Analisa a Política de Educação Ambiental no Município de Belém, possibilitando através de nossas experiências na área do Meio Ambiente, materializadas a partir da inserção em projetos de extensão e de pesquisa, potencializados pela Universidade Federal do Pará. À luz destas experiências, analisamos teoricamente a Educação Ambiental, e fundamentamos nossas argumentações, na necessidade desta ser concebida como Política Social. A indagação e discussão sobre esta questão, emergiu como tema central de nosso estudo, que perpassa sobretudo pelo Serviço Social, profissão que nas últimas décadas do século XX, e no novo milênio, vem confirmando suas ações na defesa intransigente da democracia, da justiça, da liberdade e dos direitos humanos. A partir deste pressuposto, apresentamos a Educação Ambiental como uma nova demanda ocupacional para o Assistente Social, nesse sentido analisamos a intervenção deste profissional no Município de Belém-PA, no tocante a Educação Ambiental. Para tanto, potencializamos nossa pesquisa em três órgãos do Governo Municipal: FUNBOSQUE, FUNVERDE e SEHAB. Este trabalho tem por objetivo último, propiciar argumentos teóricos para avançar no debate da categoria, vislumbrando novas competências teórico-práticas e éticopolíticas acerca da Educação Ambiental.

A dissertação ora apresentada, se propõe ao estudo crítico da intervenção profissional, no campo particular da política de Assistência Social, no interior da concepção da dimensão técnico-operativa, ao qual participaram 05 assistentes sociais que trabalham nos Centros de Referência da Assistência Social –CRAS, localizados geograficamente na Região Metropolitana de Belém-Pa, dimensão técnico-operativa essa, situada dentro da Política Nacional de Assistência Social –PNAS/2004, haja vista que, esse estudo foi viabilizado a partir da compreensão desses assistentes sociais sobre o uso dos instrumentos técnicos que mais apareceram na fala desses sujeitos, ou seja, durante suas intervenções profissionais no ano de 2013, com vista a identificar, possíveis dificuldades de compreensão teórica e a sua relação com a prática profissional, na perspectiva de compreender como se dá o uso dessa instrumentação técnica dentro da articulação orgânica entre a relação teórico-metodológica, ético-política e técnico-operativa. Tem como base de análise a teoria Dialética e o método adotado, foi a técnica de Analise de Discurso, com vista a qualificar mais a pesquisa, bem como, a consulta em bibliografias, artigos e revistas da área do Serviço Social; a pesquisa se deu por meio de entrevistas semi-estruturadas, orientadas pelo instrumento denominado de roteiro de entrevista. Buscou-se evidencias a partir da compreensão desses sujeitos expressos através das falas analisadas, de como essa dimensão técnico-operativa, assim como os instrumentos utilizados, comparecem nas ações práticas dos assistentes sociais no momento das intervenções profissionais, bem como, saber o porquê da dificuldade de compreensão da relação teoria e prática nesses espaços sócio-ocupacionais. Como resultados preliminares, verificou-se que nas intervenções profissionais, os assistentes sociais vêm apresentando dificuldades de compreensão a cerca da teoria social crítica, impactando dessa forma, no uso da instrumentação técnica, ora tendendo para a concepção tecnicista, ora tendendo para a concepção teoricista, reproduzindo-se assim, a polêmica histórica no interior do Serviço Social.

