The fastest ever 11.25Gb/s real-time FPGA-based optical orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OOFDM) transceivers utilizing 64-QAM encoding/decoding and significantly improved variable power loading are experimentally demonstrated, for the first time, incorporating advanced functionalities of on-line performance monitoring, live system parameter optimization and channel estimation. Real-time end-to-end transmission of an 11.25Gb/s 64-QAM-encoded OOFDM signal with a high electrical spectral efficiency of 5.625bit/s/Hz over 25km of standard and MetroCor single-mode fibres is successfully achieved with respective power penalties of 0.3dB and -0.2dB at a BER of 1.0 x 10(-3) in a directly modulated DFB laser-based intensity modulation and direct detection system without in-line optical amplification and chromatic dispersion compensation. The impacts of variable power loading as well as electrical and optical components on the transmission performance of the demonstrated transceivers are experimentally explored in detail. In addition, numerical simulations also show that variable power loading is an extremely effective means of escalating system performance to its maximum potential.

This paper shows that film bulk acoustic resonator (FBAR) arrays can be very useful sensors either to detect physical parameters such as temperature and pressure directly or to detect bio-chemicals with extremely high sensitivities by incorporating a chemisorption layer or bio-probe molecules. Furthermore, it also shows that surface acoustic wave devices can be integrated with a FBAR sensor array on the same piezoelectric substrate as the microfluidics systems to perform transportation and mixing of biosamples etc. demonstrating the possibility to fabricate integrated lab-on-a-chip detection systems, in which all the actuators and sensors are operated by acoustic wave devices. This makes the detection system simple, low cost and easy to operate and hence has great commercial potential. © 2011 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

A fast response sensor for measuring carbon dioxide concentration has been developed for laboratory research and tested on a spark ignition engine. The sensor uses the well known infra-red absorption technique with a miniaturized detection system and short capillary sampling tubes, giving a time constant of approximately 5 milliseconds; this is sufficiently fast to observe changes in CO2 levels on a cycle-by-cycle basis under normal operating conditions. The sensor is easily located in the exhaust system and operates continuously. The sensor was tested on a standard production four cylinder spark-ignition engine to observe changes in CO2 concentration in exhaust gas under steady state and transient operating conditions. The processed sensor signal was compared to a standard air-to-fuel ratio (AFR) sensor in the exhaust stream and the results are presented here. The high frequency response CO2 measurements give new insights into both engine and catalyst transient operation. Copyright © 1999 Society of Automotive Engineers, Inc.

The aim of the present study was to purify the common native carp growth hormone (ncGH), produce monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) to common native carp growth hormone (ncGH), and further enhance the sensitivity of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA) for ncGH. Additionally, we investigated changes in serum ncGH levels in carps raised in different environmental conditions. The recombinant grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella) growth hormone was purified and used as antigen to immunize the rabbit. The natural ncGH was isolated from the pituitaries of common carp. SDS-PAGE and Western blot utilizing the polyclonal anti-rgcGH antibody confirmed the purification of ncGH from pituitaries. Purified ncGH was then used as an immunogen in the B lymphocyte hybridoma technique. A total of 14 hybridoma cell lines (FMU-cGH 1-14) were established that were able to stably secrete mAbs against ncGH. Among them, eight clones (FMU-cGH1-6, 12 and 13) were successfully used for Western blot while nine clones (FMU-cGH 1-7, 9 and 10) were used in fluorescent staining and immunohistochemistry. Epitope mapping by competitive ELISA demonstrated that these mAbs recognized five different epitopes. A sensitive sandwich ELISA for detection of ncGH was developed using FMU-cGH12 as the coating mAb and FMU-cGH6 as the enzyme labeled mAb. This detection system was found to be highly stable and sensitive, with detection levels of 70 pg/mL. Additionally, we found that serum ncGH levels in restricted food group and in the net cage group increased 6.9-and 5.8-fold, respectively, when compared to controls, demonstrating differences in the GH stress response in common carp under different living conditions.

随着网络技术的飞速发展,网络入侵检测系统需要处理大量的数据,处理能力的缺乏会引起入侵事件的漏报或误报,提高入侵检测系统的处理能力是目前急需解决的关键问题.AODIDS是一个由移动代理作为优化组件、多个分析结点及探测结点组成的可自动进行优化的分布式网络入侵检测系统.AODIDS的优化组件执行系统的性能评估,制定相应的优化策略,在规定的系统检测正确率的前提下平衡分配网络流量,从而尽可能地发挥整个系统的处理能力.

