Uma estratégia para o ensino da ordem dos elementos na frase portuguesa

Neste artigo examinam-se alguns aspectos da ordem dos elementos na frase portuguesa e sugere-se uma estratégia para a abordagem da questão no ensino de Língua Portuguesa.

A ordem de palavras e o caráter nominativo/ergativo do português falado

O português falado do Brasil, contrariamente à afirmação de que é uma língua SVO (sujeito-verbo-objeto), apresenta duas ordens predominantes: SV(O) (sujeito-verbo-(objeto)) e VS (verbo- sujeito). Essas duas ordens, na verdade, representam dois padrões de construção sintática, o nominativo e o ergativo. Do ponto de vista paradigmático-identificacional, a ordem SV(O) corresponde ao padrão nominativo, e a VS, ao ergativo, uma vez que o Si (sujeito de verbo intransitivo) da estrutura VS apresenta a mesma matriz de traços do O (objeto) da estrutura SV(O), em contraposição ao St (sujeito de verbo transitivo). Há assim um alinhamento Si-O, característico das línguas ergativas, em construções existenciais/apresentativas (com verbo de um lugar existencial - V1e), mas um alinhamento St-Si, característico das línguas nominativas, em construções com verbos de dois lugares (V2) e de um lugar não-existencial (V1 ~e). O português apresenta, portanto, com as estruturas intransitivas, uma ergatividade cindida.

Uma abordagem funcionalista da ordem de palavras no português falado

O presente trabalho trata do valor funcional das duas ordens de palavras naturais do português falado: SV(O) e VS. A ordem SV(O), que representa a relação tópico - comentário, implica transitividade relativamente alta. Em conseqüência, constitui geralmente a porção de figura do discurso, contribuindo, assim, para a progressão discursiva. A ordem VS, por sua vez, que apresenta apenas o comentário, implica baixa transitividade. Conseqüentemente constitui a porção de fundo, contribuindo, assim, para a montagem do cenário discursivo. As duas ordens configuram, portanto, juntamente com o grau de transitividade, marcas do relevo discursivo.

A ordem variável do adjetivo em anúncios jornalísticos do século XIX: uma questão semântico-discursiva

Neste trabalho, analisamos os adjetivos atributivos em anúncios de jornais paulistas do século XIX para identificar o que determinaria o uso de Adj+N ou N+Adj. Categorias sintatico-semânticas sozinhas não explicam tal variação. A correlação entre elas e o contexto discursivo predetermina a escolha de uma posição no sintagma, demonstrando que a posição pós-nominal - típica do adjetivo - é, em alguns casos, relativa.

The article aims to review the discussion on police role within institutional reform in São Paulo First Republic implementation. The main argument refers to the formation of brazilian judicial system and to the continuity of the debate on public policies reforms, administration of justice and police control over lower social classes, by means of a criminalization of the poverty. The judicial administration was reformed, but that opened space for police institutions to act without constraints. Despite theses changes, state institutions were also used by tradicional social elites in neo-patrimonial ways, allowing the maintenance of unlawful practices within the system.

The change in design of a building can occur during its construction process, especially when this change involves greater amount of profit for the building company, as it is the case of adding extra floors. However, there must be an analysis of the structure of the building in order to see if it is possible to increase the number of floors without the need of reinforcement, as this need would result in higher costs for the building company. Impactos de atividades de exploração de petróleo e gás natural sobre a comunicação acústica de Mysticeti (ordem Cetacea): uma revisão

Acoustic communication is essential in mammals and has three main functions: acquisition of information about the environment, intraspecific communication and detection of predators and prey. Studies indicate that the introduction of sounds produced by anthropogenic activities such as military exercises, use of sonar and activities related to the extraction of oil and natural gas can cause interference in cetacean communication. Recently, the discovery of pre-salt tends to increase these activities. After a decade since the launch date of IBAMA`s licensing and before the imminent increase in exploration activities in Brazil, it is essential to conduct studies to monitor closely the impact of this type of activity on the marine ecosystem. Thus, this study aims to identify potential impacts that the process of oil and natural gas exploration and production might have on the communication of baleen whales. Data from literature on bioacoustics and ecology of these animals were linked with technical-scientific data regarding this type of activity. 310 documents related to the topic were analyzed. Among them only 81 documents are of academic origin, and the others mostly action plans and reports from government agencies. 80% of the documents do not have any species as a focus, and in the remaining 20%, 17% were focused on the Greenland Whale (Balaena mysticetus) and 22% on the gray whale (Eschrichtius robustus). The main impacts identified in this study were the increased frequency and amplitude of vocalization, reduction or cessation of more elaborate songs and masking problems
