Anàlisi i disseny d'un portal Web per a un club d'escacs

Aquest treball de final de carrera vol fer una anàlisi de les necessitats de publicació de continguts i serveis a Internet d'un club d'escacs. Pel que fa a la implementació, l'objectiu es desenvolupar un portal web base, amb una tecnologia que permeti que el client pugui implementar la totalitat de les funcionalitats previstes en un futur.

Quality of Web-based information on obsessive compulsive disorder.

BACKGROUND: The Internet is increasingly used as a source of information for mental health issues. The burden of obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) may lead persons with diagnosed or undiagnosed OCD, and their relatives, to search for good quality information on the Web. This study aimed to evaluate the quality of Web-based information on English-language sites dealing with OCD and to compare the quality of websites found through a general and a medically specialized search engine. METHODS: Keywords related to OCD were entered into Google and OmniMedicalSearch. Websites were assessed on the basis of accountability, interactivity, readability, and content quality. The "Health on the Net" (HON) quality label and the Brief DISCERN scale score were used as possible content quality indicators. Of the 235 links identified, 53 websites were analyzed. RESULTS: The content quality of the OCD websites examined was relatively good. The use of a specialized search engine did not offer an advantage in finding websites with better content quality. A score ≥16 on the Brief DISCERN scale is associated with better content quality. CONCLUSION: This study shows the acceptability of the content quality of OCD websites. There is no advantage in searching for information with a specialized search engine rather than a general one. Practical implications: The Internet offers a number of high quality OCD websites. It remains critical, however, to have a provider-patient talk about the information found on the Web.

Metodologías de desarrollo de proyectos informáticos en entornos web

El presente TFC tiene dos objetivos principales: 1. Determinar el grado de adaptación de las metodologías ágiles al desarrollo de proyectos web puesta en contexto con la adaptación de las metodologías clásicas a este mismo entorno. 2. Realizar una clasificación de las metodologías de desarrollo de software según el grado de adaptación a los proyectos web.

Desenvolupament d'una aplicació per al filtrat de pàgines web

Aquest treball presenta un servidor proxy fàcilment configurable per a filtrar de pàgines web el contingut de les quals es vol prohibir a un usuari. L'aplicació ha estat desenvolupada en Java mitjançant les classes Socket i ServerSocket. I incorpora la funcionalitat de confecció d'estadístiques del tràfic a través del proxy provinent de la internet i provinent del browser.

Implementación de un generador de contenido web semántico con posiciones didácticas de ajedrez

Análisis, diseño y desarrollo de un aplicativo que a partir de un fichero con formato "PGN" genere dos tipos distintos de fichero, el primero será una página HTML con contenido gráfico que represente las posiciones, soluciones y datos complementarios de cada posición, y el segundo fichero contendrá una base de conocimiento en formato OWL, ontología compuesta de clases y propiedades, previamente definidas con Protégé, y de individuos que serán creados dinámicamente a partir de la información contenida en el fichero PGN de entrada.

Projecte Web "rando-Guyane"

Pàgina web presentant una recopilació de rutes GPS i informació, consells, experiències, fotos... relatius a les rutes i basats en l'experiència de fa molts anys dels excursionistes de la Guyana Francesa. Actualment aquesta informació es troba molt disseminada i conseqüentment és difícil de trobar. El lloc web ofereix aquesta informació de forma molt visual i precisa, amb la possibilitat de descàrrega de les rutes GPS per fer l'excursionisme més segur i accessible a tothom. El lloc web té una filosofia "wiki": són els usuaris els qui animen el contingut afegint i editant les rutes que conté.

