Standardised innovation management systems: a case study of the Spanish Standard UNE 166002:2006

This paper describes the experience of a Spanish manufacturing firm that implemented the UNE 166002:2006 standard, which is the first in the world to offer a certifiable standardised management system for innovation. After a brief review of innovation management in general, the paper describes the history, objectives, and content of the UNE 166002:2006 Spanish standard and the family of standards to which it belongs. The paper then presents a case study of the implementation of the standard in a manufacturing company, describing the benefits and difficulties of the implementation as detected by the company personnel involved. The paper concludes with a discussion of the desirability and feasibility of creating an international innovation management standard and a new generation of innovation management processes based on a standard for innovation

The Krem Trekker Diaries

The Krem Trekker Diaries is the first social polling made in modern China. The research was made at a Southern China university during two years and reveals the thoughts and attitudes of Chinese students, i.e. the future decision makers. The research is a treasury for every brand manager, businessman or politician interested in the inner world of the rising middle class of China.

Julkiset hankinnat: Case Helsingin seurakuntayhtymä

Tutkimuksen pääideana on tutkia miten julkisia hankintoja koskeva lainsäädäntö näkyy seurakuntayhtymän hankinnoissa. Julkisia hankintoja tutkitaan lakitekstien ja alan kirjallisuuden pohjalta sekä Helsingin seurakuntayhtymän työntekijän haastattelun pohjalta. Tutkielmassa käydään läpi muun muassa hankintalain mukaiset julkisten hankintojen pääperiaatteet ja hankintamenettelyt. Lisäksi työssä käydään läpi lyhyesti julkisten hankintojen hankintaprosessi. Työn loppuosa käsittelee Helsingin seurakuntayhtymää.

Automotive catalyst, using in Brazil since 1992, is a essential technology for vehicular emissions control. Noble metals are the active phase of these catalysts, and cerium zirconium mixed oxides (CZ), responsibles for the oxygen storage capacity (OSC), one of the most important aspect for the operational performance of the catalyst. In this context, the oxireduction properties analysis of CZ and Pd/CZ (palladium supported in CZ) system are the objective of this study, as well as, the impact of the thermal aging in the OSC. Aging consisted of treatments at 900 or 1200 °C, for 12 or 36 h, in oxidizing condition.

Hankintaprosessin optimaalinen toteutus: Case Medi-IT Oy

Tutkielman tavoitteena on löytää hankintaprosessin optimaalinen toteutustapa tutkimuksen kohdeyritykselle. Tutkielmassa kuvataan kohdeyrityksen hankintaprosessin kulku nykyisellään ja annetaan kehitysehdotuksia. Tutkielmassa pohditaan sitä, mitä osia kohdeyrityksen tulisi hankintaprosessissa suorittaa itse, ja mitä osia puolestaan tulisi ulkoistaa palveluntarjoajille. Tutkielmassa tutkitaan myös ICT-hankintoihin liittyviä erityispiirteitä ja haasteita. Lisäksi tutkielmassa käydään läpi toimittajien vertailussa käytettäviä kriteerejä. Myös hankintalain vaikutusta kohdeyrityksen toimintaan tarkastellaan lyhyesti. Tutkimuksen teoreettinen viitekehys koostuu neljästä teoria-alueesta, jotka ovat: ulkoistaminen, toimittajien luokittelu, toimittajien arviointi ja julkiset hankinnat. Teorian ja empirian välisen vuoropuhelun avulla esitetään ehdotus hankintaprosessin optimaaliseksi toteutustavaksi. Muutoksia ehdotetaan erityisesti toimijoiden väliseen roolijakoon hankintaprosessissa. Työ on luonteeltaan kvalitatiivinen tapaustutkimus. Teoriaosio perustuu kirjallisuuskatsaukseen ja empiriaosio perustuu lähinnä haastatteluihin.
