RESULTADOS: Do total, 91 (82,7%) pacientes eram do sexo masculino e 19 (17,3%) do feminino.

The present paper conducts an analysis of all steps for the construction of diaphragm walls, from obtaining the soil parameters until its execution. Construction stages of diaphragm wall are detailed. The paper presents a detailed analysis of the main available calculation methods to obtain the soil parameters and the design of the diaphragm wall. A case history extensively documented in previous research and present in international symposiums was chosen for an analysis of construction process and excavation’s instrumentations, as well as emphasizing the importance of temporary works and construction sequence for deep excavation with cast in-situ diaphragm walls. In general, it is possible to conclude the main difficulty and uncertainty of the dimensioning are obtaining the soil parameter for diaphragm wall design. And, it is also possible to conclude the monitoring and execution control are paramount to the success of the diaphragm wall construction

The research discusses the pulmonary function of the students of SORRI that are part of the Project for the extension of the Department of Physical Education in Bauru Swimming for People with Disabilities during the aquatic activities, noting the changes in efficiency class of breathing with the practice of aquatic activity, by the analysis of the volume and respiratory capacity. The respiratory control is essential in the process of adaptation to the liquid medium, because a student who fails to immerse the face in the water will not be able to adopt a horizontal position sufficiently stable. The practice of aquatic activities requires a great effort of breathing. Therefore, the practice of aquatic activities influence favorably the breathing, because the movements performed in the water tone the diaphragm, which is the essential muscle of the breathing, allowing an improvement in pulmonary ventilation. For the purposes of this study, the sample was composed of 10 students of the SORRI of the city of Bauru forming part of the project Swimming for People with Disabilities, practicing swimming once a week for 1 hour. For the collection of lung volumes and capacities was used a transducer of air flow and a unit of data collection, model MP36, both of the brand Biopac connected to a computer, where the data were collected and recorded for later analysis. Two tests were carried out in a day with each participant in the project of swimming, and a test at the beginning of the lesson, at rest, and another after a series of 10 breaths carried out within the swimming pool. These tests were performed in the months of March and April. The analysis of the data was through the medium of the figures and also individually, noting the changes in respiratory function of students practicing aquatic activities, without which there would be no comparison between the participants. The measurements of the scores on the pre- and post-exercise show that the...

A myographic study was performed to compare the neuromuscular effects of venoms and crotoxin-like proteins from Crotalus durissus ruruima and Crotalus durissus cumanensis in mice phrenic-diaphragm preparation. It was concluded that both venoms present neurotoxic activity as a consequence of their crotoxin content. Furthermore, crotoxin from C.d. cumanensis is more potent than that from C.d. ruruima venom. At the concentration range in which both venoms express neurotoxic activity, only C.d. cumanensis venom also manifest a direct myotoxic effect that probably involves the synergic participation of other components than crotoxin. In the study line about contention, using Diaphragm Wall, revising the characteristics, vantages and constructive methods, following the application due to Terzaghi's theory. This work will be revising the advantages of the excavation equipments like the Clamshell and the Hydraulic Rolling Excavator, excavation techniques, and types of steel reinforcements, concreting, draining methodologies and comparison with other techniques. Also, will be revised a Study of Case, which by the application of two executive methodologies, will be possible to make a comparative analyses in a real construction situation.