Esta dissertação apresenta como objetivo a reflexão sobre a operacionalização da Política previdenciária em Belém-Pa, a partir dos usuários do SRP/INSS. Para tanto, buscou-se Identificar e conhecer quem são os homens e mulheres que usufruem deste serviço na referida cidade, bem como suas compreensões acerca da presença desigual dos sexos. Orientada pelo método crítico dialético, a Seguridade Social brasileira é alvo de exposição, a partir de autores que analisam a mesma no contexto da desigualdade de classe e da desigualdade de sexo, considerando a discussão sobre a categoria de gênero e o conceito de patriarcado, que remetem à divisão sexual, como uma estratégia relevante de hierarquizar homens e mulheres em todas as esferas da vida social nas sociedades estruturadas pela propriedade privada. Como procedimento metodológico, utilizou-se informações disponíveis em sites oficiais das três instâncias de governo, a exemplo do IBGE, MPAS e IDESP. As compreensões dos sujeitos desta pesquisa foram obtidas através da realização de 17 entrevistas com usuários atendidos na APS localizada no bairro da pedreira. A relação direta entre trabalho, produção de riqueza, política pública e social, desigualdade de sexo e raça/etnia possibilitou, dentre outras, concluir que o espaço de materialização da Previdência Social em Belém é predominantemente frequentado por homens e permeado de discursos masculinizados, não raro, associado ao perigo e ao trabalho pesado. Os resultados desta dissertação confirmam os estudos realizados em outros Estados sobre a paradoxal relação entre direito e humanização no horizonte capitalista.

The quality of life of nursing professionals of character is relevant because the service involves every aspect of workers with personal, social and cultural, so that professionals can result in unproductive and emotionally shaken, and may influence the direct patient care.The aim of this study is to report the quality of life of nursing staff working in the adult ICU of a university hospital.Methodology will be applied to qualitative, through interviews with guiding questions, with the subject all the nursing staff of the Intensive Care Unit - Adult, located in Bauru State Hospital. The survey results were analyzed through content analysis proposed by Bardin. The interviews were divided into categories and subcategories in the sequence. In the category Defining quality of life - hidden connections got four subcategories: happiness, pleasure, interrelation and practice in nursing, which are directly related to the meaning of quality of life. What about the profession as interference in quality of life of nursing staff reached the category A profession in contrast with the quality of life - Connections Exposed that led to the division of four subcategories: proximity to death, absenteeism, double day / salary, shifts, ranking at work and work process. Finally, it concerns the improvement of the profession that can intervene in the quality of life of workers obtained the category Improving occupancy improving the quality of life - Connections to be built, which is subdivided into sub-categories: professional incentive, hierarchy and enhancement of the profession. These categories and subcategories showed significant and important aspects of quality of life of nursing professionals

The aim of this study was to identify scores of interest related to coping strategies used by professional and amateur football players. Participants were 134 male football players, 71 professionals (age=22,77±3,98 years) and 63 amateurs (age=17,18±0,84) from three teams participating on the First Division State Championship). The players answered individually to the Coping with Problems Scale. Significance level was P<0.05. When coping strategies were compared based on game position and player category (professional or amateur), lateral player amateurs used more wishful thinking /religious practices (P=0.042) than professionals. Coping Focused Problem was the most used strategy used by both the professionals and amateurs, except the amateur laterais, who used more wishful thinking /religious practices.

The frequent characterization about the Physical Education Degree is associated to technical-sport and training aspects and this is the reason of this study. The objective is to understand the motives to the basis of this situation. In this sense, a theoretical study was developed regarding the Physical Education Teaching Training in Brazil; at the same time, an empirical investigation was carried out with first-year students of the cited degree. The register tool to collect the students' understandings was an open question expressed as: "Why did you choose the course of Physical Education Degree?" which was answered in written form by the students. So as to make up an understanding of the data collected, the information was organized in two thematic categories; Category A: no identification with schooling; Category B: reasons in relation to the (lack) of professional vocation. Based on the students' answers, it was possible to comprehend that choosing the mentioned degree it is mostly set up by a lack of option, instead of a real professional identity and thoughtful processes of transformation in society.

