A responsabilidade de traduzir o in-traduzível: Jacques Derrida e o desejo de [la] tradução

How should one consider the responsibility of the translator, who is located between the differences of two linguistic systems and in the middle of the various idioms constitute each of the languages involved in the translation? (P. Ottoni). What is the role of the translator in inter-acting with both his/her mother tongue and the idiom of the other? These two questions will be discussed in order to reflect on the responsibility of translating the un-translatable. Two hypotheses orient the paper: 1 - an idiom spoken idiomatically is known as the mother tongue and is not appropriated, so that accommodating the other in one's own language automatically considers his/her idiom (J. Derrida) and 2 - face-to-face with language and its idioms, the translator is trapped in a double (responsibility) bind; faced with something which cannot be translated, he/she is forced to perceive it in another way. In conclusion, how should one consider the responsibility of translating the un-translatable Jacques Derrida?

Nées des travaux des féministes américaines, les gender studies, faut-il le rappeler, se sont constituées aux Etats Unis dans les années quatre-vingts à partir des questionnements sur les rapports hommes / femmes au sein de la société. Depuis les années soixante-dix, la French Theory avait déjà joué un rôle très important dans le débat théorique américain avec les philosophes Gilles Deleuze, Jacques Derrida, Michel Foucault, Jean-François Lyotard… Remettant sans cesse en question le pouvoir, l’institution et la manière de penser, ils se sont distingués par la force de leur posture critique et par leur engagement. Aussi faut-il rappeler l’importance des travaux et des réflexions de femmes intellectuelles françaises, comme Hélène Cixous, Julia Kristeva, Luce Irigaray et tant d’autres pour les études du genre.

Biostratigraphie et paléoécologie des peuplements d'ostracodes dans le Domérien du Bassin Lusitanien, Portugal

The Domerian sections from the Lusitanian Basin of São Pedro de Muel, Rabaçal and Tomar have provided us with more than 1100 Ostracods belonging from 18 genus and about 48 species. The faunal diversity and density of the associations decrease in space (from Tomar to Rabaçal and São Pedro de Muel) and time, with favourable environments for the proliferation of Ostracods at the lower part of the sections (Stokesi subzone) and more hostile at the upper part (Ragazzonii subzone). The Monestieri and Nitescens horizons and the Subnodosus subzone are characterized by a typical assemblage of Ostracods. The palaeoecological Ostracod indexes reveal the fluctuations of the oxygenation, temperature, depth and hydrodynamism of the water, on the different sections and on the whole platform. They display a diachronous cooling in the Lower Domerian series. In the upper part of the Middle and in the Upper Domerian, the deeper, less oxygenated and cooler waters prevent the development of the Ostracod faunas.

As eleições europeias de 2014 para o Parlamento Europeu viram mais uma redução na afluência de eleitores, uma tendência contínua desde a primeira eleição direta em 1979 que sublinha a incapacidade da União Europeia para captar o interesse dos seus cidadãos.Desde a sua fundação, o projecto europeu foi adaptado para atender às necessidades das elites europeias e vários grupos de interesse, mas tem lutado para comunicar as suas ambições e sucessos para o público em geral. Este relatórioprimeiramente examina o desenvolvimento das políticas de comunicação e de informação da União Europeia ao longo dos anos e alguns dos sinais do défice de comunicação entre a União Europeia e os seus cidadãos.Em seguida, o relatório vai apresentar o Centro de Informação Europeia Jacques Delors, um dos intermediários da União Europeia em Portugal, onde eu realizei o meu estágio e cujos objetivos são divulgar informação sobre as políticas, iniciativas e informações gerais provenientes da sede europeia.Depois vou apresentar as tarefas que eu tinha de completar durante a duração do meu estágio e as observações que conlui.