针对传统分布式入侵检测系统组件之间依赖程度大、系统不够健壮且入侵检测系统自身结构固定不能适应入侵的变化的问题,提出了一种基于Agent的自适应的分布式入侵检测系统(简称AAA-DIDS)·AAADIDS采用Agent概念重新构造系统的组件,改进了分布式入侵检测系统由于高层节点单一无冗余而产生的可靠性差的缺陷,从构造上克服了分布式入侵检测系统的脆弱性·同时,AAADIDS系统采用智能技术构建了自适应的入侵检测系统模型,增加了系统应对入侵行为变化的智能性·AAA-DIDS系统相对于传统的分布式入侵检测系统有效地提高了系统自身的可靠性和针对外界变化的适应能力·

A near-infrared single-photon detection system is established by using pigtailed InGaAs/InP avalanche photodiodes. With a 50GHz digital sampling oscilloscope, the function and process of gated-mode (Geiger-mode) single-photon detection are intuitionally demonstrated for the first time. The performance of the detector as a gated-mode single-photon counter at wavelengths of 1310 and 1550nm is investigated. At the operation temperature of 203K,a quantum efficiency of 52% with a dark count probability per gate of 2. 4 * 10~(-3), and a gate pulse repetition rate of 50kHz are obtained at 1550nm. The corresponding parameters are 43% , 8. 5 * 10~(-3), and 200kHz at 238K.

The differential cross sections of the dissipative products B, Q N, O, F, Ne, Na and Mg induced from the reactions of F-19+Al-27 at two incident energies have been measured at the HI-13 tandem accelerator, Beijing. In the case of a fixed beam incident energy 114MeV or 118.75MeV respectively, identical reaction system and the same detection system, 20 target points in steps of 2mm on(.)a 10mmx50mm rectangular Al foil have been bombarded. The experimental results indicate that the probability distribution of the cross sections is much wider than a standard Gaussian distribution. This non-reproducibility of the cross sections can't be interpreted by the statistical property of a finite count rate.

踢轨磁铁(Kicker)电源系统是HIRFL-CSR注入引出系统中实现快引出的一个关键元件,主要功能是为踢轨磁铁提供快脉冲励磁电流以产生所需要的快脉冲磁场。Kicker电源提供的是高电压大电流的快脉冲,电流脉冲上升沿和下降沿为150ns,脉冲宽度为650ns,其脉冲峰值电流为2700A,工作周期为10s-17s。因此及时监控Kicker电源闸流管的工作状况以及电流脉冲波形特性至关重要。本文针对踢轨磁铁(Kicker)电源的需要,进行了Kicker电源监测系统的设计,主要针对闸流管误漏导通检测、电流脉冲宽度过宽过窄检测、脉冲宽度测量及脉冲计数等功能提出了电路的工作原理,并设计了具体电路。系统输入端采用光纤接口,而输出端采用了PLC数字I/O接口。由于采用PLC接收监测电路板的信号来完成对Kicker电源的监控报警,基于此编写了相关PLC程序,并调试通过。该监测系统电路板已调试完成,可以很好地完成对Kicker电源系统较为全面的状态监测,方便地对Kicker电源系统状态进行监控。另外,为了解决Kicker电源系统脉冲同步的问题,以满足兰州重离子加速器冷却储存环(HIRFL-CSR)环踢轨磁铁(Kicker)电源对电流脉冲进行适当延迟的要求,还分别设计了ECL高速可程控数字延迟线电路系统和基于CPLD的数字延迟线系统,分析介绍了数字延迟线系统结构、工作原理及PCB版图设计等。ECL高速可程控数字延迟线电路已初步调试通过,而基于CPLD的数字延迟线系统已完成了程序编程及仿真工作,它克服了ECL数字延迟线不能实现零延迟的缺点,且可以通过修改VHDL程序来设置出更多位的可编程数字延迟线,方便灵活

随着中科院近代物理研究所重离子束治癌技术和浅层治疗应用基础研究的不断开展,对束流入射深度分布的影像测试研究成为了重要的研究课题。本论文基于此背景,成功研制了小型符合影像探测系统,并进行了深入的影像测试应用研究。符合影像探测的基本原理为通过符合探测系统对正电子放射性核素引起的正负电子湮灭辐射进行符合测量,并利用相应的影像重建方法就可以得到影像体的影像结果。研制的符合影像探测系统由两个探测单元组成,单元的核心探测器件为具有64个通道的位置灵敏平板型光电倍增管H8500,其前端与性能优良的BGO闪烁晶体阵列耦合,输出信号采用电阻网络简化读出。通过比较蒙特卡罗模拟结果和实际测试结果,优化设计了符合探测单元,主要确定了闪烁晶体单元的大小和组成阵列的构形:探测阵列由19X19块晶体单元组成,每块晶体单元大小为2X2X10mm3,间距为0.3mm的Tefon薄膜隔离。基于这种单元构形,探测单元的本征位置分辨约为:1.37mm(FWHM),组成的符合影像探测系统空间位置分辨约为(对22Na源):1.87mm(FWHM)。上述指标接近于小型符合探测系统最佳本征和空间位置分辨。符合影像探测系统分别在22Na 正电子发射源和12C束流入射有机靶不同条件下进行测试研究。采用中心焦平面影像原理进行数据的影像重建,得到了符合探测系统的空间位置分辨能力、最大计数率和靶内深度分布的影像测试结果。分析束流入射PMMA靶60秒后的测量数据,成功分离了靶内10C、11C 和15O 三种主要正电子放射性核素产物,对不同产物的深度分布与测试布拉格峰位进行了比较,得到了一种如何实现浅层治疗在线监测的研究方法。实验研究结果表明,研制的这一套2D符合影像探测系统具有高的空间位置分辨率、较大的探测视野(约50X50mm3)和较好的影像能力。12C束流入射有机靶的影像测试研究结果表明,该方法和该探测系统可以应用于重离子浅层治疗,可以在治疗过程中实现快速地、准确地对布拉格峰位进行监测

