy, such as content of learning lessons. The evaluation was made through a discussion in the form of focus groups with 10 students from 9 th grade of elementary school. The results showed that despite an initial rejection of the material as a teaching strategy because of the history that Physical Education has for several years, students were open to new ways of learning. Since the results on the material, such as learning content, showed that the videos were able to address and the Transversal Themes and meet the need for procedural content with the proposed activities. With this, we realize that students are willing to discuss matters that are not always addressed, but now, with the creation of national curriculum standards should be reflected in the classroom
