Carmel Lagoon Water Quality and Steelhead Soundings: Fall 2007

ESSP 660 Advanced Watershed Science and Policy is a graduate class taught in the Master of Science in Coastal and Watershed Science & Policy program at California State University Monterey Bay. In 2007, the class was taught in four 4-week modules, each focusing on making a small contribution to a local watershed issue. This report describes the results of one of those 4-week modules – on Carmel Lagoon Water Quality and Ecology. The module was lead instructed by Fred Watson (CSUMB) and Kevan Urquhart (MPWMD). Atuação parlamentar e coerência ideológica : o Partido dos Trabalhadores e as reformas da Previdência Social (1995-98 e 2003)

Analisa a atuação do Partido dos Trabalhadores (PT), na Câmara dos Deputados, durante as Reformas da Previdência Social, entre os anos de 1995-98 e em 2003. Problematiza o comportamento do PT em distintos momentos históricos, considerando as posições políticas ocupadas, oposição e governo, possibilita interessante debate acerca das estratégias de articulação política, da coerência ideológica ou das contradições que o Partido demonstrou diante de uma questão complexa e conflitante como as mudanças no sistema previdenciário. Discute como um partido político com uma trajetória singular, uma história de origens de bases populares, embora de constituição bastante heterogênea, conduziu o debate e os processos de reforma previdenciária, levando-se em consideração o contexto histórico, as pressões internas e externas, e também a incerteza que envolve transformações em torno de uma questão tão abrangente, cuja natureza, para além do aspecto técnico, é também social e política, como a previdência social.

Projetos de lei apresentados na Câmara dos Deputados no período 2003/2010, relativos a crianças e adolescentes : uma análise sob a perspectiva do enfrentamento da violência

Trata da participação da Câmara dos Deputados na formulação de políticas públicas para o enfrentamento da violência praticada por crianças e adolescentes. O estudo, de caráter exploratório e descritivo, objetiva caracterizar o padrão predominante de intervenção da Câmara dos Deputados na temática da criminalidade juvenil. Apresenta análise com base na aplicação do modelo cognitivo-social para o exame dos projetos de lei ordinária vinculados ao tema da infância e da adolescência apresentados no âmbito da Câmara dos Deputados entre 2003 e 2010.

Avaliação dos discursos parlamentares na Legislatura de 1999 a 2003 sobre o terceiro setor

Análise dos discursos parlamentares proferidos no Plenário da Câmara dos Deputados na 51ª Legislatura, anos de 1999 a 2003, sobre o tema terceiro setor. Na metodologia utilizada foi criada uma base de dados específica da massa documental dos discursos e utilizadas atribuições de positividade e negatividade. Observou-se a necessidade de mais entrosamento entre as Ongs e o Congresso Nacional para o desenvolvimento de ações que propiciem melhores condições de vida para a população brasileira.