A flow injection system for the determination of organophosphate and carbamate pesticides is described. A sensitive fluorescence probe was synthesized and used as the pH indicator to detect the inhibition of the enzyme acetylcholinesterase (ACNE). The percentage inhibition of enzyme activity is correlated to the pesticide concentration. Several parameters influencing the performance of the system are discussed. The detection limits of 3.5, 50, 12 and 25 mug/l for carbofuran, carbaryl, paraoxon and dichlorvos, in pure water, respectively were achieved with an incubation time of 10 min. A complete cycle of analysis, including incubation time, took 14 min. The detection system has been applied to the determination of carbofuran in spiked vegetable juices (Chinese cabbage and cole), achieving recovery values between 93.2 and 107% for Chinese cabbage juice and 108 and 118% for cole juice at the different concentration levels assayed. Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) production patterns and the influence of oxygen (O-2) concentration were studied based on a well operated composting plant. A real-time, online multi-gas detection system was applied to monitor the concentrations of H2S and O-2 in the pile during composting. The results indicate that H2S was mainly produced during the early stage of composting, especially during the first 40 h. Lack of available O-2 was the main reason for H2S production. Maintaining the O-2 concentration higher than 14% in the pile could reduce H2S production. This study suggests that shortening the interval between aeration or aerating continuously to maintain a high O-2 concentration in the pile was an effective strategy for restraining H2S production in sewage sludge composting. CE/tris(2,2-bipyridyl) ruthenium(ll) (Ru(bpy)(3)(2+)) electrochemiluminescence (ECL), CEECL, with an ionic liquid (IL) detection system was established for the determination of bioactive constituents in Chinese traditional medicine opium poppy which contain large amounts of coexistent substances. A minimal sample pretreatment which involves a one-step extraction approach avoids both sample loss and environmental pollution. As the nearby hydroxyl groups in some alkaloid such as morphine may react with borate to form complexes and IL, as a high-conductivity additive in running buffer, could cause an enhanced field-amplified effect of electrokinetic injection. Running buffer containing 25 mM borax-8 mM 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate (EMImBF(4)) IL (pH 9.18) was used which resulted in significant changes in separation selectivity and obvious enhancement in ECL intensities for those alkaloids with similar structures. Sensitive detection could be achieved when the distance between the Pt working electrode and the outlet of separation capillary was set at 150 mu m and the stainless steel cannula was fixed approximately 1 cm away from the outlet of the capillary. Quantitative analysis of four alkaloids was achieved at a detection voltage of 1.2 V and a separation voltage of 15 kV in less than 7 min.

Capillary electrophoresis (CE) with Ru(bpy)(3)(2+) electrochemiluminescence. (ECL) detection system was established to the determination of contamination of banknotes with controlled drugs and a high efficiency on-column field-amplified sample stacking (FASS) technique was also optimized to increase the ECL intensity. The method was illustrated using heroin and cocaine, which are two typical and popular illicit drugs. Highest sample stacking was obtained when 0.01 mM acetic acid was chosen for sample dissolution with electrokinetical injection for 6 s at 17 kV. Under the optimized conditions: ECL detection at 1.2 V, separation voltage 10.0 kV, 20 mM phosphate-acetate (pH 7.2) as running buffer, 5 mM Ru(bpy)(3)(2+) with 50 mM phosphate-acetate (pH 7.2) in the detection cell, the standard curves were linear in the range of 7.50 x 10(-8) to 1.00 x 10(-5) M for heroin and 2.50 x 10(-7) to 1.00 x 10(-4) M for cocaine and detection limits of 50 nM for heroin and 60 nM for cocaine were achieved (S/N = 3), respectively. Relative standard derivations of the ECL intensity and the migration time were 3.50 and 0.51% for heroin and 4.44 and 0.12% for cocaine, respectively.The developed method was successfully applied to the determination of heroin and cocaine on illicit drug contaminated banknotes without any damage of the paper currency.