AgShare : Building Community and Content with Multiple Partners

Michigan State University and OER Africa are creating a win-win collaboration of existing organizations for African publishing, localizing, and sharing of teaching and learning materials that fill critical resource gaps in African MSc agriculture curriculum. Audio as medium for content distribution (providing access to knowledge)

Reaching and educating the masses to the benefit of all of mankind is the ultimate goal and through the use of this technology facility/tool many can be reached in their own language, in their own community, in their own time and at their own pace. Making this content available to those who will benefit from the information, is vital. These people who want to consume the content are not necessarily that interested in the qualification, they need the information. Making the content available in an auditory format may also help those who may not be as literate as others. The uses of audio/ recorded lessons have a number of uses and should not just be seen as a medium for content distribution to distant communities. Recording lectures makes it possible for a lecturer to present lectures to a vast number of students, while just presenting the lecture once.

An Ontology for Open Rubric Exchange on the Web

While the Internet has given educators access to a steady supply of Open Educational Resources, the educational rubrics commonly shared on the Web are generally in the form of static, non-semantic presentational documents or in the proprietary data structures of commercial content and learning management systems.With the advent of Semantic Web Standards, producers of online resources have a new framework to support the open exchange of software-readable datasets. Despite these advances, the state of the art of digital representation of rubrics as sharable documents has not progressed.This paper proposes an ontological model for digital rubrics. This model is built upon the Semantic Web Standards of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), principally the Resource Description Framework (RDF) and Web Ontology Language (OWL).

Incretin receptor null mice reveal key role of GLP-1 but not GIP in pancreatic beta cell adaptation to pregnancy.

Islet adaptations to pregnancy were explored in C57BL6/J mice lacking functional receptors for glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) and gastric inhibitory polypeptide (GIP). Pregnant wild type mice and GIPRKO mice exhibited marked increases in islet and beta cell area, numbers of medium/large sized islets, with positive effects on Ki67/Tunel ratio favouring beta cell growth and enhanced pancreatic insulin content. Alpha cell area and glucagon content were unchanged but prohormone convertases PC2 and PC1/3 together with significant amounts of GLP-1 and GIP were detected in alpha cells. Knockout of GLP-1R abolished these islet adaptations and paradoxically decreased pancreatic insulin, GLP-1 and GIP. This was associated with abolition of normal pregnancy-induced increases in plasma GIP, L-cell numbers, and intestinal GIP and GLP-1 stores. These data indicate that GLP-1 but not GIP is a key mediator of beta cell mass expansion and related adaptations in pregnancy, triggered in part by generation of intra-islet GLP-1.

Sistema de representació per una web 3.0.

En la web, hi ha una gran quantitat de coneixement desorganitzat i molt heterogeni. Tal com està construïda ara mateix la web, es possible que el coneixement sobre un camp estigui dispers per varis recursos de la web. Una forma d'intentar inferir coneixement de recursos diferents sense intervenció humana, seria creant programes intel·ligents que interpretessin la informació de les diferents fonts. Aquesta solució seria costosa i seria tot un repte fer-ho. D'altra banda, també hi ha la idea, d'acompanyar els continguts amb representació d'ells mateixos, (una representació estandarditzada), que permetés crear autentiques xarxes de coneixement per les quals un programa intel·ligent podria inferir coneixement molt mes fàcilment. El propòsit d'aquest projecte és aprofundir sobre aquesta última proposta, que afegeix coneixement a la web. Per fer-ho coneixerem una eina proposada per afegir significat a la web, l'OWL. Investigarem les seves característiques, i la seva base i entendrem perquè i com s'utilitza. També es presentaran diferents eines per treballar amb OWL. Finalment es presentarà una web semàntica a mode d'exemple.

Información y caracterización de los contenidos de las páginas web sobre antivacunación en Internet en lengua castellana y catalana

En el presente estudio se presenta un análisis de los contenidos antivacunas en páginas web publicado en Internet, tomando como referencia el trabajo ya realizado en el año 2005 por Zimmerman et al. (2005) en lengua inglesa. El objetivo es identificar, analizar y caracterizar los contenidos web antivacunas en Internet en lengua castellana y catalana.