With the purpose to contribute to the construction of quality indicators in human resources management, this study aimed at identifying, from the perspective of nurse managers, essential elements in the composition of indicators for evaluating human resources management in nursing. To that end, phenomenology was adopted as the theoretical methodological framework for this qualitative investigation, in which ten nurses performing in teaching or care provision at a university hospital participated. Following approval by the Committee of Ethics in Research and the subjects’ consent, interviews were performed from September 2005 to July 2006. The analysis enabled the recovery of the following topics “Professional education”, “Training multiprofessional nursing teams” and “Institutional training conditions” in the Permanent Education category and topics “Actions that favor participant management” and “Team work” in the Participant Management category. In its conclusion, the study considers the findings to allow identify elements constituting quality indicators in human resources management.

On the health area, care is seen as an important concept for professionals. Recently there is a trend, the epistemological point of view, to think carefully as category allowing discuss and re (thinking) practices of humane health care. The objective of this study is to investigate the understanding of care in nursing staff in a Basic Health Unit (BHU) in the city of Natal. The participants were two nurses and two nursing technicians working on the BHU of Guarapes district, located on the west side of Natal - RN. As Theoretical support for data interpretation, was used the concept of care taking, using Heidegger’s theories as reference, through Ayre’s ideas. This is a qualitative research using autobiographical as a methodology. The methodological strategy approach used were focus group and individual interviews. The data were discussed by three angles: knowledge (concepts and theories behind the practical model), technical (the way to do), and ethics (values that bases practices) by hermeneutics Gadamer's dialectic. The results showed the necessity to expand the discussion on care, in practice the understanding of care seems to get narrower concerns with technical success by professionals. The care, as a meeting between beings, the desired humanized care, seems to be understood in parts in theory, but also distances itself from reality in professional practice.

The need for universal access to health and the failure of the pedagogical model centered on the transmission of knowledge has led to changes in the training of health professionals. The objective of this study was to provide a new alternative for evaluating dental students through the development, validation and application of evaluation criteria based on the National Curriculum Guidelines (DCN in Brazil). Therefore, the study was conducted in three phases: development and validation of evaluation criteria of Dentistry courses based on the DCN; a pilot study to verify the applicability of the validated criteria and evaluation of the dentistry courses in the Northeast. In the first stage, a logical model was formulated, allowing for the construction of a criteria matrix, validated by a modified Delphi consensus technique. The validated matrix has the following dimensions: Profile of graduates, health care guidance, teaching and service integration, and pedagogical approach. The pilot study was conducted in five dental courses through a documentary study of the pedagogical project course (PPC), and application of validated questionnaires and interviews with course coordinators. The results of the pilot study indicate the possibility of being verified by means of validated criteria and using different methodological proposals, advances and curricular limitations facing the proposed reorientation of training recommended by DCN. The evaluation of Northeast Dentistry courses was carried out by applying a questionnaire validating a matrix of 30 course coordinators, including public and private institutions. The data were submitted to descriptive analysis, and also tested the difference between means and the correlation between the assessment of the coordinators in the dimensions and sub-dimensions with each other, among the general evaluation of courses and between the following variables: administrative category, time since last curriculum updating, participation in reorienting the training of health professionals programs, ENADE and CPC (Preliminary Concepts of the Course) scores in the year 2013. Positive correlation (p <0.01) was found between the means obtained by the perception of the coordinators in most dimensions, and also between them and the overall performance of the course. There were no significant differences between the coordinators’ perception about course performance and the administrative category (public / private). This difference is slightly higher when the average performance is compared with respect to time due to the last curriculum update, getting better performance in courses with the latest updated curriculum, even with there not 11 being this significant difference between dimensions. Better averages of performance were obtained in courses that do not participate in reorientation programs of professional training, with a significant difference (p<0.05) for the overall score and for all dimensions except the dimensions of teaching-service Integration (p = 0.064). There was no significant correlation between the assessment of coordinators in all dimensions, in the overall assessment or ENADE and CPC scores in 2013. The final instrument proposed in this study is a different alternative assessment for health training of both dentists and other professionals, considering that the DCN providing for the training and graduation of professionals is focused on the health needs of the population, integrated with the SUS (the National Brazilian Health System) and based on student-centered learning.
