Estudio histológico comparativo de la reparación ósea entre hueso alveolar y extra-alveolar en los cerdos sometidos a osteotomía con alta y baja velocidad, con refrigeración líquida

Taking into account the bone repair process in pigs has shown a greater similarity among the histological variables studied compared to other biological models, the present study has as its aim to evaluate the histological bone repair process of osteotomy performed on alveolar and extra-alveolar bones, using drilling tools with liquid refrigeration. Material and method: Eighteen Large White pigs weighing between 20 and 25 Kg were divided into three groups of six animals in order to evaluate the osteotomy repairs with low and high speed in the alveolar bone and threes in the extra-alveolar area, study periods of 7, 14 and 28 days. Results: It was observed that in the alveolar bone at the postoperative times of 14 and 28 days, the best repair results were in the osteotomy performed with low speed, while in the 7 day postoperative period, the results with high speed were slightly better, in alveolar areas as well as extra-alveolar areas. There no statistically significant differences between the alveolar and extra-alveolar bone repair process. Conclusions: The repair process, by means of microscopic analysis in the alveolar and extra-alveolar areas, are similar with better results observed in osteotomies performed with low speed drills in the 14 and 28 day study periods, and at 7 days postoperative the results with high speed drills and refrigeration were slightly better. Research works using pigs as an animal model are perfectly viable. © 2011 SECOM.

Sobre la baja y estable carga fiscal en México

La baja carga tributaria, su elevada dependencia de los ingresos petroleros y su escaso efecto para reducir la concentración del ingreso son deficiencias fundamentales que limitan el desarrollo económico de México. El propósito del presente trabajo es examinar la evolución de largo plazo de los ingresos tributarios en México e identificar las causas detrás de su marcada estabilidad y debilidad. Para ello, en el trabajo se aborda el análisis de los elementos principales que han determinado la carga tributaria en el país y, a la vez, se hace un recuento crítico de algunos de los principales intentos y propuestas para instrumentar una reforma fiscal profunda. Dicho diagnóstico cierra con una sección de conclusiones en las que se apunta a la necesidad de hacer una reforma fiscal, que vaya mucho más allá de la que se puso en marcha en 2013, a fin de dotarlo de mayor equidad, eficiencia y capacidad recaudatoria que tanto urgen al desarrollo del país.

Desenvolvimento de um computador de bordo para veículo Baja-SAE

The objective of this paper is show the development of an Eletronic Control Unit (ECU) for Baja-SAE vehicles from its requirements to final implementation. An ECU for Baja-SAE vehicles is made of electric and electronic circuits (appropriated to the hostile situations of an off-road competition) able to make important measurements for the running or stand-by vehicle performance. For this development, some concepts were studied: embedded electronics concepts (mainly microcontrollers and data acquisition circuits) and sensoring. Both the studies were made considering the off-road environment. After these initial studies, the elaboration of the basics hardware and software (under simulations) has begun, and this elaboration objectives maximum performance and low implementation cost. After the theorical studies, basic definition of the hardware and software’s architectures and simulations, the printed circuit boards (PCB) were made, as exhaustive tests in these boards for debugging and verify if the boards work well. Once the system was tested in the university, it ran into a regional Southeast competition in 2010, that definitely proved the efficiency of the whole system
